Xia Liang had received several missions since she arrived this world a few days ago.

Her missions were different from previous ones. Some of them were simple and small, with lower points in return.

For example, she got 20 points if she logged in the game for at least 30 minutes a day to do tasks for 10 straight days.

For now, in addition to the new mission, she still had two missions to finish.

One was to help three people to fix their problems for 50 points. There was a standard of how difficulty their problems were, not as simple as pouring a glass of water.

So far she had helped two people. One more person, she would get the points, which would be easy.

The other mission was about herself.

The original Xia Liang was shy and poor at social skills. No one would notice her no matter where she went. Because of her conservative and isolated personality, she was excluded and laughed at by her classmates.

However, from the bottom of her heart, she was eager to get attention. She was desperate for a friend and to become an awesome person. She wished she could win something and earn respect and pride.

Therefore, Xia Liang’s second mission was to ace the final exam and also top as No. 1 Priest in the War God of Hero World. Once she succeeded, she would get 100 points.

To ace the exam was not difficult for Xia Liang at all because she had a photographic ability. And she was super smart. It was very easy for her to get a good result in the final exam.

But it was quite a challenge to be ranked the No. 1 in War God list because it was quite a professional player thing.

When she received the mission, she had read the rules of being ranked in that list and gotten to know about Top 10 players. Finally, she came to a conclusion.

She didn’t need to challenge all players on the list one by one. All she needed to do was to defeat Wuthering Wind, the No. 1 player.

Today she had just met him in the game.

For only 30 seconds, Xia Liang had learned it very well how good that player was. He could steal all equipment at ease while he was attacked by a dozen of players at the same time. He must be very good!

In Xia Liang’s opinion, however, a player would get used to use one pattern of moves and skills. If she could do a good study on him, she would have a chance to win no matter how good he was.

Today she shot a Punishment to him as a start of a challenge.

Just now she got the third mission.

The mission said that she would get 200 points for helping Lu Yang improve his academic performance and finally enter top 10 universities in China.

There were also a simple profile of him saying, Lu Yang, an evil student who was bad at study. He was smart but never did homework or pay attention to class. His grade ranking was currently the 35th out of 40 in the class, 1898th out of 2000 in the grade, with a score of 356. So far, there was no hope that he could enter a top university.

Xia Liang kept thinking of the mission. It was the most difficult, based on the points she would get.

Besides,

Lu Yang? Sounds familiar.

A while later, she finally remembered the boy whom she had helped with broken leg was Lu Yang.

He must be the one in the mission.

Now come to think of it, he said he was also in class 7, grade 3, meaning that he was her classmate.

It was easier to help him since they were in the same class. And it was even much easier if he could sit next to her.

While Xia Liang was planning how to become his deskmate, how to force him to study hard to improve his grades, she eventually fell into sleep.

The next morning, in the classroom of class 7, grade 3, No. 1 middle school.

When Xia Liang finally ran to the classroom out of breath, it was already morning study time. Hao Ming, the head teacher, was standing in front and staring at her angrily.

“Morning, sir!” Xia Liang said to the teacher at the doorway, catching breath.

Hao Ming pushed his glasses upward and approached Xia Liang, “come with me.”

When they went outside the classroom, Hao Ming said to Xia Liang, “why are you late?”

“I was too busy with helping my grandpa with medical herbs to check time.” Xia Liang answered.

As the head teacher, Hao Ming knew very well her family. After her parents had died, she lived with her grandpa. Although they were not poor, their lives were still difficult.

For what Hao Ming observed lately, Xia Liang was too introverted and cold. She didn’t fit in the class. She even barely talked to her classmates.

Hao Ming knew how important a family was to a child. Therefore, he paid extra attention to Xia Liang. He said gently to her, “I am not blaming you. But you are in grade 3. Every second matters! You’d better take it serious. Besides, you are new here in the school. What you have learned before might be different from what we teach here. You need to work harder. Do you understand?”

“Mm.” Xia Liang said, looking up at Hao Ming, “thank you, sir.”

“Go and read your books. You can ask teachers and classmates for any help. We are your friends and will help you.” Hao Ming said as Xia Liang looked down as she was shutting him out of her world.

Hao Ming sighed in mind. What a poor girl!

An idea came across Xia Liang’s mind. Would Mr. Hao agree if she proposed that she wanted a different deskmate?

But for what reason?

Xia Liang was having a trouble with finding a good reason to be Lu Yang’s deskmate.

“Lu Yang, you are late again!” Hao Ming stepped forward. His voice became louder. You could hear a bit anger and more of regret in his voice.

Lu Yang?

Jia Liang jerked to confirmed that he was the one she helped yesterday.

At that moment, he was walking slowly toward them, with a school uniform on his shoulder. He got a charming smile on his lips.
