'Knock knock' I felt a wave of relief when I heard the knock. The door opened, I see a familiar face. "Good evening. I'm here to pick up my wife." Troy said with a cold tone. "Troy." I said with relief. Troy saw me standing behind the wall with Adrian in front of me. His eyes burned with rage and stomped towards us. "What do you think you are doing to my wife." Troy said seething his anger. Troy pulled me out of the corner and into his arms. Adrian looked surprised yet amused. "Mr. Versales, what a surprise for you to be here." Adrian said sarcastically. "No traffic jam can stop me from picking up my pregnant wife Mr. Montgomery." Troy replied coldly. Come to think of it I remember that there was a traffic jam, that's why Andrea and Adrian's assistant were late. "Troy, how did you get here?" I asked rather curious how he made it here with the heavy traffic. "I took my private helicopter. Fortunately the building adjacent the restaurant has a helipad." Troy said looking at me gently. Adrian chuckled. "Your husband is really a capable man Jill." "Adrian it's best to reschedule the meeting. It is getting late now." I said with conviction. "Well I can't seem to argue on that. Your husband came here just to pick you up." Adrian said with sarcasm. "Get your things and let's go home." Troy whispered in my ears. "Okay." I nodded in agreement and walked towards the table where I left my purse "Really, a knight in shining armor." Adrian said mockingly to Troy. Troy looked indifferent. He stared at Adrian with fierceness. "I won't let you get your way Adrian." He said with a harsh tone. "Oh, but I can get what I want in so many ways." Adrian replied. "I'm warning you, stay away from my wife." Troy warned. "I'm afraid I can't do that." Adrian said smiling. "She has signed a contract and her company can't afford to terminate it." Troy clenched his fists. Adrian was right, the legality of the contract is valid for two years. And by terminating it prematurely will have major consequences not to mention the monetary charges in termination. "I'm ready." I said when I approached the two men. They were glaring at each other like they were having an internal battle. "That's good. Come, let's go." Troy said. He reached for my arm and gently tugged me. "Good evening Mr. Montgomery." "Have a safe travel." Adrian smiled. I gently nodded at Adrian. Troy pulled me out of the room. It was silent in the elevator all the way down to the basement parking. "Aren't we taking the helicopter?" I asked just to break the silence. "I am sure the traffic has been dealt with now." Troy had a flat tone. 'Is he angry?' I thought to myself. When the elevators arrive at the basement parking Troy pulled me out. The car wasn't parked very far. I saw Sawyer get out of the driver's door. "Good evening sir, madam." Sawyer greeted us. He opened the rear passenger door for us. Troy ushered me in and he followed. "How is the traffic?" Troy asked. He still has a cold tone even towards Sawyer. "The accident on the way has been resolved and the traffic is light now." Sawyer answered while turning in the car engine. "That's good. Drive us home Sawyer." Troy commanded. "Certainly sir." Sawyer said and drove off. The car ride was silent all the way. Troy was looking out of the window all the time and not even glancing my way. I can feel that he was angry. Maybe because I left my guard down with Adrian.
