Li Rong recieved the coordinates of Yueyue's current location and rushed towards the place in his car. His back drenched in a cold sweat worrying about Yueyue's current predicament. He couldn't calm down his heart beat and just hoped that he reached the place before things took a turn for the worse and that he wasn't too late for help and rescue.
On the other side, Zixi and Su Li watched as a car entered the warehouse. They watched silently and vigilantly as the person responsible for the kidnapping got off the car and came towards them. As soon as Su Li saw the person's face she was shocked. She hadn't even imagined that the mastermind behind all this would be the Li Patriarch. He was the Head of Li family and Li Rong's grandfather. The Li's and Yu's had good personal and professional relations so, she couldn't even fathom why he had her kidnapped and brought here. Though, she didn't know the reasons behind his actions, she could instinctively feel that the matter wasn't small and with this move of his, the kid gloves had been taken off from his side and that he was malevolent towards her family. Reaching a swift decision, she stood up from her position and questioned him, "It's you? Why would you this?"
His response left her even more stupified.
"Miss Yu, let me tell you that it's neither you nor your actions that have earned by anger. On the contrary, I quite like you. After all, my grandson is a close friend of yours and he always praises you to high - heavens all the time. It's your father who has irked me beyond limits. He seems to think of himself as a person who is unparllaled in tents of his cleverness. He is delusional in his belief that nobody would find out about his actions and deeds in the dark that he is capable of. I have always suspected him and my suspicions have been proved right in the last few months. I have tried to loosen his mouth overtly and covertly since then but he has been astonishingly tight - lipped about the information I want and I have ran out of patience. Therefore, to help him loosen his mouth I had no other choice except to kidnap you. I am sure this will prompt him to answer my queries. What do you think, Miss Yu?"
"Mr. Li, I don't know what you are talking about. However, you must realise that if anything happens to me while am in your dubious care, the Yu patriarch wouldn't mind taking it out of the hide of the other people in your family and that he will be out for your blood as well."
"My dear, that is where you are wrong. I truly don't want to harm you and I promise that I won't. I just want your father to divulge a few secrets that I am after, nothing else and am sure when he realises that you are with me, he wouldn't he so hard headed as he has been."
Just as Su Li was about to reply to his words, another car rushed into the warehouse while breaking the doors of the said building. Everyone turned towards this unexpected arrival and were momentarily rendered speechless when they saw that it was Li Rong that had arrived.
Li Rong was even more flabbergasted than the people already present there when he saw the situation. He saw his grandfather was looming over Yueyue as if questioning her and he understood the circumstances. He couldn't fathom that how could his grandfather be the one who had kidnapped the eldest miss of the Yu family. He also recognised the fact that he had no hope of making his grandfather redact his steps. Afterall, no leader would do something like this if wasn't the last resort. Likewise, he also knew that he had to save Yueyue from this situation no matter what.
"Grandfather, why have you kidnapped princess? Let all of us take a step back and maybe this mess can still be resolved."
The Li Patriarch shook his head in a negative response to his grandson and replied, "No, you have always been wrapped around this girl's finger so I know you wouldn't take your familie's side in this conflict, my boy. But rest assured that I won't harm a single hair on Miss Yu so, just stay out of this. I just want some information and after her father gives it to me, I'll let everyone go unharmed."
Zixi had a faint inkling at this point. He could guess what this was all about but he still wanted a confirmation about his guess before he came to a decision about his next course of actions. Therefore, he started talking.
"Old Master Li, why don't you tell us what information you want from the Yu patriarch. Maybe the Eldest Miss knows something about what you are after and will tell you. Then we can put this unpleasant business behind us and carry on as if nothing ever happened. But once the Yu patriarch is informed that you have kidnapped his precious first - born, what do you think his response will be to your unwanted provocation?"
The Li patriarch turned towards the guy who had just asked him the question and said, "Oh! You are Xun Zixi. You are Miss Yu's close - aide. I have heard about you. You seem to be quite intelligent so you answer me Mr. Xun. Do you think you are in a position to negotiate or even question me right now?"
Just as they were talking, Li Rong took a step forward and punched one of his grandfather's henchmen. This was clearly an indication of what he wanted to do. Suddenly there was chaos all around Su Li. She watched as Li Rong and Zixi started fighting the people around them but both of them refrained from getting near and harming the Li patriarch.
The Li patriarch could also see that his ploy had been foiled by his own grandson and was furious about it. Still he ordered his people to take care of the matter and left in his car. During the ensuing fight, Li Rong pulled Yueyue out of the warehouse but they had been somehow seperated from Zixi. Su Li watched in growing horror as the doors of the warehouse closed once again while Zixi had been surrounded and overpowered by others.
"Zixi, Zixi" She shouted at the top of her voice, she tried to push Li Rong aside to go back inside but to no avail.
Suddenly she fainted.
Li Rong brought the unconscious Yueyue to a van parked nearby. Luckily the keys of the van were still in the ignition. He laid Yueyue in the back seat of the van gently and removed the ropes tied to her hands and feet. Afterwards she sped off toward the capital city. He knew that he had to talk to princess and somehow coax her so that this matter wasn't reported back in its enterity to her father and escalated even further. He didn't know what drove the Li patriarch to take such a drastic and unwise step but he didn't want the fallout of one person's unthinkable actions to befall everybody else in the family. Even if he wasn't the original Li Rong, he had still obtained the love and care of this family so he would try his best to minimise the resulting outcome.
He was also worried about Zixi - the person he had left behind. With princess's nature if something dreadful befell that guy, she would never forgive herself and live a guilt - ridden life.
