"Careful," she said to the doctor who lifted his leg. At this moment she wished to hug him tight and absorb all his pain. It would have been awesome if one could take in the other pain. She can only accompany him, wait for him to heal and maybe keep her mood swings in check. The most awesome man on earth didn't deserve a speck of her blues.

"You look more in pain than me." He smiled and said to Ira. Her anxious face made him forget his pain and hug to coax her. "I'm alright."

After the painful session, they took Vivan for some tests on a wheelchair. Ira went to get all the procedures done.

After all investigation, Vivan came to find a ward full of people. His relatives had came to visit him. Then came his mother, Tara Shah, his father-in-law. Since her house was far she stayed the night at Rai's mansion. When Tej came to know of their discharge, he insisted to bring them to his mansion.
Vivan agreed because he didn't want to burden a pregnant Ira. Though he could keep a full time nurse and physiotherapist, Ira won't tolerate a stranger's presence 24*7. Even at their place, a few servants came to cook and clean at a fixed time.

This was the best option. Ira needed care too.

Tej went to check on Ira and help her with the procedures leaving Vivan with three women.

Tara poured a glass of water for Vivan and supported him to get on a wheelchair.

In the corridor, a middle-aged woman said, "That girl doesn't have a bit sense of responsibility. Selfish rude and arrogant from the start. Now look where is she?"

"How do you know that? maybe she got busy." asked another lady.

"My Rezia studied in the same university. Such a rude girl. I told Vivan to think twice before marrying her. But no,... now see the result." the woman said pointing at her daughter. A 25-year-old girl dressed in luxury was impatient to nod and agree,
"Oh..." That was the voice of disgust.

"But it's not the same now, she got pregnant And Tara herself told me she changed." Some people disagreed.

"You can change habits but can't change someone's basic nature." The old woman sarcastically said.

"As you said, does Ira, not like Vivan at all?"
"No wonder I never seen them attend any family function together."
"Don't you remember the day of their engagement and marriage?"
"Vivan is really pitiful."

Tara came out to this scene. "Aunty, why don't you say anything. Why move to the girl's house?" said the girl.
This girl she had once considered as a daughter-in-law. But when she saw her true nature she was thankful she didn't continue this subject.

"Can't you see, Ira is just keeping your kid away from you. Didn't he stop visiting you? Now, they could have come to your home, but no they moved to his father-in-law's house."

"Why do you still endure this time? The girl doesn't like or respect you."

Tara casually pulled up her sleeves, "My daughter likes me or not, respects me or not. What is it to you? This doesn't matter but whoever insults her that too in front of me don't blame me of being rude," her statement made the lively corridor quiet. Tara's voice was cold and dominating enough to send a chill down everyone's spine.

Sudden footstep fell on their ear, they looked to the side to see Ira standing right at the corner. She should have clearly heard their voice at that distance.

"Leave." Tara's smile was ugly than her frown. One who was calm and gentle at most time, her intense hostile response made them uncomfortable and the ladies left.
