Chapter 7 Picking a Fight with Ruffians
When a whole table worth of seafood dishes are placed in front of her, the restaurant owner had also changed her snobbish attitude earlier and gave her back the change of sixty bucks politely.
Song Ye casually stuff the sixty bucks into her pocket and don’t pay much attention towards how sordid the restaurant owner was. What’s in her mind currently were her awe in regards to how cheap the things were. If it’s fifteen years later, the price for just one meal is raised so much that it costs ten times more than the price now.
Ignoring the envious, or perhaps shocked gazes around her, Song Ye’s chopstick began to sweep left and right, consuming her food in a fast but calm manner. That, in itself gave out a sense of elegance.
No matter in which timeline a person is in, if one were to stand out, they are bound to be the centre of the attention. Not to mention with how she just casually took out an old man and ordered dishes of seafoods to eat it by herself had made her a target and was being observed by a few pair of eyes in a dark corner for quite some time.
A few ruffians just openly walked into the restaurant, spitting out vulgar words the moment they opened their mouth.
“Did you not fucking see me? Are you implying that you did not want to serve me or is it that you are not willing to come out and greet me?”
In between those words, with a pang, the ruffian kicked the chair, with someone still seated, of a nearby table away. The man that had fell onto the ground don’t even dare to speak up.
The restaurant owner had hid behind the counter and with the fear that they will cause a ruckus, she came out with a bitter face and bowed while laughingly talked to the ruffian.
“Ahh, Boss Xiao Dao, I was busy at the back earlier so I did not notice you soon enough, so don’t get mad. And, you see, I had handed the protective fee to you a few days ago, so why are you…”
Without saying the words behind, everyone knew what she meant.
In this age where it is chaotic, there are some ruffians that ganged up in these small towns and villages to collect protection fee. Unable to get the reaction that they had expected, the few men in front of her had an awkward look on their face and Xiao Dao smiled menacingly.
“That’s quite the courage you have there, little miss. Come and play with me later.”
After saying that, he even gave Song Ye what he thought to be a cool whistle. Following that, the other ruffians had even laughed in a suggestive manner.
At this moment, all the young girls in the restaurant had walked out of the restaurant one by one as they were afraid that they might be the next target if they were one step too late.
But Song Ye just ate her meal slowly and calmly, without even changing her expression, as if disconnected from the surroundings.
“Boss, is this girl deaf?”
This time, the ruffians around became puzzled. This is the first time they were completely ignored while threatening someone.

After paying her back for his embarrasment, Xiao Dao snorted and followed her footstep.
When they were outside earlier, they saw with their own eyes that this girl who don’t look much like an adult had just casually took out a hundred bucks. In this age where workers that are working in the factory were only paid a few hundred, her action of showing her wealth had immediatly caught their attention. After observing for 10 minutes and made sure she had no other companions, they then walk up to her.
After the bunch of ruffians had left, the restaurant owner patted her chest to calm herself down. But when she thought about the young girl that was surrounded buy the ruffians, she let out a long sigh.
Sigh, the poor girl sure is misfortunate.
At this moment, the Song Ye that obediently followed the ruffians to be robbed had entered a residential house deep in the alley. After stepping into the small and narrow door, with a squeek, the door was shut.
Song Ye observed the simple residential house that had only a room and a common area under the dim light and surprisingly found a bloodied man that had fainted in the corner.
“Haha, how is it. Satisfied with our territory?”
This is the first time Xiao Dao had seen such a weird girl. Thinking that the surrounding is silent, he looked at Song Ye’s body shape, eyes filled with lust.
“Hand us all the money that you had now, and then, let us search through your body in case there’s any that were left out.”
Search? Song Ye never thought that these youths aged between seventeen to eighteen will have their thoughts strayed to that point. Remembering how she was disturbed when she was enjoying her meal, she casually took out the sixty bucks from her pocket and plainly said,

Maybe they were stunned by her cold tone, the men stood there not moving while staring at the sixty bucks.

After finishing his sentence, he dashed towards the money. When his hands were in midair, his wrist were caught by a small hand. The hand were so cold he felt his scalp went numb.
During the moment he blanked out, the young girl in front of him twisted his wrist and the sound of breaking bones can be heard. Like a toy, Xiao Dao’s arm was twisted into an ominous shape.

At that moment, a scream can be heard throughout the house, it was so loud that the scream can be heard all around the house.
