Chapter 140 Fall Back
As one of the three machine guns was down, Zhou Qingfeng and Butcher immediately noticed the difference. Both of them shouted at Mox with their wireless radios. After a few moments, they heard from the driver of the armored vehicle where Mox was located, “Mr. Mox was shot.”
“Shot? Where did he get shot? Is he dead?” Butcher was very close to Mox. His tone showed worry and he was in a state of disbelief.
The driver of the vehicle panicked, “He got shot in the neck. He’s holding the cut with his hand and trying to cover it. It’s bleeding non-stop. He can’t talk and the situation does not look good.”
Zhou Qingfeng immediately shouted into the wireless radio, “Butcher, fall back with Mox right now. Help Mox deal with his injury. I’ll stay here.”
As soon as Zhou Qingfeng finished talking, another bullet hit Butcher’s machine gun tower. The bullet was blocked by the bulletproof steel plate and it made a huge sound. The hot-tempered Butcher was shocked and shouted, “It’s a sniper! He’s shooting at us from the top of some building across the town hall.”
“Leave now.” Once Zhou Qingfeng heard that there was a sniper, he instantly turned the vehicle in the direction where the bullet came from. He was observing through the bulletproof glass window. He only took a few glances again; he was targeted too. The bullet hit the bulletproof steel plate.
“He’s on St. Paul Church!” Zhou Qingfeng roughly aimed in that direction and started to fire. He clearly saw a flare flash on top of the church. The sniper was trying to shoot them through the uncovered top of the machine gun tower.
Butcher and Mox fell back. Once Butcher heard Zhou Qingfeng, he immediately aimed at the top of St. Paul church. However, his M249 was without a scope, it would be extremely difficult to see an enemy that was two to three hundred meters away.
“Victor, get that b*stard. I’m gonna take a look at Mox,” Butcher was worried about his mate and he withdrew.
Zhou Qingfeng only roughly knew the location of the sniper. He could not see him. After searching for a while, he stopped shooting randomly. He turned to DogMeat and commanded, “Stupid dog, go to St. Paul church. That sniper might be running away. It’s the third time he’s attacked us. He’s not going to escape today.”

The other members of Zetas were similar to Nieto. No matter how daring or fearless they were before, they were either crying, astonished, or burying the heads in their arms. They were praying incessantly and at the same time, they thanked God that they were not in the square.
A few moments later, the sound of a gunshot could be heard all of sudden. Nieto was freaked out by the gunshot and screamed. The other members of Zetas around him went out of control. As they calmed down a little, one of the three armored vehicles stopped.
“What are you guys afraid of?” Koval said coldly. He pulled the bolt and an empty shell came out. As he reloaded and was ready to go for another shot, everyone at the top of St. Paul Church looked at him with admiration and respect.
“Mr. Koval, did you shoot that guy with the machine gun?”
“Damn, Mr. Koval. Quick, kill the other two.”
“Thank God there’s Mr. Koval, we’re still able to deal with the police.”
“They’re not the police, dumbass. They’re just driving police cars. Only a calm guy like Mr. Koval could deal with them.”
Everyone was discussing and talking nonstop but Koval was delighted with the compliments. Nieto grabbed a pair of binoculars and saw that the three armored vehicles were not defeated; they just withdrew.
“Most of the people on stage were killed. Zetas is gone.” Nieto sighed in his mind. Meanwhile, he saw Los Zetas and Guzman lying among the corpses. No, no…., these two men are still alive. They’re getting up from the corpses.
Through the binoculars, Nieto saw that Los Zetas was completely fine, whereas Guzman was shot in his leg. He was jumping with one leg towards the town hall building and it looked extremely funny and embarrassing.
Damn it, it’s such a shame, Nieto thought. Even though he was under Zetas at the moment, he was extremely afraid of Guzman. He had been hoping that someone would kill that scary man to make him feel better.
Koval fired another two shots but they seemed to be ineffective. The other two armored vehicles were already aware of the sniper’s existence. Both of them hid inside the machine gun tower and they never exposed their body parts anymore.
Koval aimed for a little while and gave up since the chances were gone. He saw Zhou Qingfeng’s machine gun tower facing St. Paul church. Thus, he did not dare to simply shoot. It would be such a shame to get hit by the shower of bullets.
“We’re gonna withdraw from here and leave,” Koval told Guzman via the wireless radio. However, he could only hear screams from the wireless radio.
Nieto gathered nine of the Zetas members under him. Even though he was not a powerful leader, everyone listened to him as Koval was there.
However, Nieto did not command them to leave once they were gathered. He led the team and stood in the middle of the corridor; Koval was blocked.
“What’s going on? We need to leave here as soon as possible,” Koval had his sniper on his back and he looked forwards, impatiently.
Nieto, who was in front of him, was trembling with fear. He was moving backward as he said, “There’s a dog. The one which was running on the square! It’s here, right in front of us.”
“What is there to be afraid of? Shoot it down, maybe we can eat it tonight.” Koval said with disdain. As soon as he finished talking, he realized that the wimps were moving back slowly. The crowd separated and a pathway opened up in the middle. He finally realized that things were not going right.
A normal dog would not have iron teeth, sharp blades on its feet, and weird electronic eyes. As it faced the bunch of armed people, it still remained fierce and aggressive. The dog was getting closer and closer to them and its growl sent a chill down everyone’s spine.
It was not a dog at all, it was a killing machine!
