"Mister, truthfully this swords material cost is barely more than a normal iron sword" James smiled to the man knowing exactly what he was looking for and showing him what he wanted to see.

"Young man where did you get these swords? Where can you buy them from?" From James' first answer he was shaken slightly, and his eyes widened.

"I didn't buy them, mister; I contracted the blacksmith Tobias Franklin to make them for me after I gave him the materials. Why do you ask?"

After hearing James' answer this time his eyes opened a notch wider, and his whole belly shook, apparently he was quite riled up.

"Dad what the hell are you talking with him about, get my money back! You scum if you give me every sword you have here I will let you off with your life" Apparently it had been too much for Shayan to wait for his father to talk with the peasant boy so seeing his fathers interest in the sword he tried to get them all for free.

"You may purchase a sword for 3 Leones each if you like, does that work for you young master Shayan?" James gave Shayan a look of complete disdain then turned away from him.

Shayan had never been insulted by a peasant in his life, and it wasn't something he could take, so he grabbed one of the many swords around him and swung it straight for James' neck. Thankfully just in time to stop his son from making a mistake that he could never come back from his father moved faster than most people could see and slapped his son to the ground while taking the sword from him.

"Shayan, I didn't raise you like this! Go home, and you will wait in the main courtyard until I return, now take your friend and leave!" The squeaky-voiced boy so far had been standing to the side hoping Shayan would kill the peasant so he would have an excellent show to watch, but after seeing Shayan get slapped to the ground he became terrified of the man's strength so stayed silent and left with Shayan.

"Shayan how could your father side with that peasant boy over you? How can he approve of a peasant more than you!?" The squeaky-voiced boy asked Shayan attempting to rile him up to go for revenge in the future.

"Leave it Eamon, that boy will get his. Not even my father will be able to stop me!" Shayan parted with Eamon with a dark expression on his face muttering under his breath about those 'damn peasants'.

................

"Young man my name is Clinton Fletcher, would you care to tell me yours?" Shayan's father had a kind look on his face when looking at James with some hint of greed hidden behind his eyes.

"Certainly Mr Fletcher, my name is James Reel, may I ask if you need anything from me? I am trying to run a stall, but I truly can't continue now that your son has almost taken my life. I'm too shaken up to continue. It is a true shame as well he has cost me so much money now" James let out a long, sad sigh showing his depression about the lost funds.

Although James had been terrified when Shayan had swung for his neck knowing he couldn't dodge after he was no longer in danger he readjusted his emotions immediately.

"Nonsense I will pay you 100 Leones for the lost business, and as a sign of good faith, I wonder if you would mind accompanying me for a meal? I can have your goods transported wherever you would like of course."

"I have no fixed residence at the moment, sir, I was hoping to sell these swords today at my stall, this test was to show the strength of my swords compared to the industry standard, but it seems that is no longer possible. I could have driven the price to something wondrous if I hadn't been disturbed by your son" James let out an even longer sigh that sounded like he was on the edge of ending it all.

"Nonsense, I will buy all these swords from you to equip my guards at 4 Leones a piece for the new ones and 2 for the tested ones, they are clearly superior weapons! I will take the others as well to show guests the superiority of my guards' swords; let's say 1 Leone for each of those, shall we? As for the scrap from those swords, I will buy it at standard material costs so 3 Birr per kg of iron."

It couldn't be said that this man lacked money he had just bought everything except the scrap iron at double or more what it cost James to buy it. This was indeed a great moment for James it had earnt him around 120 Leones in profit when you add in the 100 Leones he was given by the man for lost business. In his life, Merchant Fletcher had learnt to concede a small loss to secure more substantial profits. He was a real god of wealth to the bystanders after he spent all that money.

"I apologise to all of you for my son's attitude, believe me when I say he will be punished for his actions towards you" If there was one thing Merchant Fletcher couldn't stand it was losing potential customers over what someone wears or where they lived.

He truly despised the talk of peasants from other people and saw it as a sign of weakness from them. Its true they may not all have much money, but there were millions of the so-called peasants in the kingdom if no one was willing to do business with them he was happy to sell or buy whatever they needed providing he made a profit. It was a barely tapped market, and Fletcher had always planned on squeezing it dry.
