What should I take for the next skill? Since a new magic system came out, I decided to take the Earth magic. Claire gains a new bow related skill. From the name is a skill that shoots arrows rapidly. That should be useful when facing more than one enemies.
Next I decided to immediately test the Earth magic that I just got. At first, I got a bit impatient as it’s been awhile since I get to choose a new magic but it doesn’t really works. I’ll try to use it again after changing the location, as there is some limitation with what I can do if it’s not a place with exposed soil.
The magic is the same as the others, with similar pattern. First is the magic that raise a wall of earth at a place. Next is a magic that change the ground into a marsh. The third is a magic that digs up the ground. It’s also possible to change the strength of the earth wall, to make it stronger than normal wood, but weaker than iron.
Diabell who decided to join us is a Spirit magic user. Spirit magic is not a magic that is used for direct attack, but a magic that borrows the power of the spirits drifting all over the world to interfere with the surroundings.
For example, she can call the spirit of light called the Will o’ Wisp to float as a light instead of the lantern in the dungeon, and if she’s outside she can call the spirit of the wind to cut the enemies in pieces, borrowing the power of the spirit of flame to make a fire, as well as creating various other phenomena.
However there’s limitation to borrowing the power of the spirits, as you can borrow the power of the water spirit in a place without water, as well as unable to borrow the power of the flame spirit in a place without fire. Therefor in a dungeon, its power is considerably limited.
