Club Zen was one of the most notorious clubs in the area. It's where the rich and famous came to have a good time. On the first floor were a few private rooms along with some open seating tables for dinning. The floor above it was a dancing area with a bar and the third floor was a resting area with six extravagantly designed rooms.

After his meeting with a few investors from the top construction company in Fort City, Alex Zi decided to head home. However, as soon as he left the parking lot, he received a call from his Australian friend Hunter Brown. Even if Hunter knew Alex was tired, he still asked him to stop by the night club for a few drinks to celebrate Club Zen's seventh anniversary.

When Alex arrived, he went straight to private room seven, as instructed by Hunter. Since his friend was the owner, all the workers knew who he was so they let him walk right in.

Hunter was talking to a few guests when Alex walked into the room. He excused himself and went to greet his long-time buddy.

"Yo Zi, thought you changed your mind. Glad to see you bro."

"Nah, went home for a bit."

"What's good mate?" Hunter asked as he pulled a chair to seat at an empty table.

Alex was not much of a talker but when he was with his friends or doing business he didn't mind stretching his sentences.

As soon as he was about to answer Hunter he noticed two beautiful ladies sitting three tables to their left. One had her back to him and the other was busy chatting with her. For some reason, the one with her back to him seemed oddly familiar. He knew the girl facing him was the heir of Luo Fashions, Sanua Luo.

"You know how things are." Replied Alex as he sat at the table.

-------------------------------

Sanua was invited to Club Zen's seventh anniversary party since she was familiar with Hunter and had done business with him on numerous occasions. She hadn't seen Zunnie in a while and decided to bring her along. Club Zen was in the heart of the city, so it took them a while to get there.

The atmosphere in the room was already lively when they got there. Everyone in the room had money and it seemed as if they all knew each other.

The girls greeted a few acquaintances then found a table. A couple of drinks and foods was brought to them after they sat down. They chatted heartily and caught up with what was happening with each other.

"Are we going upstairs to dance later?" asked Sanua as she took a sip from the strawberry mojito in her hand.

"And if I said no, would you listen to me, your best friend?" The beauty sitting opposite from San replied and they both started laughing.

"What can I say, I need to relieve some stress." San replied giggling.

"You can do whatever you want. Just remember I'm driving us back."

"Yes ma'am!" she saluted Zunnie trying to put on a serious face but failed horribly.

Zunnie was familiar with most of the people at the party because of her bestie San. Chatting with them, she was surprised that a few of them knew exactly who she was. She still was not envious of the spotlight. Times like this she felt grateful that she had a quiet life.

Two hours passed, and she was getting bored with the small talk. Just as she was about to ask San to head to the dance floor upstairs. Someone spoke over the microphone beating her to it.

"Everyone the dance floor and bar upstairs are now open. You are free to head over."

Most of the guest must have been waiting to go dancing, because as soon as the person made the announcement, they all headed to the door.

To avoid the crowd, she and Sanua finished their drinks and waited to leave. When most of the people were out, they stood up to head upstairs to the dance club.

As soon as Zunnie turned, she made eye contact with a pair of beautiful amber eyes. She had never seen such fierce looking eyes. She smiled and nodded at the person staring as she walked by.

-----------------------------

Alex had been staring occasionally at the girl in black with her back towards him to see who it was. He was not interested but rather curious to see who the cutie was and if he knew her. For some reason she seemed oddly familiar and he couldn't help but peek in her direction once in a while. As the night went on, he greeted a few on his business partners who were most of the people in the room.

After two hours mingling, he finally was able to make his way back to the table. A few of his friends had joined them and they were all drinking and chatting. As a good host Hunter went up to make the announcement to head upstairs to the dance club.

Hearing Hunter over the speakers he peeked three tables to his left only to see it was still occupied. Since when was he so curious about how someone looked. He had been staring in that direction for most of the night and he had no idea why except out of curiosity. He sat there for a few minutes waiting on Hunter to say he was heading home.

Hunter came back after ten minutes to ask him if he was going to the dance club upstairs. He was about to say no when he saw the back he had been peeking at standing up.

As soon as he turned his head to look, his eyes met hers. He was surprised by her beauty when her deep blue eyes met his. She politely smiled at him showing her perfect white teeth when she walked by. Even if she was gone he could smell the faint yet sweet scent of her perfume.

"What are you smiling at bro?" Hunter erupted his thoughts.

Alex was so dazed he didn't realize that Hunter had stop speaking and was now staring at him like he was crazy.

"Nothing," he replied.

"So, are you coming upstairs or not?"

"Mhm."

Alex along with Hunter and the other guest then headed to the dance club on the second floor.
