“Ah! Look what we got! Gas! Vegetables! Rice! Wow! In the evening we can have a hot meal!” Song Xiaoya said in surprise from the kitchen, “I am going to cook now.”
Xia Liang shook her head and thought to herself, “You wouldn’t say that when it is night.” But anyway, she didn’t stop her. After all, it was better to have something hot food to eat other than some cookies.
Later, Xia Liang searched every corner of all rooms in the house and finally found two short, thin candles.
This obviously didn’t work. Without light at night, they would be in an extreme danger.
Even if it turned out that no monsters attacked them eventually, they had to prepare some just in case.
“Brother, we need to go out again.” Xia Liang shared her findings and concerns with Xia Min.
“You are observant, Liang.” Xia Min gave her a compliment, “Wait a moment. I need to inform them first. It won’t take me long.”
Xia Min found Captain Sun and got the car key, and told them to keep alert and things they needed to take care of. He left with Xia Liang, without letting anyone else follow them.
Soon later, they found a fairly big supermarket.
“Brother, are you sure to pick this one?” Xia Liang hesitated and warned him, “It’s likely quite dangerous.”
It was a one-floor supermarket, but quite big, big enough to be a shelter for many zombies to hide in.
“But we may find big candles here. It may also have emergency lamps, hammers, sticks and things like that.” Xia Min explained, “We need those.”
“You wait in the car. I will go inside by myself.” Xia Min, of course, knew how dangerous it could be. But the sun was about to set very soon. They didn’t have much time to waste on searching more supermarkets. This one may be the best chance they could have.
“Xia Min!” Xia Liang gave him a stare, but her voice cooled down a bit, “Hurry up! We are running out of time.”
After she said that, without looking at Xia Min, she held the iron bar in her hands and trying to get out of the car first.
“Liang, I am sorry I was wrong.” Xia Min apologized as she turned around, holding her arm.
He was kind of hurting her by pushing her way for her own good without considering her feelings.
“It’s all right. I just don’t like it when you put it that way.” Xia Liang turned back at him and said, “You can push anyone away but ynot me, never! I will always got your back and protect you forever.”
“I swear I will never say such things again.”
Then she held Xia Min’s hand and got out of the car.
Holding her hand, Xia Liang gazed at her with passion. Just because of what she said, his heart was melt down as if his heart was poured into lava, which took his breath away.
Unfortunately, there was no way for him to vent those burning and crazy feelings out. He wasn’t able to take her into his arms tightly, nor kiss her on her lips violently, or at least, he couldn’t tell her how he felt about her.
It was a torture that would last a lifetime!
Why? Why were they brother and sister?
Xia Liang didn’t know how Xia Min was desperate and painful after she said those things unintentionally.
When they were getting to the entrance, Xia Min forced himself to clear his emotions away and walked into the shop.
Roar!
Bang! Bang!
The monsters inside began to roar as they smelt them.
From the moment they entered the shop, there was noises here and there, monster roars, footsteps, and sound of items falling on the ground.
