"Ira, your Mom said your knife skills have improved legendarily. Show me. Cut me an apple rabbit." Dad who tries to beg a piece was willing to butter her.
"I will cut you a piece." She smiled.
Ira sliced a very small piece of the size of a grain.
"Ira, Don't play!" Dad gave an angry snort.
"That's a newborn ant, I made with my legendary knife skills."
"Son in law!" he said complained tone. Which was totally ignored.
"One apple bite should be okay! Uncle, I bought some porridge." came a sweet as sugar heart-melting voice.
"At last someone who genuinely cares for this old man." Said, Dad.
Taking the thermos from her hand and opening it to relish the smell.
Looking at the girl who was in front of her eyes, Ira's eyes couldn't help but float a trace of impatience. The kind of adoring eyes were too familiar to her,
A girl with a young face wore a pink plain neat skirt and looked at her dad with concern.
This is Vani, Daughter of their former servant, Mrs Wang.
