"OK!" Xia Min paused and nodded to agree, choosing to listen to Xia Liang.

Dong Jun, who was already at the front, immediately ran as he heard Xia Min, making him the first one of the squad.
However, he didn’t realize it because he was too scared. He was too focused on running ahead.
The stairs leading to the second floor were at the back of the hotel, and they had to run another fifty meters to get there.
The interior of the hotel near the stairs was very dark, for the clerestories along the corridor were sealed so light could come in. So the inside of the hotel, especially those rooms near the stairs, was quite dark. And the deeper, the darker.
Even the back door was open, the sunshine from that door was not enough to light the way ahead.
Running forward was like running toward the endless darkness, as if they would be devoured by hidden monsters at any minute.
Those whole 50 meters would only take a person 10 seconds if running fast.
However, during the short ten seconds, different creepy sounds and roars came out of rooms they had passed.
It was as if they had opened the door of hell. When the door was open, the monsters followed in.
Xia Liang’s nerves were high-strung. She didn’t get close to the doors on both sides because she was afraid that those who had already turned into monsters would break out of the rooms suddenly and catch her!
Ten seconds later, they finally made it to the stairway. In the darkness, Dong Jun was the first one to go upstairs and climb all the way up with all his strength.
Followed by Captain Sun, Xia Min and Xia Liang.
Now Ye Fei was left backmost. When he barely made it to the stairway and was about to step up, he felt his right leg was caught by something, then his left leg too. Sharp fingers pierced into his flesh and blood directly and dragged him onto the floor.

Ye Fei screamed out of fear and pain!
"Ah! Help!”
After hearing Ye Fei’s screaming, Xia Liang and others all made a pause. Soon enough, different people made different reactions.
Xia Min and Xia Liang turned around at the same time and ran toward Ye Fei.
"Dong Jun and I will go get the keys.” Captain Sun shouted in fear. Without looking back, he ran upstairs, even faster than before.
When Xia Liang ran downstairs, under the dim light, she saw two zombies making disgusting chewing noises over Ye Fei’s body, facing them with their backs.
Xia Liang’s heart quivered, but still she held up the iron bar in her hand, rushed forward and smashed onto the head of one of the zombies with all the strength she had.
Roar!
The zombie didn’t die, but instead, its ferocity got evoked. It stood and then pounced at Xia Liang!
Whoosh!
At the moment the zombie stood up, an arrow pierced through its head and pulled him backward for a step. Then it smashed hard onto the floor.
Xia Liang knew it was Xia Min who saved her. She looked back and saw a hand reaching out of the room behind him…
