Although, he knew the chance of poison is zero to none, he is used to tasting food and drink for poison that it has become a habit of his. After confirming that it is medicine and not poison, Yee Len brought the brewed medicine to His Lord's room.
Mua Kong and Yee Len spent the whole month roaming the country before making their way to visit their military bases at the north border. Mua Kong wants to check on the status of the wall structure progress and check the state of the villages and towns near the border. The farther out the villages are from the capitol, the less resources the people have. If he could see how the people live and determined what kind of resources would help improve their ways of living, he will implement a system that could help the people.
Mua Kong and Yee Len spent a month at the north border and then followed the border down to the south military base.
The master and subordinate spent another month in the south base planning strategies for territory expansion.
The Northern Country is getting stronger too, so it is best to conquer when its strength is not fully restored but the Southern Country had provoked them first by attempting to assassinate Mua Kong when he was younger. The Southern Country posed a much bigger threat, so currently, Mua Kong is concentrating most of the energy on the Southern border. They planned to slowly conquer each village and provinces at a time. War takes years of planning carefully and soldiers needs time to be fully trained. It is not something that can be rushed.
Two weeks before the annual fall festivals, the master and subordinate made their way back to Mua Kong's palace.
The annual fall festival was a national holiday celebration symbolic for harvest and fruitful that started with the now deceased Queen and current King. Since the current King took over, the country's condition got better and many impoverished parts of the country improved. Although there are still many areas around the country that still has not improved much, but the country is in better condition than it once was.
Mua Kong at least acknowledged the hard work his father and mother put into improving the country, so every year, he always makes the effort to attend the festival.
It was in the later afternoon that the master and subordinate arrived back at the estate. Yee Len ordered the kitchen maid to made dinner for their Lord before chasing after his Lord.
Before Mua Kong reached his study room, Yee Len shouted, "My Lord, won't you go take a bath first?"
Hearing Yee Len asked, Mua Kong paused and changed his direction towards the bathhouse in the back. They have been constantly on the go and have traveled a week back. If he thought about it, he had not soak in the bath for a while.
Yee Len ran to the study room, grabbed a set of new clothes, and rushed towards the bathhouse. He opened the door, went inside to the shelf, and sat the clothes on the shelf. By this time, Mua Kong had already soaked in the hot spring, leaning his head on the edge looking up at the ceiling, dazed, as if his mind is lost somewhere in the universe.
"My Lord! Your new sets of clothes is here on the usual spot." Yee Len shout before tiptoeing out of the bathhouse.
About 30 minutes later, Mua Kong walked out of the bathhouse and walked back to his study room.
At the same time when he opened the door to his study room, Yee Len walked down the hall carrying a food tray. Mua Kong step inside the room and proceeded over to his desk while Yee Len sat the food on the table.
After he finished setting the food on the table he called over, "My Lord, have some food."
