The world was surprised as in the world’s most urgent case, a small murder suspect was stealing the spotlight.
He killed a robber and stole the equipments from two cops. Although NYPD was extremely angry about it, it was still understandable. He even involved himself in the kidnapping of Lena Fox, and successfully caused big trouble for the kidnappers!
When the world was wondering if he can live any further, he not only hopped around in joy, he even killed seven of Boss Locke’s subordinates. His ability was truly baffling.
Seven, it’s f*cking seven! All of Locke’s subordinates were experienced kidnappers. They were extremely challenging to be faced against even for the experienced cops from NYPD. However, they deflated when faced against an unknown boy. Everything that happened recently was unexplainable.
The NYPD was forced to hold a conference to show that they were still able to do something for the case. They tried to show that the case was not ‘overwhelming’ and that they were not ‘wasting’ the taxpayers’ money.
“We’ve identified the identity of Locke. His full name is George Locke. He used to serve a twelve-year sentence in the New York federal prison, and he was recently released in July this year.
“We also learned from a 911 call that Raj, Miss Fox’s bodyguard, was involved in the case as well. According to our investigation, Raj and Locke are brothers from another father. We now confirm that they’ve gathered a total of twenty-four accomplices, and used a total of five vehicles.
“We have every reason to believe that it’s the bodyguard Raj who temporarily replaced Miss Fox's bulletproof sedan and fooled her into a gathering in Brooklyn in an effort to create a great kidnapping opportunity for Locke. However…."
The spokesperson of NYPD stammered as he did not know how to proceed with the conference. The following situation was more complicated. “Uh…. According to the footages from the surveillance cameras and illustrations from the witnesses, Miss Fox was about to be kidnapped by Locke and his group of kidnappers. However, it was Victor Hugo who disguised himself as a cop and saved Miss Fox.
“They then broke into Downtown Manhattan’s hospital and, based on the testimonials from those who had escaped from the hospital, Miss Fox apparently regarded Victor Hugo as a real police officer. The fake Officer Hugo then once again became the opposing force against Locke and his group of kidnappers.
“Both parties engaged in a crossfire within the hospital. It even seems that Victor Hugo who’s on his own was dominating the fight.”
After finished running through the situation, the spokesperson of NYPD felt that the scriptwriter was fooling around with him. There was no way for the media to believe in such a muddled case.
As expected, right after the spokesperson announced the current result of their investigation, a lot of journalists raised their hands, wanting to ask questions.
A journalist from Wall Street asked, “What’s the current plan of NYPD? Will you guys simply accept the kidnappers’ request, or perhaps let the SWAT team in to force an attack?”
The spokesperson shook his head and said, “We do not plan to force an attack, as there are still approximately over five hundred hostages trapped inside the hospital. Furthermore, Locke and his group of kidnappers have installed bombs inside the hospital. Any forced attack will lead to a great amount of injuries. We’re still prioritizing a negotiation above all else as the main method to solve the case.
A journalist from New York Times then asked, “Will you guys be able to contact Victor Hugo? Have you guys ever considered collaborating with him to fight against the kidnappers?”
“We’ve just cut off the network communication between the hospital and other parties. Hence, there’s no plan to directly contact the murder suspect.” The spokesperson thought to himself, You guys must be trying to further embarrass the police, right? We must be out of our minds if we were to collaborate with a murder suspect simply to fight against another criminal.
During the conversation between the media and the spokesperson, a shocking news update spread throughout the New York. Boss Locke was driven crazy by Zhou Qingfeng. He brought seven hostages to the group of CNN journalists and killed all of them in front of the camera lens.
“Officer Hugo, you think you’re great, right? You’ve killed seven of my subordinates. In that case, I’ll kill the same amount of hostages. Look at their crying faces, they’re dead because of you.” Locke grabbed a female hostage’s face to look toward the camera lens. His fierce face can make all the people in New York undergo a tremendous nightmare.
Even when the hostages were screaming for help, Locke shot them dead one by one. The scene where the hostages cried before their death was captured by CNN and spread throughout the world.
Although CNN immediately cut off the live broadcast, the impact of this kidnapping had been irreparable. All American families who saw this scene fell into consternation and confusion. One by one, the calls quickly hit the New York City Police Department. Everyone asked the police to do something. They urged them to rescue the hostages in the hospital as soon as possible.
“But what can we do? Send people in so that they can detonate the bomb? In the end, we’ll only see the whole block as well as over hundreds of hostages vanish in front of our eyes. This will then be another 9/11 incident, and all of us will be sent to court.”
Under the tremendous pressure of the media and society, the chief officer of NYPD was going crazy too. They were not acting against the evildoers so as to prevent further harm to innocents. They cannot do anything except to surround the hospital.
At that moment, inside Katrina’s house, friends of Zhou Qingfeng were crowding in front of the television as they watched the live broadcast. Zhou Qingfeng claimed that he had killed seven of the kidnappers. Tony Parker, however, laughed at him. “Hey, my friend really knows how to brag. I think he’s actually just trembling and hiding somewhere in a corner.”
“Trembling?” Katrina sat on the side. She did not agree with him as she replied sarcastically, “If that fella’s just trembling, do you actually think that the kidnappers will retaliate by killing seven hostages?”
Tony Parker instantly went speechless. The henchman can only throw a glance at David Lawrence. However, David Lawrence remained quiet and his facial expression was especially weird.
The hero who was supposed to save the world had an extremely bad impression of Zhou Qingfeng; his impression turned from relative amiability to severe nastiness. Unless he was a psychopath, no one will like his wife to preyed upon by voyeurs.
