A joyful laughter rumbled earnestly in the cold expensively furnished office. In his office, there were Adam, Andrian and few other important members of supervising crew. Big Boss was sitting on the big comfy chair while his subordinates stood stiff under his imperious presence.
Everyone gaped at their Almighty Big Boss, astonished at his sudden laugh.
Only Adam was at the verge of tears.
"I don't believe it", Andrian finally stifled the stupor induced by that heartfelt laughter of that peerless man-a laugh that could simply topple the heavens.
It was the second time they ever heard that laughing in such a gaily manner. They would say that their boss rather looked good when he laughed. Instead he should laugh more. It was a lot better than that cold serious face that could freeze a volcano into a glacier and gave his subordinates a suffocating feeling.
"Are you hundred percent sure that it was her", Andrian had that incredulous look over his face.
"In the beginning I didn't believe it myself too but the hidden camera on our man recorded it all!", Adam attempted to explain with somewhat resentful look. He resembled a kitten who has been terribly wronged.
Andrian shook his head. He was in obvious denial. "I refuse to believe it unless I witness it with my own eyes"
So Adam personally showed him the tape-recording. After watching it with his own eyes, Andrian seemed to have suffered a major psychological damage. From now on he wouldn't hesitate to put a two year old toddler in suspect list for a possible murder. He wouldn't be able to trust any innocent looking thing in his lifetime.
Only Arsenio didn't need to look at the video. For he was already aware of the nature of the little fox.
"Big Boss you must do something about it! Our man has been ruthlessly killed by that cunning woman! You must avenge him", Adam wailed pitifully.
Earlier when he came to his Boss, he assumed that Big Boss would be thoroughly enraged at the news. That spy had done many things for the organization after all.
What he didn't expect was that rare rumbling laughter.
"Didn't I warn you to send proficient men. Who told you to send that inexperienced spook"
Andrian who was in inexplicable daze suddenly broke out in conversation: "Inefficient spook? He was the best of our men! He was the man who dug out the deep secrets of White Eagles for us!"
"Why do you think he failed?", Arsenio said briefly leaving his men do the thinking. Like always, he was a man of few words
Andrian surmised after a pause.
"Judging from the video, it seems to me that he underestimated little fox and let his guard down that allowed her to attack him"
That spy was actually displeased when Andrian appointed him to monitor the little girl. He held himself in high regards and no matter how he looked at it that little teenager was not worthy of his top-notch monitoring.
Arsenio lips curled up into a slight smile but it didn't reach his eyes. His dark eyes were in deep rumination. He joined the fingers of his both hands and leaned back against the chair. A contemplating frown covered his attractive features.
That little fox never failed to amaze him.
Andrian finally understood the reason behind his boss lack of revengeful aspirations.
"Its better that we got rid of him sooner before he could cause an irreversible damage. If he couldn't handle a little girl how would he stand a chance in front of our great enemies?"
A person digs his own grave the moment he underestimates his enemy. It was the basic principle taught in Big Boss organization a.k.a Never to let your guard down.
After today event Adam and Andrian would see Angelize in a whole new light. Grasping the fact that Angelize viciousness actually helped them to clean trash among them, the flames of avenging his fellow finally cooled in Adam heart. He had rather vague feelings of gratitude towards her. It was as if she saved them from a big future loss.
"Doesn't it confirm our suspect that the girl is not actually a street girl? She must belong to an organization to hold such exceptional abilities", Andrian put forth the odds after some reflecting.
"I don't think so. The martial arts taught in organizations have specific movements that are at least tangible. But she...", Arsenio said slowly while a vivid image of her sharp movements replayed in his mind, "Her movements doesn't seem to belong to any notable proficient martial art techniques."
"But our sources are reliable and her record is clean. She lived with her parents for 15 years. There is nothing extraordinary. No martial art training until she left her home for inexplicable reason. Though record of her street life is a blur, there is no way to learn that level of proficiency in any martial art in less than two years unless she is being trained since she was a 5 year old", as Andrian said he came around another possibility, "Or else her martial arts are devised by herself?"
To devise martial arts on her her with merely learning the objective of each strike. Just what kind of intellect level it required?
Apparently Arsenio trail of thinking was one step ahead of them. So he only nodded as he had already concluded it the first day he witnessed her martial art. He was highly intrigued. Otherwise why would he tell his subordinates to take her back?
He wanted to pinpoint the origin of that martial art and background of that girl.
While he might had his suspects in the beginning but she was still a teenagers and her wings had not yet fully grown. The rival politicians of that deal wouldn't possibly recruit someone like her.
But one thing was sure. The girl held a lot of secrets in her past.
"She is truly a gem! Boss we must recruit her", suddenly Andrian broke out. But just then it dawned to him.
He felt like an utter fool.
Why else did his Boss made such extraordinary arrangements for her?
If not for his intentions to winning her over, why would he shower her with favors?
And yet he had called his Boss actions rash.
His boss truly was scheming.
