Corrupted Vampire Bat, was the size and appearance that of Vampire Bat but with one difference – its colour which was light brown.
"It's level 5? Can I even beat it? Won't it kill me in a single hit since its three levels higher than me?" after a moment of thinking, he shook his head inwardly, "No that shouldn't be possible, considering how little damage Vampire Bats hit me for, they shouldn't be able to kill me in a single hit even if its three levels higher than me... but do I risk it?" A frown appeared on his face.
A moment passed and Dro approached in five-yard range of the Corrupted Vampire Bat and used a skill.

The Corrupted Vampire Bat showed the same reaction as the Vampire Bat – it screeched before lunging itself at Dro.
Just as the monster came in range, he used a skill, <Decimating Slash, Critical>

The Corrupted Vampire Bat attacked but its attack was different from Vampire Bat that he had killed many times already and because it was different, he didn't manage to successfully dodge.

"Damage multiplier? So my worry wasn't unfounded… but that wasn't even close to my health, it seems I can finish this quest without, good!"

Dro raised his eyebrow in surprise and thought, "That much XP? That's third of my level." His eyes moved to the corpse and once he saw that the monster had no loot, he looked away and searched for other Corrupted Vampire Bats. It didn't take long for him to discover the Corrupted Vampire Bat.

Like the one before he engaged the monster and after killing, he engaged another and another. All until he killed 13 Corrupted Vampire Bats and collected all six pelts. After killing 13 Corrupted Vampire Bats, he got 650 experience points which increased his level to Level 5 and gave him 45 attribute points he could spend. Out of 45 attribute points, he put 24 into Strength, 6 into Dexterity and the last remaining 15 into Vitality.
After looting the last Corrupted Vampire Bat corpse he looked at the quest tracker. "One quest is completed. Now I have two options, it's either that hidden quest where I have to eliminate a cave full of werewolves or the other one where I have to find and clear the threat that this village faces," he thought.
He tapped on both quests and saw that the nearer one was the later one. He without waiting for anything walked over to his chosen quest.

Looking around he saw that he was now on the beach and on this beach, more than twenty crabs roamed the area. They were large as any human and they were all deep moss green in colour and had huge pincers.

"I fought monsters few levels above me and now I will be fighting monsters few levels below. Let's see if this damage multiplier works both ways," he thought and approached the Deep Sea Crab. But unlike last times when he always started the fight with Drain skill, this time he didn't even bother as he saw no reason to do so. He simply walked over and used a skill which he didn't use as an opener before.

He approached another Deep Sea Crab and struck down with a skill.

"This will be easy," he thought and then proceeded to kill every single Deep Sea Crab on the beach with the single use of either Decimating Slash or Blood Slash. Killing all twenty Deep Sea Crabs granted him 600 experience points and it levelled him up to Level 7 and as the last Deep Sea Crab fell, a notification flashed.

He blinked his eyes and thought, "Other quests? The only one left is that hidden quest… but before that, I need to appoint my points before going."
He opened the character menu and appointed 16 points into strength, 4 into Dexterity and 10 into vitality.
He walked to the last quest, he had and upon arriving at the cave entrance, he saw a werewolf and once his eyes landed upon they widened in surprise. Not because of the monster or how it looked but because of its level, status and health.

Dro narrowed his eyes, "It is three levels higher than me and it's an elite monster.. the first one I met in this world," He glanced at his health own at top left corner.

"Doubt I will get one hit but it won't be easy to kill as well," he thought and approached the monster and unlike the crabs from before, he used the opening skill he used before he fought the crabs.

The werewolf howled, got on all fours and rushed at Dro. He prepared his sword and slashed as he used a skill.
