These four soon arrived at the entrance to the Ji family’s house.

They had just walked past the entrance when the boy’s loud wailing reached their ears. This was despite them still being quite a distance from his room.
“I want my mommy!”
His loud wailing made Pei Ge’s heart uneasy, and the anxiety on her face became more apparent.
Her footsteps also became more hurried as she rushed to reach his room.
The ruckus at the door caused the Ji couple to look backward.
Their faces lit up the moment they saw the two.
“Ziming, you guys are finally here. This child woke up from a nightmare and keeps shouting for you and his mother.”
Madam Ji patted her chest and said to them as if having received amnesty.
Alas, in the next second, when Pei Ge walked over to the child, she was dealt another big blow.
The boy, who clearly had not recovered yet, was calling for a mother in a loud voice. This made her heart break.
After putting the daughter in her arms down, she quickly made her way to him.

Before her hands could reach his head, they were slapped away by the boy.
“You bad woman, stay away from me!”

This scene stunned everyone.
“Baby, she’s your mommy. Didn’t you keep calling for her earlier?”
The older woman anxiously cut in between the two and softly consoled her grandson.
“She’s not my mommy! My mommy isn’t her! I want my mommy! I want my mommy…”
The child started crying again.

Pei Ge felt awful inside as she watched the boy call for a mother despite being out of breath.
Although she knew that her child could not remember her because he was under hypnosis, she still felt terrible.
“Ping An…”
She softly mumbled and then felt her hands being held by a pair of small ones.
“Mommy, don’t be sad; little brother will definitely remember us eventually.”
“Yes, mommy, don’t be sad. Little brother will get well one day.”
She lowered her head to find her two kids looking at her worriedly and her lips curled up. Somehow, she felt slightly better.
“Mhm. Mommy isn’t sad.”
She took a deep breath, looked at the boy, who was wailing and shouting, and shifted her gaze onto the man.
“Ziming, go call Miss Qu over. Ping An will calm down and go back to sleep only if she is here.”
