Earlier when Dong Jun and Captain Sun heard Ye Fei’s scream, they ran up to the second floor even though they were already scared enough. They dare not to look back but kept running ahead.
They were lucky but also unlucky.
As soon as they got to the second floor, there was no sign of zombies.
They were scared, but they had no idea what kind of monsters they were dealing with out there.
What was worse, they didn’t know the monsters here ate flesh.
There were not many rooms on the second floor. Captain Sun’s room was the third one near to stairway. For the spot they were at now, it was quite favorable to them.
Since the clerestory was sealed, the second floor was even darker than the first floor. They could barely see things.
“Fuck! It’s so goddamn dark in here!”
After coming upstairs, Dong Jun was so frightened that he took out his phone from his pocket with his shaking hands, and turned on the flashlight.
In an instant, the light lit up the place and also drove away the fear in his heart.
Then Captain Sun caught up behind him because he could hear his heavy panting.
Even so, Dong Jun still didn’t feel safe at all because Ye Fei’s scream from first floor scared the crap out of him.
And he could still hear the sound of smashing the door.
Through the flashlight, Dong Jun could see the door being hit from inside. It was only a matter of time that those monsters broke out.
Captain Sun was relieved to see the light in Dong Jun’s hand. He strode to his room and took out the key to unlock the room.
“Dong Jun, what the fucking are you doing? Give me some light!” Captain Sun didn’t find the keyhole after he tried a while in the dark. The more he tried, the harder his hand shook. He was so anxious that his heart nearly jumped out from his chest.
As he was trying to unlock the key, he saw Dong Jun holding up his mobile phone and waggled it all over the place. He was outraged and shouted at him.
“Fuck? Hurry up!” Hearing him, Dong Jun realized what he should do, aiming the light for the keyhole.
Both of them were focusing on unlocking the door now, as the noise around was too loud, and didn’t notice that a door behind them was opened and a zombie was approaching.
“Got it!”
Captain Sun shouted excitedly as the door was opened.
Once the door was open, Captain Sun immediately rushed in, followed by Dong Jun.
It was a small room without a window. As soon as Captain Sun rushed in, he turned on the light naturally but it was blacked out. It was still dark in the room.
“Dong Jun, I need some light.” Captain Sun shouted at Dong Jun who was behind.
“I know. Where did you put the key? Find it!” Dong Jun followed him while urging him, holding the phone in his hand.
Both of them were preoccupied with finding the key. It never occurred to them that a zombie had been following them to the doorway.
Captain Sun opened a cabinet and took out a big and found the car key.
“Found the key. Let’s go!” Captain Sun only wanted the key but finally took the entire bag with him.
Seeing he got the key, Dong Jun turned away instantly and was scared to death by the monster at the doorway.
“Ah! Help! Help! Somebody help!”
The monster at the doorway looked especially hideous and disgusting under the flashlight!
