The next few days, Arisa became a constant companion to Kaoru as they slowly returned the livelihood for the people of Hesperian Kingdom. This scene brought so much jealousy from others and this fed Arisa's arrogance.

Of course this arrogance was hidden beneath her gentle smiles and soft voice.

"Kaoru, I've noticed that you are becoming thinner, are you sure you're eating just fine?"

As they take a break, sitting in a bench and eating the lunch Arisa brought, she asked.

They had been going all over the city in order to help out in every side, regarding livelihood and even the training of the other knights.

Kaoru had been a strong man himself capable of fighting alongside his brother in the past, he just chose to let go of the sword and just remain on the sidelines.

That is why he was able to give pointers to the captains of the knights regarding their trainings. But he himself haven't used his sword only giving guidance.

Back in the war, he didn't really wield his sword because of the fact that he had to be focused on the shield surrounding his comrades and the seal surrounding the kingdom.

Despite being a ten year old boy, he could already stand side by side with his brother and fight in equal with the other knights. The last time he wielded his sword was when he was 15.

He fought against Eureka, back when she just arrived not with his sword but with a stick. Soon Eureka became stronger that he no longer wanted to spar with her, pushing it to Raven who became her groupmate in the graduation competition.

"I am doing just fine. You really don't have to worry, I'm just worried if I really am able to help your kingdom with my opinions," Kaoru replied gently with a smile as well.

"But I'm just wondering why you no longer allowed me inside your house, I can cook even better for you by then. Especially since your friend miss Akira is no longer here," Arisa pouted as she look up at him.

"It's fine. I can mange cooking on my own, I don't want to trouble you for such things. You cooking for lunch and all is more than enough," he replied as he pat her head.

With a blush, Arisa happily ate more of her share in the lunch.

After the day was over, Kaoru returned home exhausted. The place was still the same, it was still in a mess and he had no desire to fix it at all. He went up, took a bath and lay down in bed.

"Doctor, you have to eat properly. Another week and we would be arriving at Aurora," Mamoru worriedly said to Akira.

Their journey was quite smooth, the only down side was the fact that Akira was mostly quiet and would eat very little. She was just eating in order to satisfy her hunger.

Just like today, she just shook her head from Mamoru, who could only sigh in defeat.

"Do you want us to teach Kaoru a lesson?" he was referring to him and Raven and the others who were present in Aurora kingdom.

"He is no longer himself," Akira instead replied as she look back to the path they have taken.

"May I ask what you mean by that?"

"His smiles have changed drastically compared to when we just arrived. He is currently smiling all the time whenever he talks with the people but that wasn't him. That was not his real smile," Akira answered as she cried all over again.

Mamoru couldn't do anything, he could only watch her cry as they continue with their travels.

Another week passed and they finally arrived, when he saw Akito coming to fetch Akira, he thought that he would be completely mad and berate Akira for choosing Kaoru and that he would be cursing Kaoru.

But to Mamoru's surprise, Akito just silently placed his arms around her shoulders and guided her home. In return Mamoru was called by Akihiro to his office.

"Have you met any incident?"

"No, your highness. The two week travel was peaceful," Mamoru replied with respect.

"Then didn't you feel anything? Like people following you and such?"

Mamoru fell silent as he pondered, thinking back to the whole stretch of their travel.

"I felt it a few times your highness. I was on guard but it seems that they were just watching us," he replied honestly but this actually baffled him.

He had been on guard on their journey and couldn't really get that much sleep for he can feel people watching them. So everytime they stop to eat and for Akira to sleep properly he had always been awake, guarding.

Seeing that Akihiro just nodded upon hearing this, Mamoru could no longer hold it in and asked, "Your highness, I'm sorry and this might be going over board but I really don't get Kaoru's actions towards Akira. He was even holding another girl's hand while sending the doctor away."

Akihiro fell silent for a bit before he took out the letter on his drawer, "You are not the only one who was curious, even Rino and the others. Upon hearing the news of Akira returning and that it was against her will. They came to ask me the same thing, that is why I called for all of you."

Just then Rino and the others knocked and entered the office. All eight of them were complete.

Akihiro handed Rino the letter from Kaoru, "Read it, you are Eureka's most trusted friends and your reactions would surely be the same as hers. I want you to understand why Kaoru have done what he did."

Rino took out the letter and unfolded the paper,

"Brother, this is a selfish request for me. As I stayed here, I noticed that the first stance of the higher ups were changing. It seems that the power allowed them to become greedy but they also knew that the people wouldn't trust them with the position as king. People tend to trust those with royal blood more after all."

"This might only be my imagination by I felt like despite us lying low, they knew who I really am. And that they knew that I came here to assess the place."

Before this letter, Kaoru have already sent a letter to Akihiro describing the current condition of Hesperian Kingdom, so he was already knowledgeable about it.

"A few days after arriving here, a young girl collapsed near the place we are currently living in. And by chance we found out that she was the current chief's daughter. I passed it as nothing but as time went by I noticed how she had started showing more and more interest towards me."

"After that, Akira started showing signs of jealousy that people started thinking of what truly is our relationship. We were known as just adventurers, I didn't introduce her as my wife. Despite that she had been falling into dangerous situations. Like someone pushing her to the river, another a pot almost hitting her in the head."

"The sixth and the last that made me know that they are targeting her was when a carriage almost run on us. Most particularly towards her, that is why I must send her back. If I just tell her to return surely she wouldn't do as I say. I can't place her into any more danger, please send someone to pick her up."

"I won't do anything until then, send someone trustworthy, someone who can protect her during the journey. I just want to make sure that even though they would send someone to follow, nothing is to happen to her. She could only be truly safe within the kingdom, our kingdom."

"After her arrival do send me a letter and the condition of someone who wants to become the king that they have sent. I have no qualms in allowing them to take over on their own, I can just remain as their adviser but they have crossed my  bottom line."

"I shall take over this kingdom and won't allow those people who almost caused Akira's life to be free. The people themselves have no real trust towards these higher ups so me taking over, someone who came and generously helped them, wouldn't be much of an issue."

"Another thing, don't tell this to Akira. Allow her to hate me for now, I can't ask forgiveness not until I find this place safe for her to live. She was someone who knows nothing about fighting, for her to stay here is the most dangerous."

After Rino finished reading the letter, they looked at each other before looking back at Akihiro.

"The condition was signed by the remaining Hesperian people. If someone who wants to become the king were to defeat all the generals and the current chief in a battle then they will accept him as the king," Akihiro said as he brought out another parchment.

"And since Kaoru had been helping their kingdom, I think he was already confident enough that he will be widely accepted by the people once he defeat all those generals."

"But isn't it that Kaoru..." Rino asked uncertainly.

They were already used in just calling him by name, not adding uncle.

"Kaoru was stronger than I am, once he pick up his sword and pratice  just for a bit, his past capabilities would surely return. He was like Eureka after all, he improved his physical capabilities more than his ability."

"He was once known as Blade Child."
