Nana's wedding gown was a tube one that is a fitted bodice through the waist and cascade out towards the ground, in the side of the waist were moon flower designs almost in the shape of a pinwheel. It was like a bouquet pasted on the dress. And a veil flow down like a water.
For squad zero, the ladies were all wearing white with a shade of red long gowns. The men are all wearing black suits except for the groom who wears white.
During the banquet, once this group stood together, no one could take their eyes off of them. Everyone was waiting for the dance portion, the ladies wanting to dance with these gorgeous gentlemen while the gentlemen wanting to dance with these beautiful ladies.
Of course they can see who are the partners among them and knew their limits. Most are just eyeing Raven and Suzuki. They knew that these two are not in a relationship after all. One of those who are looking like a hungry wolf was Diane.
After what had happened that day, she barely came out of her house but every nobles were invited in the wedding so she must attend. After seeing these group of gentlemen, she became a hungry wolf and was seething in anger and envy for Suzuki.
Suzuki who noticed the looks just smiled smugly at these group of hyena's, 'Go on and be jealous. This man will never look your way anyway.'
She and Raven are currently dancing. She had no complain about him, he was indeed a gentleman it's just his face was indifferent and aloof, 'I guess a change in his face could only be brought out by Eureka herself. Well the two of them are quite the same, that one also rarely shows much change when we are together, except when the two of them are together.'
"I can clearly tell that you, princess, has her mind somewhere else. Is this partner of yours too boring for you?" she then heard Raven's voice which brought her back to reality.
"I am just thinking how your facial expression could only be changed when it involves Eureka," she grinned as she replied.
And she can clearly see the momentary change in his face after she mentioned it. Raven cleared his throat not planning on retorting or anything.
Soon their dance was over, but before she could relax, Rino invited her for a dance. Followed by Mamoru then by Hideyoshi and finally by the groom.
She didn't know whether she would laugh or cry, "Are you guys pitying me?"
She finally asked as she and Natsuki was almost done with their dance.
"No, we're just following orders not to make you feel lonely," Natsuki replied as he spin her around.
Suzuki once again laughed, since Theo couldn't come he tasked them to stay with her and dance with her? That's a bit too much, she could get tired as well. Even the girls didn't leave her side.
"By the way Suzuki, where's your necklace?" Natsuki asked just as they bow at each other.
She then touched her neck and her eyes grew wide upon realizing that her necklace was gone. To be more precise the ring that Theo gave her was gone.
She started frantically looking all over the dance floor.
'Impossible, impossible, how could I have dropped it? Where, where did I drop it?'
She was looking frantically that she didn't notice the whole place becoming silent and her friends weren't even a bit worried with her.
"Could you be looking for this, princess?" she then heard a voice behind her.
Looking back, there was no one in her eye level, then she looked down only to see the ring in his hand while he was kneeling. She's even more shock when she looked at the owner of that hand.
He gave her a smile, "Am I right princess?"
"What... are you doing here?" she couldn't believe it, Theo who said that he couldn't attend was kneeling right in front of her.
"Uhmmm proposing?" he replied before he clears his throat.
"Princess Suzuki of Confederate Kingdom, would you give this prince the chance to take care of you from this day forth until both of us grow old? Would you accept this ring and marry this man kneeling in front of you?" Theo seriously said as he stare straight into her eyes.
Suzuki covered her mouth as she still couldn't believe what was going on. Theo have indeed placed the ring in her finger back then and only said that he will come for her. But he didn't propose yet, that is why she took it off her finger and instead wore it in her neck.
"Will you?" after a few moments that Suzuki was still not replying, Theo asked again, he was actually nervous.
"Are you stupid? Of course I will," she replied.
Theo grinned and put the ring in her ring finger, this garnered a round of applause from everyone who was present. Some ladies were jealous of such a scene. Some men were gritting their teeths especially those who were planning on courting her.
"But how come it was with you? I still remembered having it in my neck a while ago," Suzuki finally asked.
"Well, your first dance is quite a thief, that's why," Natsuki replied as all nine of them approach the two of them.
Suzuki looked at Raven who was still standing indifferently who only gave her a smile.
'No wonder he was my first dance,' she could only think of this.
"So the reason why all of you always made me preoccupied with something was for Theo to sneak in?" she then asked them.
The ladies laughed to this while the guys just smirked. Theo have asked all of them for this simple surprise to work. Of course even Ichiro, her father, was in it.
Suzuki could only shake her head in happiness. She had the best comrades and friends and now she felt like she had the best man for her.
"Can I have the princess's last dance?" Theo then asked with a bow.
Soon all five pairs are dancing in the dance floor, happily chatting with each other. Raven watched them from afar before he silently moved out to the balcony. He sat in the guard rail with his leg hanging in the air. His arm was resting on his knee as he watch the lights that enveloped the whole city.
He was happy for all his friends and was actually not feeling sad at all. Instead he felt peaceful seeing them starting to settle down and have their own families.
A smile appeared in his lips, "People are having the peace you wnated them to have. Slowly you're starting to achieve whatever it was that you wanted. It seems your time limit for returning is five years. Can you come back?"
He looked up at the starry sky, he only felt nostalgic at the moment. No longer agitated or saddened by what was happening.
Another 10 minutes after the last dance ended, the others finally realized that Raven was no longer inside. The guests are finally leaving, they waited until everyone have left before they went out to look for him in the balcony. This is all because Nana and Natsuki are the star of the event, they couldn't really leave just like that.
"What are you doing here all alone?" Rino asked as they approach him.
"Enjoying the silence," he replied.
The others looked at each other and just stood their enjoying the silent joyous night as well. This is the first time they have been together after two years, it felt lacking because there are only eleven of them but at the same time it felt peaceful.
"Call... my... name."
The silence was suddenly interrupted when out of the blue they heard three words, at first chill run down their spines but soon realization hit them, that voice.
Raven abruptly stood up and looked around, there was nothing except for them. But the voice was clear, despite being weak, it was clear and surely all eleven of them have heard it.
"Eureka!!" Nana called out, "Are you here? Can hear me? I am married now, Natsuki and I are married now. Are you here to congratulate us?"
"Eureka!!" one by one all ten of them started calling out her name.
"Come back now, we have done the things you wanted to happen, slowly very slowly the whole land is becoming much more peaceful," Rino started speaking to the wind as well.
They couldn't be mistaken, that voice was the same voice they had been missing all this time. It was undoubtedly her.
But that was all, they only heard those three words and no matter how they called there's no more response.
"You're too cruel, but still is this your way of saying that you will return?" Nana asked as she felt like crying. And she did, all the ladies did, but their tears were not that of a sad one. Instead it was a happy one. For the first time in two years they've heard her voice again.
Raven who was the only who didn't call out her name have a different thought, 'You have to return, before the time you set up ends.'
