The crisp voice of the child stunned everyone.
Following which, Pei Ge was visibly affected.
Her downcast mood eased, and she quickly walked to Ji Chi.

This call was apparently not directed to her!
“Ping An, you finally remember mommy!”
Reaching his bedside fast, she stretched her hands out to hug her son whom she had just gotten back.
What she did not expect, though, was for the child to push her away.
“Go away, strange woman! You’re not my mommy!”
The little boy pushed her away and complained loudly.
This stunned everyone in the ward.
However, what was more unexpected and more baffling came next!

Being pushed aside by her son who called her a stranger was clearly a huge blow to the woman.
“What Ping An? I’m not him! You, strange woman, can you stop calling me that? It sounds so old-fashioned!”
The boy did not feel any guilt when facing the hurt woman. Rather, he did not even like her at all.
“Ji Chi! You can’t speak like that to your mother!”
Ji Ziming quickly strode over, gently hugging the woman while coldly rebuking the child.
“Daddy, how can you hug another woman?! Also, she’s not my mommy! Hmph!”
Seeing how his father was hugging Pei Ge and even scolding him, the boy felt even more wronged.
However, despite that, he still forced himself to feign nonchalance.
