I open my eyes and see the rays of sunlight shining from the window. I sleepily rub my eyes and adjust my sight. Then I sit up immediately. "What time is it?" I asked myself. I can't believe I slept in. "Good morning love." Troy walked inside the room. He was wearing his casual clothes. Light gray t-shirt and white khaki shorts. "You didn't go to work?" I asked. Troy just smiled. "Have you forgotten that I told you we're going to get a day off today." Then the happenings the night before flashed in my memory. The surprise baby shower, the guests that greeted us, the scene made by Angeline and the love making Troy and I did in the bath tub. I flushed thinking that we did 'that' in the bath tub. "Remember?" Troy asked teasingly. I nodded shyly. Yes, I remember Troy telling me that he told Andrea I will take a day off today. "But Troy, I really have so much work to do at the office." I said guiltily. I also want to sit back and relax. But thinking of the work I will leave to Andrea and James makes me guilty. "Andrea and James have already agreed to get the work done for today. So don't worry." Troy smiled. He sat down besides me on the bed. "But I feel bad always giving them the work that I should do." I said guiltily. "Don't worry love. They also want you to have some rest." Troy kissed me on top of my head. "And besides, aren't you excited to buy the things for the nursery today." My eyes widen with excitement. "We're going shopping today?" I asked eagerly. Troy nodded. "I promised, didn't I." He smiled. I stood up right away. "Then I'm going to prepare." "Whoa, hold your horses." Troy pulled me suddenly. "Ahhh." I yelped in surprise. Troy caught me in his arms. We looked at each other and started giggling. "Let's go eat breakfast first. I'm sure this two munchkins are hungry as well." Troy said while rubbing my baby bump. I felt the babies kick, like they were agreeing with their father. "Hahaha, look. They are telling that I'm correct." Troy laughed. Looking at him happy made me smile. It was like a huge weight was lifted on his shoulders. These past few months, he always looked stressed. But now he was smiling brightly. "Okay, I yield." I giggle and put my hands up in defeat. "The twins are still inside me and they are starting to take your side." I pouted my lips jokingly. "Hahaha, don't worry love. You are still our queen. What you want we will surely follow." Troy bowed. "Haha, okay. Has nanny Sally prepared breakfast already?" I asked. "Yes. I'm just waiting for you to wake up so we can eat together." Troy said. "Then come on, the twins are hungry and so is their mother." I giggled. "Right away ma'am." Troy smiled. *** After eating breakfast we went up stairs and in the room we have chosen to make a nursery. "I have already called the carpenter that will work on the nursery." Troy said. "We just need to think of the colors and decorations we want." "Now that we know their genders, colors won't be a problem." I said and smiled. "Pink and blue will be perfect." "That was what I thought too." Troy smiled. I look at the room and it was spacious. Having two cribs in here won't be a problem. "This side will be baby boy's and this side will be baby girl's." I said while gesturing to the directions. "I am thinking of placing a huge couch here and a lazy boy over there." I said. "I am sure I will be here most of the time when the twins are born." "Let's get them both their own closets. I'm thinking one pink and one blue. We will place it here." Troy said. "That seems good." I agreed. "I am sure to make them many clothes and dress them up nicely." "Haha, that was what I expected." Troy laughed. "You know me well." I smiled at him. "We will be needing a baby monitor." Troy said. "Much better, I will install a CCTV camera here with a live feed, which we can access thru our cellphones." "Oh, has your company made some new inventions?" I asked. "Yes." Troy said. "We can also have a live speaker in our bedrooms so we can know right away if they cry at night." "You're right. I am expecting sleepless nights when they come." I cringed with the thought. I have read many pregnancy forums. And majority of the parents there told of their sleepless nights when their baby arrived. "Don't worry love. I am also here to help." Troy smiled at me gently.
