A man sat cross legged in a lavishly furnished room. The room was embellished expensively as it depicted the influence of the man holding it. The office held a dark theme that entirely reciprocated the man's personality.
His expressionless chiselled face broke into a thoughtful frown as he stared at the file in front of him. In his long, well-defined fingers there rested a file. On the top of that file there was a picture of a girl. She had bewitching green eyes. Even if it was merely a lifeless picture, one could still feel her charm.
"Is this all?", his sonorous voice resonated in the vastness of office.
"Yes, Big Boss", Andrian said quickly. He was wrought up that his boss was not happy with his performance so he decided to continue with an explanation.
"We have done all we could. We have used our best means and I myself supervised the procedure. However I'm afraid there's nothing more to that girl background."
Arsenio was quiet for a while as he stared at her picture file with increasingly intense gaze. If that was to go on then it wouldn't take long before he would burn the whole file and turn it into ashes by his mere stare.
"You can leave"
Andrian visibly sighed in relief as he bowed to Big Boss and left happily.
Who would like to stay there under such a pressurising atmosphere around Big Boss?
As he went through the file the hundredth time, he couldn't help but feel frustrated.
Her background was so flawless. There was not a single blemish on her record. She was a perfectly normal teenager with an even more perfect middle class family.
And that perfection made him even more suspicious.
He flipped through the pages and stopped once the picture of her family surfaced.
Her father was a teacher in an average school with mediocre degree. Her mother was a simple house wife.
She went to an average school and showed good performance. This was from where he had predicted that she had interest in computers.
As Arsenio looked at the man who looked in his fifties, he grimaced.
The man shared little to none features with the girl. He had dark eyes and greying hair. The woman that was supposed to be her mother looked even more different to that little fox.
Although that woman had green eyes but her eyes had a different pattern and were much lighter than Angelize. As he scrutinizing gaze lingered over the pictures, he became even more suspicious as he pinpointed more differences.
For example her personality described through the report was much different to the one she had. It was like the two of them were two different persons or was that the result of living in street that her personality drastically changed?
How could those mediocre parents give birth to such an extraordinary daughter?
And most importantly.
And why did she had to leave her home when they were leading such a happy and peaceful life?
Through their search, they found out that it was a perfectly happy family before the sudden disappearance of their daughter.
As the questions flooded in his mind to whom he couldn't predict a satisfactory answer, his thoughts shifted to another possibility.
But that possibility was even more puzzling.
Who would go to such an extent to create such a perfect facade that even he, despite using his best means, couldn't find out any flaws in?
He wouldn't have minded his suspicion much but his men caught someone spying on her. Before they could even interrogate him, the man committed suicide eating a pill.
That was even more absurd.
A spy who was willing to sacrifice himself to conceal the secret behind her?
And how could she even manage to stay unharmed until now with such powerful men hunting her?
And it gave spur to his suspicion and as he looked through her file again and again, he started to see those dissimilarities between her and her parents and other anomalies.
