In the street, there were multiple carts slowly making their way to the arena. There were three in total, both looking different than the last. Each of the carts had different colors on them.
Zuhn could sense some powerful auras coming from each of the carts that went by. A lot of the people around the arena started to grow excited.
"Look! It's the three Sect Leaders!" Once everyone heard this, they all rushed to the sides of the streets. They were all hoping that they were going to be able to see the three powerful leaders.
Zuhn stood by, looking back down at the rules. He was also looking around at the other people that were competing in the event.
After the carts made it inside the arena, the streets started to clear up again. Several more bells rang, indicating that the event was about to start.
The fighters in the competition were seated next to the middle of the arena. The two fighters set to compete would be called up from this area. Around twenty minutes after everyone was in their seats did the competition truly start.
"First Fight, Zaho Xeno vs. Lie Veng." Zuhn looked around the seats until he found two people getting up. They both looked fairly fit, but their auras weren't too strong.
Zuhn and the rest of the people could see the fights that were going to take place. Down below them, the two teens faced off against each other. At first, the two teens didn't react to each other.
*Ding*
The bell rang and the fight started. The two men both rushed at each other. People around Zuhn were talking about the two teens.
"I heard that Zaho Xeno is the number one genius in his town."
"What? Is he that powerful."
Zuhn sat there stunned A genius? The teen was far from it. The teen in front of him had a very weak aura.
Sure enough, the teens in front of Zuhn didn't look like they were super strong. They were each fighting pretty well, though they weren't super good. Meaning, they couldn't really hurt Zuhn.
The teens were both holding swords, Zuhn didn't know much about longswords. Though, he knew quite a bit about his knife. He knew that they both at similar styles to them.
Zuhn stared at the two fighting, picking out the flaws of each of their moves.
"Wow! These two are amazing… They started out with the strongest first." Other teens around Zuhn were super surprised. This made Zuhn super confused.
_This is good for them?_
Suddenly Zaho Xeno's sword slashed Lie's chest. Lie fell to the ground before Zaho could slash again someone appeared in front of him. It was a rather older man.
The older man blocked Zaho's sword with his hand.
_Damn, That guy is strong._
Zuhn tried to figure out the man's strength. But when he looked over at the man, the man's aura was very weak.
_Must be hiding his aura._
Zuhn was doing the same, if he showed his aura he felt like he would stand out from the rest.
The older man moved to Lie out of the arena. "Zaho Xeno wins the first match!"
Four hours later, countless battles went by. Each one of them more boring than the last. Zuhn knew that he was only the beginning, the competition picking out the better people.
Finally, Zuhn heard his name… "Zuhn Sheng vs. Lin Mu"
Zuhn got up and stretched a little bit while he was walking towards the arena. Around him, he could hear multiple people cheering, "Go Lin Mu, Go Lin Mu, Go Lin Mu"
_Must be someone pretty strong..._
When both Zuhn and Lin got to the middle of the arena, Zuhn looked at Lin. Lin was on the shorter side, but he was wearing full armor. Lin was wielding a longsword that had a shine to it.
*Ding*
The battle started, Zuhn didn't move at first. He was waiting to see what Lin would do.
"Give up or I will kill you." The small teen in front of Zuhn was smiling at him when he said those words.
Zuhn looked confused, he pointed to himself, "Your talking to me?"
The teen's expression changed to anger, "Yes! I'm fucking talking to you! Your gonna die now!"
The teen ran at full speed at Zuhn, Zuhn quickly dodged the strike. The teen flew past Zuhn, before turning back around for another strike. Once again Zuhn dodged the strike.
_His speed isn't too bad, but his strikes are like he's a beginner._
Zuhn was dodging the teen's attack while he was trying to figure out if his opponent was strong. When Zuhn found out that his opponent wasn't strong he took one slash at Lin.
Instantly, Lin hit the ground. Lin was just knocked out, Zuhn didn't really have any other way to deal with the teen. He couldn't kill him, because it was against the rules.
Zuhn frowned when he was looking at Lin. Several seconds after Zuhn knocked out Lin, the same older man from before came down to the middle of the arena.
The man looked at Zuhn, moving his eyes all around. Zuhn was concealing his aura, so he knew the man in front of him wasn't going to be able to sense him.
The man shook his head before holding onto Lin and taking him out of the arena.
"Zuhn Sheng Wins!"
No one cheered when he won, everyone was shocked. Zuhn just took down the number one teen in the region. The teen was already an outer sect member for Dark Stars.
The Sect leaders all looked down at Zuhn, some were unfazed. While the Dark Stars Sect leader was pissed. The sect leader threw down his wine and walked away from the arena.
Zuhn was moved to another part of the arena. Inside was all of the winners from the previous fights before. There were only about two hundred people. Though, it was a big change from the beginning of the event.
The same teen that he saw sitting in the corner at the start of the event was in the room. The teen was meditating, but when Zuhn walked in he opened his eyes.
Zuhn decided to walk over to the teen because he was the only one with real power in the room.
"Hello!" Zuhn nodded to the teen. The teen nodded back but didn't say anything.
"How was your match?" Zuhn tried to talk to the teen. The teen just kept staring at Zuhn.
"Why are you hiding your strength?" The teen finally spoke.
Zuhn was slightly shocked by the teen's words. He thought about it for a little bit, before he slightly released some of his aura. When the teen in front of him saw this he was shocked. He opened his mouth before getting up and bowing to Zuhn.
"Mister, I'm sorry. I didn't know you reached the Silver Rank!"
Zuhn looked down at the kid, Zuhn just now only released 1/10th of his fully concealed aura.
