Upon hearing Zjir's words and seeing the Quest notification, Dro frowned.

"There is a girl further down the cave?—And she is a human girl and not a Werewolf? What is a human child even doing in a cave with an Alpha Werewolf?... Nevermind that, I have to save her, I can't let another child die but even if I accept, won't the Queen of Vampires - Erylis just kill the girl regardless… but wait, she isn't a Werewolf but a human—so maybe she won't?" He shook his head and his thoughts continued, "I can't assume that—Erylis killed 23 children before and her face showed no remorse; she referred to them as 'mutts' not to mention her tone afterwards was as if what she did was nothing wrong, I can't assume that she will spare the girl just because she is a human, if anything I have to assume that she will just kill the girl without batting an eyelid… That means if I accept, I will have to hide her from Erylis or make it so that she would have no reason to kill her… hiding her is not an option, who knows what will happen to me when she finds out that I lied to her… my only option is to turn her into a Vampire. If she is a Vampire, Erylis won't have any reason to kill her."

A frown disappeared from Dro's face and he nodded his head before saying, "I will do as you ask."

"Thank you," Zjir said.

<Option 1 Chosen>

<Quest Completed>

Zjir lowered his arms, "Come and kill me, I won't resist."

Dro nodded; he walked up to the Werewolf holding his unsheathed sword in both of his hands. Stopping near Zjir, he raised his weapon with both hands into the air. He did so as the Quest he received required him to bring back Zjir's head as proof and he didn't know that if by killing him normally would give him the head from the loot window; so he decided to just decapitate the enemy and be done with it.

At the time when Dro's sword was at it's highest point, a vicious glint flashed through Alpha Werewolf's Zjir's eyes. His left hand suddenly shot from a completely lowered position towards Dro's neck. It was so fast and unexpected that Dro couldn't react. The hand connected with its target – the neck.

Getting Dro's neck into his hand, Zjir immediately applied strength – raising Dro into the air. Dro's grip weakened on his weapon and his sword fell from his hands onto the ground with a loud sound and without harming a single hair on Zjir's body.

FA-THUD!

After the sound of the sword hitting the ground sounded, a notification message followed.

<Vampire Great Sword, Item Grade: Blue, 2H Sword, Level Required: 1, Damage 4-7, Strength +3, Vitality +1, Dropped>

Not only that but not a moment later another notification message followed. A notification message that alerted him that he received damage.

<-10, Dro>

Dro's eyes widened in shock after these events unfolded. Zjir seeing Dro's shocked eyes bellowed in a laughter during which two more damage notifications flashed before Dro.

<-10, Dro>

<-10, Dro>

<HP: 36/2250>

He with the corner of his eyes saw his health and Zjir began talking in a loud and arrogant manner; during which, Dro received even more damage from getting chocked, leaving him with only 6 health.

"Did you actually believe that I would trust you—a Vampire?! Hahaha! To think that Vampires are so stupid! I just wanted to buy time for myself but to think you would actually accept my offer. Are all the Vampires so retarded now? First was that Juri who told everything he knew to one of my own—Did you know that thanks to the intel he provided us, I have formed a perfect battle plan to annihilate that little village. The attack will begin any moment now. Hahaha!" He then smiled widely, "I have to attend the slaughter. Time to die, Vampire scum!"

Zjir formed a claw with his fingers and thrust his right hand at Dro's heart.

As Zjir's hand was flying through the air and towards Dro's heart. Dro suddenly recalled that he still had his defensive ability, <Blood Pool> and even though he didn't know if it would work as he was being held in mid-air, he was more willing to try, because if it didn't work he would without a doubt die.

Dro's body turned into the blood which made him slip through the Zjir's grip and fall to the ground

<-0, Dro>

The werewolf's eyes widened and he bellowed in shock, "Impossible! That ability! It's the ability that only the Vampire Progenitors can use! Don't tell me! You are a Vampire Progenitor?!"

Dro didn't reply to the Werewolf, he only sighed inwardly in relief as he escaped certain death. In his <Blood Puddle> state, he moved away from the Alpha Werewolf; turning back to his real form once he was in 12-yards range away from Zjir and once he turned back, he glared at the Werewolf for a moment and in this single moment, he thought vowing to himself, "I will not trust enemies who turn into quest givers before getting killed."

<Blood Spear>

<-430 (Damage multiplier applied because of level difference), Alpha Werewolf – Zjir>

< Alpha Werewolf – Zjir, Slain>

<+625 XP>

As the notifications messages flashed, he heaved a sigh of relief and at that time a young and immature voice entered his ears, "You are really going to bring me back home?!"

<???? Favourability +1>

Dro turned his head to the voice and saw a little girl standing further ahead with her hand against the wall. At the location where the open area ended and the path narrowed into a tunnel. The girl was seven years old, had a childish looking face with some dirt on her cheeks, straight mid-length brown hair, beautiful orange eyes and plain clothes. Her appearance was cute.

Dro nodded, "Yes, I will bring you back home"
