Ren walked to the stable in the village and rented a horse for 3 Gold and 50 Silver Coins. He needed to return the horse to the other branch of this stable in the town untill 24 hours later or else he will be fined with more golds.
he got on the black horse he got from the stable, he went on it and started riding it like he was riding master, another advantage of being a reincarnator.
he went towards the north and after an hour of riding it he reached his destination, The Rebirth Town.
After reaching the town he went straightly to the south side of the town, right to the south gate of the town, as he went towards the gate while pulling hos black horse with him like he wanted to enter the town he was stopped by the gaurds of the gate.
"HALT!!!" came an angry shout from one of the two gaurds.
'Just as I expected.' Ren grinned as he stopped.
He didn't plan to actually enter the town through the gate as he knew he couldn't enter right now, as he didn't fullfill the requirement for entry to the town at the moment, and he wasn't here because he wanted to enter the town from the beginning.
"What is it you dear respectful gaurds?" Ren said with a smile on his face while showing a reverent face with shining eyes yelling I admire you guys so much.
Seeing Ren's shining eyes full of respect and reverence the gaurd that wanted to bark at Ren in anger calmed down and had a complete change in attitude as he nodded his head like he was saying 'you're not half bad'.
After nodding his head the gaurd said with a change in attitude. "Lad, you were committing a major crime by trying to trespass to the town, but as you seem to be a just and honest person who can differentiate between wrong and right... so the only possibility for you trying to trespass is that you don't know the rules so we will let it pass this time."
"uhh... there was such a thing?!?" Ren said with a lost face like he had no idea what was happening.
Ren continued with an apologetic face "I'm so sorry dear gaurds I really had no idea I was committing a crime... ."
Then Ren talked again with an embarrassed face like he was feeling really guilty about continuing his dialogue "May I ask a question if it's not a bother to your precious time of gaurding the town and kerping it safe from the villains... as I really admire you heroes' work I don't want to get in the way of justice... ." at the end of his speech his eyes were shining again with reverence and deep respect.
The gaurds had seen thousands of people enter and exit the town everyday so they had good grasp of understanding other people's characteristic and personality so seeing Ren's eyes and these many changes to his face they knew right away he was some one who respected them and their work greatly.
Heck, he even saw them as heroes who foght the villains to protect the town and there was no falsehood and pretense on his face while saying these words so it really made the two gaurds embarrassed by how much he overestimated their job.
Ren had said they were heroes who fought the villains so even though they were embarrased by this hyperbole they were still thrilled by the compliments and felt proud of themselves inwardly.
They puffed out their chests unconsciously as one of them said with a little more confidence in himself "You jest. as you seem to be an honest and just person... we see it within our duty to guide a lost good person. so just ask your question as it is no bother."
"you see... as you might have already guessed, I'm a new person in the town. If it's not an offense I wanted to ask what was my crime and why can't I enter the town?" Ren asked while showing a face like he was honored by this allowance for asking.
"You just wanted to ask this? well it's okay... let me enlighten you of the rules then. as you are a new person in the town I guess it's okay that you don't know the rules... well there is a rule saying that immortals can't enter the town before reaching level 30 and you seem to not have reached level 30... so it was your crime and the reason why you can't enter the town." explained one of the gaurds with patience.
"So that was my mistake... I'm so sorry again." said Ren showing an apologetic face again "But you see eventhough I'm not level 30 I can easily handle monsters of those levels... as I had no other worthwhile quests to do in the village I was forced to try my luck here in the town... but it seems I made all this journey for nothing." Ren said with a downcast and sad face.
Seeing Ren's downcast and sad face they wouldn't have flinched otherwise but Ren was one of the very few people who admired them, he was someone who showed them great respect, someone who saw they worthless job of gaurding the gate as heroes who fought the villains.
So they couldn't just let him be, they wanted to do something for him but they were still hesitant to do what was passing through their minds.
'SUCCESS!' Seeing their hesitant face Ren shouted a victory exclamation inside, but outside he was still keeping that sad and downcast face as he said "Well... I won't bother the precious time of my heroes any more than this so I will return to my village and think of something... anyway thanks a lot I look forward to meeting you respectful gaurds again." Then he turned around as he started walking again on the road from which he had come.
seeing his lonely back and how much he admired them they couldn't tolerate it anymore so... .
"WAIT!!!" came the familiar voices of both gaurds.
Ren stopped in his tracks without turning back, while the two gaurds thought he was really sad and hesitant to take any more of their time Ren's face had turned to a dark sinister smile.
