In that awkward position, the man noticed that it was Yu Sha who looked like she was about to fall down the stairs. Shocked at the sight, he quickly got up and rushed towards her to help pull her up. Yu Sha now had a clearer vision of the man coming towards her. He was the stuck up man, Hue Li that she would like to avoid as much as possible.
Seeing him sped towards her, she quickly pulled herself up but before she had the chance to get herself up to a normal position, he was already in front of her reaching his hand out to her, in his dazzling mystical aura, and gentle masculine voice, "Let me help you."
As he reached for Yu Sha, she froze for a few seconds at the sight and sound that could almost assault all of her senses. Why? Why it is now, that this man's look and voice is so awfully soothing against my will? Am I still dreaming? I must still be dreaming? Or have I gone berserk?
Embarrassed and heart pounding, Yu Sha declined, "I.. I.. can get up by myself." But he already lift her up to the floor in the mid of her declining. As he held her straight up to stand infront of him, Yu Sha reached behind her back and gave herself a pinch to determine if she was still dreaming. Ouch,
that hurts, so this is real.
The inner Yu Sha wanted to vanish into thin air from embarrassment, she does not like to look weak and vulnerable in front of people and he had just saw one of her uncool moments. She cringed in her heart from self-hatred but let out a sigh, "Ugh.. Let go of your hand," as she struggle to free herself from Hue Chi's hold.
Seeing all her thoughts displayed through her actions and on face, Hue Chi wanted to laugh. The woman before him was quite comical but he held in his laughter, "You're not dreaming." As he let go of his hands.
Yu Sha gasped as another shock expression displayed on her face, she shook her head, "I didn't say anything." Feigning ignorance.
Hue Chi smiled "Mm. I know, not verbally."
Dumbfounded, Yu Sha felt like she needed to get away. If she stayed there any longer, her whole self would be exposed, as it seemed like this man can read mind.
She turned around with her back facing Hue Chi and muttered, "Um, I gotta go."
Hue Chi chuckled. "Why? I haven't seen anything embarrassing at all."
Yu Sha's movements froze as her eyes wandered for an answer, bastard, he's making fun of me. She then turned around again to face Hue Chi.
Feeling irritated, "Are you a night owl?" Normal people would still be sleeping and about to get up, but this man here, how long have he been sitting here? It's not the first time Yu Sha met him in the dead of the night. Does he ever sleep? Yu Sha questioned the weird man in front of her silently.
A glint of reserveness flashed through his eyes, "You can say that. I don't need a lot of sleep to function like normal people."
"Are you a night owl?" Hue Chi return the question as this is also not the first time he met her in this time of night.
Yu Sha composed herself and straighten her posture, cleared her throat and answered, "No, I don't often get up. I sleep like the dead. It's just that since I arrived, I'm unable to sleep well. But it's only because I'm in a new environment." There is half-truths and half lies in her answer. She still can sleep like the dead in most places, in fact, there hasn't been a place that make her unable to fall asleep in the past. But since she arrived to Aires, she's been feeling restless and even dreamed for the first time.
Hue Chi thought, maybe she could be homesick, but how could a successful career woman who traveled for work like her be homesick? Could there be a deeper meaning to her insomnia? Whatever the reason is, Hue Chi could only provide lip service comfort, "Feel free to visit home anytime if you missed home."
Yu Sha was a little amazed at his comfort. So he knows how to be concerned too? The first time she met him, he was so unapproachable, unfriendly and distant. The second time she met him, he had a 180 degree changed in personality. He initiated conversation and invited her to sit next to him. He even laughed and joke around that she felt eerie of the sudden personality change. Now he's showing concern for lack of sleep.
"Mm. I know, but if I take on a job, I like to pour everything I have into it." Yu Sha was sincere with words.
Hue Chi really does like her work ethic, he suggested, "Hm.. If you need a night owl companionship, I can keep you company."
