Chapter 12 Katrina
Katrina Riven, aged twenty-four. Her height was one hundred and eighty-two centimeters and she weighed eighty kilograms. She had black hair, purple eyes and D-cup breasts. Due to her height, her legs appeared sturdy and powerful.
However, her legs were unusual. She triggered a landmine during a war and her legs were amputated. In order to get back to the front line, she put her life at risk to undergo a dangerous bionic limb implantation. As a result, she got herself a pair of strong and powerful legs by biotechnology.
The bones in her legs were made by reinforced titanium - a light, yet strong and extremely tough metal. The muscles in her legs were made by carbon fibre and powered by biofuel.
The artificial skin allowed Katrina’s legs to look and feel like a normal leg. In fact, the strength of her legs was triple the normal person’s. She only needed five seconds to sprint a hundred meters.
As Katrina was fast and quick to react. She became a scout and one of the top dogs in David Lawrence’s elite team. Any sprint or assault would be carried out by her. With her extraordinary speed, she could run from one end to another in the blink of an eye. It was difficult to catch her.
Normally, people avoid using their legs as much as possible; however, Katrina was different. When the cataclysm happened in the movie, her kicks were her classic move. Her kicks thus always resulted in a one-hit K.O.. As she was quick and powerful, it was vexing for others because they would not be able to keep track of her moves.
Katrina’s legs were not her strongest trait. This ferocious lady was born in a military family. Her father was a member of the Special Boat Service (SBS) and her mother was a warfront journalist in Spain. Therefore, she was trained to be a soldier ever since she was a little girl.
After the extremely harsh, cruel, and dangerous training from her father, she joined the British Army. However, she ran away three months later as she found office work too boring for her. Therefore, the British military court declared her guilty, without hesitation. Her arrest warrant is still valid even up till now.
After she ran away from the British, this ferocious lady followed her father. They joined a group of mercenaries and started traveling to the war areas around the world. It was during a war when she saw David Lawrence. It was love at first sight and she followed David to New York.
That’s right; Katrina Riven was obsessed with David Lawrence. She would do anything for him. She insisted on following him even though David was married. Such infatuation would make others extremely jealous.
However, David Lawrence always kept his distance from Katrina Riven. He even moved away several times in the effort of distancing himself from Katrina. And yet, it did not work. No matter where David Lawrence moved to, Katrina would be there within a fortnight.
According to the premise of the movie, Rachel Conner hated her rival in love. She never talked to Katrina and she was always rude to her. However, Angie was very interested in her father’s infatuated admirer. Their relationship was not too bad.
Katrina Riven had an extreme personality. She was the kind of person who knew precisely who or what to love or hate. In fact, she was very good-looking, but she never tried to make herself pretty. She had black, shiny, and straight hair. However, she always tied it up and rarely showed it.
Katrina Riven lived at Brooklyn Street, New York. The money she earned from the mercenaries was all used for the implantation of her limbs. Therefore, she faced constraints in her New York life. When she really needed money, she would go out at midnight. The next day, the police would find the corpses of a few gangsters, who were all robbed, in a dustbin or at some corner of a street.
That’s right, this ferocious lady was extremely audacious. She liked to steal from thieves!
In the movie, Zhou Qingfeng was stunned by the scene where Katrina appeared - a fully-armed and cool female soldier rushing into a house that was guarded by the gangsters.
The gangster sentry thought that he could handle her when he saw that she was still more than a hundred meters away. Nevertheless, in the blink of an eye, the sentry was kicked by Katrina and he spat blood. She then rushed into the house and ran speedily, firing her rifle the entire time. Several gangsters in the house were dead within ten seconds.
When she was on the team, Katrina was unfriendly to everyone, except for David. She never had a good relationship with the rest. When communicating with her, you would either listen or just ignore her.
After convincing Leina to return to her hometown, David Lawrence sent Zhou Qingfeng to Katrina’s place. His heart nearly fell apart at the thought of staying with this ferocious lady. Who knows what this chick would do?
When Katrina saw David Lawrence standing at her door at around three o’clock in the morning, her happiness could not be expressed by words. She was wearing a green army T-shirt and a pair of trousers. By looking at the extent of her swaying clothes and the two bulging bumps on her chest, you could tell that she was not wearing a bra.
“David, Hahahaha…. I just dreamt about you and now, you’re here! Are you here to ask me out?” That was how a love-struck fool saw her love. Her words and facial expression were out of this world.
David Lawrence smiled awkwardly as he decided to solve the problem as soon as possible. He pushed Zhou Qingfeng forward and said, “Katrina, is it alright if my friend stays with you for a period of time?”
Katrina’s face changed immediately when she saw Zhou Qingfeng. She did not even try to hide her feeling of disappointment as she said coldly, “David, you know that I wouldn’t reject any of your requests. This kid can stay here for as long as you want him to.”
“I’m sorry for the trouble, but thank you. So…. good night. I’ll come pick him up some other day,” he said. David could not handle her, and it was probably due to her eyes that were filled with resentment. He did not even introduce Zhao Qingfeng properly and left after a few words.
Katrina heaved a long sigh as she watched David leave her place. She then waved at Zhao Qingfeng and said coldly, “Come in!”
Out of respect, Zhou Qingfeng decided to introduce himself, “Hello, Miss Riven. My name is….”
However, she did not wait for Zhao Qingfeng to finish his words. With a wave, she said, “You don’t have to tell me who you are. I’m not interested in knowing your name. I’ll help you with food, accommodation, and general safety. Apart from that, don’t bother me.”
Damn! I knew she was going to be difficult to handle. She doesn’t even care about me.
Katrina led Zhou Qingfeng to a small room. She turned on the light, pointed to the bed, and said, “You are only allowed to be in this room and the living room. Don’t go to the other places without my permission. Breakfast will be provided at six o’clock and tardiness will not be tolerated. Alright, get into bed and don’t make any noise.”
