My father was beside the hospital bed as I was sleeping. He was looking at me with love and affection. He was the only one in the room.
"Oh my baby girl. I'm so sorry I wasn't there when you needed me." my father said.
"I thought that keeping my distance from you was for the best to protect you from trouble. Now I see that it wasn't the right choice to do." he said.
There was a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" my father asked.
"It's me sir." the voice of James, my father's assistant was heard.
"Come in." my father said.
James opened the door and entered.
"Lock the door." my father said.
James nodded. He closed and locked the door.
"Have you done what I told you to do?" my father asked.
"Yes sir. All has been prepared." James answered.
"That's good." my father said.
It became silent for a while.
"I have always thought that keeping my distance from her was the right thing to do. But still something bad happened to her." my father broke the silence.
James was surprised. "Sir you never knew that something like that will happen to her 8 years ago."
"I never knew that something will happen to my wife also." my father said. "I had my doubts James. I have always had this gut feeling that Victoria had something to do with Roselyn's death. That is why I have kept her close to me all this time and married her. I just thought she did it out of love and jealousy for Roselyn. That was why I kept my distance from Jill all those years to protect her against that jealousy. But I guess I was wrong and that was my biggest mistake." my father clenched his fists hard.
"We have tried to find evidence sir. But there was none." Jame said. "Either Victoria is very clever at covering her path or there is someone helping her in the shadows."
My father's face was serious. If there was someone helping Victoria in the shadows then that person has some kind of power for him not to find even a trace. When he was a young lawyer he had won many difficult cases against big people and that harbored many enemies. If so who is the one helping Victoria?
"Sir will you commence with your plan?" James asked.
"Not yet." my father said. "Let's wait and see what will happen for now. I want to see what will be their next move."
"How will you protect Ms. Jill for now? She will be there target for sure." James asked.
"I will protect her with everything in my power. I won't let them harm her again." my father said.

"This can't be happening?!" Victoria was shocked to see the news. Queenie really is Jillian all along.
"Mother what are we going to do?" Julia asked hysterically. "That bitch won't just steal Shawn away from me but also the company is in jeopardy of slipping away from us."
"I can't believe she's still alive." Victoria said. "What are the odds that she survived that kind of fall?"
"Mother I won't let her take everything away!" Julia was shouting. Tears are smeared all over her face.
"Don't worry my daughter. We will do something." Victoria said. "She has amnesia, she doesn't remember anything. This is an advantage for us. We can get close to her again. Then we can once again ruin her."
"Yes that's right mother. We can ruin her again." Julia said while wiping her tears away.
"Julia get near her again and gain her trust. After that let's plan what to do next." Victoria said.
"Okay mother. I will do what you say." Julia said.
"Don't worry. If anything happens there is still someone we can go to for help." Victoria said smirking. "I won't let my years long plan go to waste. The company is ours and it should stay that way."
