Returning to work Monday morning Jade was surprise with the work load piled in her table. She began attending to them one by one when the phone on her table rang it startled her. She let out a sigh before answering.
"Hello?" no reply. "Hello may I know who is this? " still no answer. Jade have an uncomfortable feeling. she sense there's someone on the other end,,,,until she heard the other end hang up.
Maybe just one of those prank calls, or maybe the caller realized he or she dial the wrong number and too embarrassed to answer.
On the other end, Zander let out a sigh after putting down his phone. He had been away for seven long years, three of which he spend in coma, wasted years and just recently he just regained most of his lost memory.
He had spend his time searching for the girl who appeared in his dreams maybe it's true what they say that 'the heart remembers what the mind forgets.' consciously he is oblivious to the existence of the girl who usually visited him in his dreams.
When he regained consciousness he relied on the people who was introduced as his relatives and close friends, only to find out that he had been lied by the people he trusted all along. If not for Steve who never ceases to support him he might not found the truth.
He missed her so much that only for the sound of her voice temporarily quenched the longing and the emptiness he feels inside his heart.
But he had to play along of still suffering from his lost memory to uncover the truth and the people who cause his marriage to break, and the circumstances that put his company in jeopardy with a lot of problems and money missing.
On their first meeting after he came back from abroad. the anticipation and the longing in his heart for his beloved, nearly gave away his cover as soon as their hands touch all the feelings of how it used to be came back to him.and he tried hard to suppressed the emotions within him.
But Carah has changed a lot not only in appearance but in all aspects of her personality. She even changed her name. She's more beautiful than before, mature and so sure of herself.
She speak with authority, no longer the innocent girl that seek his approvals in making decisions.
She became sophisticated in the way she dresses and carry herself,even her strides are powerful that earned a double take on the people she meet.
Surely their break up had made positive. results on her, while he is struggles to overcome the difficulties of uncovering the faceless persons who betrayed them.
He remembered the time when returning from a trip abroad, rushing to be with his wife anticipating on the surprise she will reveal and to quench the longing brought about by their separation due to business matters.
Their anniversary will be a week away and he is planning a surprise for her. Only to find her in bed with another man. Blinded by jealousy, he screamed hurtful words and cursed her existence. while the man fled from the scene.
