"Why that would be the same reason as you madam Nadia." Reply the old lion with his own smile with his fangs showing.
"Ara, really? But if I am correct it should be the physical instructor Mr.Lambert who helps oversee this test and not the esteemed alchemist Mr.Leo."
"Ho ho ho that would be because I kindly offered to replace Mr.Lambert so he can teach his classes but it is unexpected that madam will also be overseeing this test, it is quite an honor to have you."

I don't know what exactly is happening but with all the Sparks between them I guess I should leave them alone.
"Forget about the clowns and look at me" Emilia stern voice resound and brought an end to my idle thoughts.

Now on with the explanation, the test is split into three parts first is your physical growth. Basically we'll test how much you've train your body until now then the second test this one will be the awaited magic test, your casting speed, magic variety and quality is what is considered. 'damnit this test isn't fair, Who turned up the difficulty to legendary!' I complained in my head as I struggle to get back on my feet. But as we reached the third test Nadia and the old lion bickering broke into a fight, then Emilia suggest that all three of them should fight to decide who would choose the one to be my opponent and at that moment both stopped with pale face and tried to say something to object but before they could they are already laid out of shape on the ground.
I wanna say I pity them but I can't, not when I'm the next victim. After she's done with them Emilia showed what seemed like a very very very gentle and kind smile but it somehow gives you a chill that you could feel all the way to your core.
And now after who knows how many times she break me then patched me just to break me again, after how many times she told me to stand up then knock me down, after how many times I fell unconscious before she sober me up all in the name of "test". That smile, that accursed frightening smile is still plastered over her face! It is already midday but for who knows why I haven't fail my test, I wish it fail now and just let this nightmare ends.
As I finally got to my feet I clench my fist before charging at her again as I already lost my sword and as expected she caught my punch then slam me on the ground but unexpectedly she said "enough, that's it for today's test." relief filled me as I heard that and I let exhaustion take my consciousness.

"so Emi, did you had a lot of fun?" Nadia asked laying still on the ground.
"yep I did, I haven't had anything to vent my stress in quite a while." Emilia with her smile still present bend down and start healing the kid. "as I am in a good mood and it's thanks to you, count this as my treat boy I'll even heal this "gift" left by that pampered child."
"ho ho ho to be hurt and treated by Lady Emilia personally, what a lucky child." Leo add in, hearing his disgusting voice sour my mood.
"so what are we planning to do, we all know the results from his test just now." after I said that the air turned a bit colder as everyone turn serious. "his physical abilities sucks, he can only do basic magic and it's not even complete and his mind were ready to cave in just from facing a bit of ordeal, no matter what you have in mind for him we can't say he passed when he failed everything."
"I know that without you telling me Nadia, but you know me already and I have no contingency plan whatsoever." Emilia said shrugging her shoulders.
"I have a suggestion, aren't I retiring in 5 days why don't you let the boy come with me? I am fairly interested in him myself." Leo suggestion does give us one way but "Ara I never expected you to swing that way and to a child nonetheless." I can't help but mock him.
"Nadia enough, Leo I'll take you up on that offer please take care of him." Emilia then pulled a small bag from her item ring and tossed the bag to Leo. "once it's time for you to depart, hand that to the boy he'll need it."

with that Everyone left the training ground and as usual the damages were left for the maintenance crew who are cursing the unknown person that keep damaging their precious workplace.
