Two weeks after the decision was made. Eureka who was still affected stayed in her room most of the time. Confusion filled her mind and her heart.

Eureka was sitting by the window, thinking whether what had happened was indeed a dream or not. Everyone returned to normal back then, no one asked her where she went and told her how was her sleep.

Everyone was pointing that after she had her wounds checked she remained asleep for a whole day, that she never left after the incident.

As if what happened by the cliff was really a dream. Even her emotions back then was gone. After that she could see how everyone have left her alone, even Hikari who visited her after waking up, stayed only for a few moments.

She even said that Eureka have truly fainted the moment she caught that sword and the others have arrived.

"It must be because you were so relieved back then sister, I had to support you with my own body."

With that, Eureka was completely left for confusion. The feeling was still there for her but the events were a blur. Even the ones in the cliff, as if she really had that as a dream.

The only thing she could remember was the moment Raven hugged her tight in that so called dream and the last thing she saw of him crying.

"I really am not used in seeing such a blank look at you."

She then heard a voice not far from her. Looking back she saw him sitting on her bed like it was his own.

"Sir... Dai?" her voice was quiet.

"Hmmm... That's my name in here but I am also someone else," he stood up and walked towards her. His attitude was 180 degrees different than how Dai have always been.

"Here you go. You tasked me to give this to you once they have decided whether to allow you to live without knowing the past. Be happy you returned before the promised time was over. If not you surely would be so confused for the rest of your life."

She furrowed her brows as she took the envelope, in it was written. 'To Eureka.'

Upon looking up, Dai was no longer there in her room. Like he just disappeared into thin air.

Her brows were furrowed, the door was far from where she sat, how did he suddenly disappeared?

She shrugged it off and opened the envelope unfolding the letter inside.

~To the Eureka who finally returned from her long journey. If you are reading this letter then surely they have chosen to let you live in ignorance of your past. I can understand why they have chosen that, but I feel different. And I know once you finish reading this letter you would say "That is indeed our decision."~

Her brows were furrowed, the letter was addressed to her, from the past her. At the same time she felt a strong piercing pain in her head.

~I want you to remember. Indeed the journey was painful, full off death and killing. I have asked myself multiple times, "Am I still human?"~

("Tell me, please tell me. Am I still human?")

The thing she said in what they all call a dream of hers, came to her mind.

~I don't know what kind of damage this might bring you for everything was meant for you not to remember everything. Yet I will gamble with this letter, I just wish no matter what you experience you will continue reading everything.~

~We are strong remember that, no matter how much our hearts would break or no matter how much we succumb to darkness, I and I know, you, have the same thoughts, to understand everything and understand who we truly are.~

~I am but the past but still I wish for the both of us to live freely after everything. I am aware that we will have a long journey ahead of us after this war. But we promised them, that we will be there for them. In the future.~

~You must be completely confused by everything but let me tell you everything will clear up as long as you have the courage to face it.~

Her head was in so much pain as she continued reading, but she didn't care. This letter was written by the past her, that means this must be what she truly felt.

~I have bathed in so many people's blood. My hands were washed with it for as long as I can remember. When I returned to the kingdom, I was already numb to killing but as I spent more time with them. The feelings that have long became numb somehow returned, slowly, slowly, they are all coming back to me.~

~That is why I want you to remember. Not just because of the painful past but I want you to remember because of the bliss we felt and the peace they have given us for all the time that all of us were together. I want you to remember all the precious moments we spent together, all the memories we shared.~

~I want you to remember our family and finally, really spend time with all of them. And most of all, I want you to remember him. Whom I know is still hurting because of us. Because of me and because of you.~

~The following papers after this are all recollection of everything that we've been through. I just hope that once you finished reading everything you will regain all your lost memories.~

~And that by then you would be able to say those words without reserve, just freely saying it. Without anything holding you back, so leap forward Eureka. No matter how painful it is for your memories to return, grab hold of it.~

~We kept running away in the past, running away from them and the emotions we felt. We are so scared that we even gave the demand of them forgetting about us in five years span of time of us not returning.~

~That is only because we don't want them to wait in vain. Who knows just how long we will be gone. But if we indeed return before the time expired, then we are still lucky. So remember Eureka, remember.~

Tears drop from her eyes as she read the first page of the letter, she can feel the happiness she had when she was writing this page. She then stopped holding back wanting to know who she was, she flipped through the pages and recollected everything.

It was not an easy fit, the first few words of those letters of recollection, she had actually fainted from the pain. Upon waking up she found out she had forgotten what she had just read.

Luckily the letter was still there, no one knew about this. On the first time she fainted no one came to check on her for she asked them not to disturb her for the time being.

The next few days she had fainted multiple times, her head felt like it was being split into two. But the letter from the past her pulled her through. No matter how many times she fainted and forget what she had just read, she kept going.

She had asked the maids to leave her food outside and that she still wants to be alone. No one bothered her for everyone still thinks that she was still confused.

Even Raven and the others didn't check on her, after all they have decided to stay away from her for the time being in order to let her get used on her new identity without her memories trying to resurface.

She didn't know how many times she would wake up filled with sweat and her head feeling like it was being hammered. She persevered and gritted her teeth.

Seeing as she was still cooped up in her room for another two weeks, Hikari came to visit her. Luckily it was during the time where she was resting and digesting what she had just read.

"Sister why are you so thin? Why do you look so pale?"

"Don't worry princess, I'll be fine. I'm still in confusion but I'm almost there. Can you allow me to be alone for now?" Eureka didn't want to chase her away but she needed to be alone.

The letter indicated that it was in her hands because everyone decided to let her live in ignorance, if they found out just how much in pain she was as she tried to remember. Surely they would take away the letter.

Hikari could only nod her head in sadness thinking that it was still her fault. If only she didn't persisted on going to the border.

Eureka knew what was on her mind but she can't change that for now, she could only silently apologize to this young girl.

After that visit no one bothered her and she stayed coop up in her room in another month. One arduous month that there are times where she felt like she was about to lose her life.

Until one night where the moon shone down through her window, she who was lying on the cold floor opened her eyes. And the glimmer within it was enough to let people know that she had finally returned.
