Goku ran over and overturned broken pieces of stones and bricks. After a while, he came back with his staff tied to his back.
"I found my staff!" Goku said happily.
"We've decided to go back to the city together. Wanna come with us? You're cute so you'll be popular with the girls." Bulma invited Goku. Yamcha finally got rid of his fear of women and decided to look for some girls in the city. Oolong naturally wanted to go to the city and peep at the girls.
"No, it's alright. Turtle Hermit old man invited me to train under him. I want to train more and get stronger, I'm going to ask grandpa first." Goku said with a smile.
"Alright, Goku, it's a good idea for you to train under that old man since he should be able to teach you a lot," Tarro said.
"I hope that perverted old man doesn't teach you perverted things," Bulma said.
"Once one year is up, let's go look for the dragon balls again!" Goku said.
"We don't really have any use for them anymore. But Goku since you borrowed your grandpa's ball, you should try to find it again in one year. After training under Turtle Hermit for 1 year you should be strong enough to find them yourself." Tarro said and was glad Goku agreed, this way he was sure Goku would meet the Red Ribbon Army.
Bulma handed Goku the dragon radar and taught him how to use it. They bid goodbye, Goku rode home on his cloud while Yamcha took out a plane capsule.

Tarro spent a few days at Bulma's house, Yamcha, Puar and Oolong were also invited to live with them since Bulma's family was the richest in the world, their house was as big as a district. Of course, none of Bulma's family members had any idea of the fact they were the richest on Earth.
When Tarro went to visit Bulma's family, Bulma was surprised that he already knew her parents and elder sister.

"Tarro, you're so handsome. How come you never visited Onee-san for 10 years? Onee-san was really worried about you." Tights complained.

Yamcha was pretty popular with the girls and always brought a group of girls to Bulma's home, some of them even from Bulma's school. What annoyed Bulma was that her mother always seemed to flirt with Tarro and Yamcha, Bulma felt very embarrassed and always chased away her mother.
"Hey, Bulma, I'm gonna go train for a while," Tarro said.
"Huh, you're leaving already, but I got school in October," Bulma said disappointedly since it was just a few days away from October.
"I promise to visit you from time to time but I need to check on Goku as well," Tarro said.

"Yep, I'm planning on winning again, like I said," Tarro replied and a few bystanders recognized him as they shouted out his name, as the last WMA's champion, upon seeing him.
"Y-y-your Tarro the winner of the last WMA! Wait are you Goku's brother?" Krillin asked looking surprised.
"No, but we're basically family, who are you kid?" He said feigning ignorance.
"Hmm, this youngster is Krillin, he has been training under me like Goku has," Roshi said.
He then said, "Oh, I almost forgot, it'll be difficult to fight in those suits so..." and gave them his Turtle Gi.
"Woah, neat," Goku said after putting it on. Then he and Krillin both said, "We'll do our best, Master."

After getting their numbers Tarro left the boys since he was in a different set to them. Everyone in the preliminaries recognized Tarro as the last WMA's champion and took him seriously even though he was young. Like last WMA, the participants were divided among 4 blocks. Some of Tarro's opponent decided to forfeit before the fight, they weren't confident at all and he swept past the preliminaries with ease. The matches played out exactly the same as in the original with both Goku and Krillin getting into the finals, with Tarro easily winning all of his matches as well.
"Hmm, hey Bulma," Tarro said walking over to the gang after finishing his last match.
"Tarro!" Everyone said.
"So did you get into the finals?" Bulma asked.
"Of course I did," Tarro answered while Bulma hugged him.
Then Goku and Krillin ran over and said, "We got into the finals as well!"
"Long time no see!" Oolong and Puar said and Bulma asked, "Who's your friend?"
"This is my training buddy Krillin," Goku said and Krillin timidly said hello.
"Well done on getting to the finals boys," Roshi said.
"Thanks, oh yeah, we met Yamcha, he got into the finals as well. I almost didn't recognise him with his new hair!" Goku said.
"THE WORLD MARTIAL ARTS TOURNAMENT WILL COMMENCE MOMENTARILY! WILL THE EIGHT FINALISTS PLEASE ASSEMBLE IN THE MAIN HALL!" Got blared over the speakers.
"Oh, we need to go now guys, so bye," Tarro said and kissed Bulma goodbye.
"See you later!" Goku said and he, Krillin and Tarro climbed the wall while the rest of the of the gang said, "Good luck!"
