"You can take a rest tomorrow," Eureka said at Azusa who was currently sitting down, panting.

"Why?" she couldn't help but ask, she was just getting used to using her left hand.

"The meeting about the real reason why we came here will be held tomorrow," Eureka replied as she walked away.

<That's right, we came here for an alliance, I totally forgot.> Azusa thought as she too started walking back.

*****

"Are you confident that we will get a yes from them?" Yukimura asked Akihiro.

"I am not entirely sure, we are asking them to come and die with us after all," Akihiro replied.

"In the end, after a week of staying here we didn't get a glimpse of Haruka," Yukimura suddenly said.

"*sigh* Maybe we are not yet meant to meet again after 20 long years," Akihiro replied sadly.

He would be lying if he said that he wasn't expecting to see her while they were roaming around the kingdom, but in the end he failed.

"Let's focus on the meeting tomorrow for now," Akihiro then said.

*****

"Do you have a plan for tomorrow/" Raven asked as he approached Eureka who's currently standing in a balcony of the castle.

"Shouldn't you be asking the king or sir Yukimura of that question instead of me?" Eureka replied not looking at him.

"I have a hunch that the approval of the meeting tomorrow will depend on you though," Raven replied as he played with the snow in the rails.

"This place is truly white," he couldn't help but remark.

"But it will soon be tainted, if nothing is to be done," Eureka replied before turning away.

<Tainted?> Raven couldn't help but wonder.

*****

"So what really brought you here, your highness?" Shigure asked.

"I will go straight to the point. We want to create an alliance with you, your highness," Akihiro replied politely.

"An alliance? That's new. In the past hundreds of years not once did the four kingdoms created an alliance. I wonder why you brought it up?" Shigure was shocked.

"I'm sorry but is it possible for us to talk to you alone your highness?" Akihiro replied glancing at Gato who was also there.

There are the three of them, him, Yukimura and Eureka. And the other two, Shigure and Gato, in the inner hall.

"That's possible but might I ask why she should be here instead of me, your highness?" Gato couldn't help but be offended and answer in Shigure's stead.

"She could be labeled as our strategist other than being a captain knight sir Gato," Akihiro replied.

"Then-"

"It's alright Gato, go on and stand guard outside the great hall," Shigure stopped him instead.

"I understand, your highness," Gato could only oblige.

After he left.

"How strong would the enemy be?" Shigure asked afterwards, shocking the other three.

"You know it's because of an enemy, your highness?" Akihiro asked.

"Once there was a premonition ability user in this family, it was thousands of year ago, he had said that far in the future a kingdom will start an alliance with the others in order to defeat an enemy that could destroy worlds. But no one knows if that would happen or not, during those times they were still on guard but as time passed by, it only became a parchment in the library. My grandfather told me not take it easy, cause that far future might already be close. Though I have no idea why he thinks so," Shigure explained.

"Then will you approve?" Akihiro replied.

"No, not yet. I can't put my peoples lives in danger," Shigure replied.

"I don't know what we can give you though, your highness," Yukimura replied.

"You came here unprepared?" Shigure asked.

"Our time is short, we want to prepare as much as we can, all I can offer is support to your kingdom when it too gets into war with a different enemy," Akihiro replied.

"That is enticing indeed but that won't be in the near future, what if you died on your upcoming war. And in the end when we ask for help from your successor they'd deny the pact?" Shigure asked.

"Won't be in the near future? Are you for certain your highness?" for the first time Eureka spoke.

The other three looked at her.

"May I ask why you would be asking that?" Shigure asked.

"Confederate Kingdom."

Two words and Shigure was stomped for words.

"They are getting close, the real reason your knights wouldn't allow us to borrow your training ground was because they are currently having a rigorous training. Within this month if I'm not mistaken you will start moving towards where the battle will commence."

"How did you know about that?" Shigure couldn't help but ask.

"I've been roaming around for the past few days, I've heard some talking about it."

"There's only you here right now, if we indeed ask for your help the time it takes you to return to the Aurora kingdom and go to the place where the battle will take place, it will be too late already. Either we lost or we win," Shigure explained.

"Indeed the travel will be too long, but you only needed our help right now. Ah no let me correct that, we won't be including our king, your highness," Eureka replied.

"How can you be so certain?" Shigure asked in return.

"Then would you gamble with me, your highness? If this war ended with the least possible casualty, will you sign the contract with our kingdom?" Eureka asked.

"Least possible casualty?"

"Yes, your highness. All I ask of your troops is to defend and not to fight back."

"Wha- How is that possible?"

"For 15 minutes, that's all I'm asking your highness. Give us 15 minutes to end your war. And if 15 minutes is over and the war didn't end then you can fight back. Will you allow for this knight to ask for such a request, your highness?" Eureka then knelt down and asked with all respect.

Shigure was stomped for words. <If the war ended in 15 minutes with the least possible casualty then that would be great, but why would she ask us to just defend while waiting?>

"We also need the help of Confederate Kingdom, your highness," Eureka as if knowing what he was thinking said afterwards.

"Just how big is the enemy?"

"Bigger than anyone ever faced," Eureka replied standing up and facing him.

"I see, if this knight of yours king Akihiro has this much resolve and confidence, then I shall gamble. If what she says will happen. Then I won't have any second thoughts in making an alliance with you," Shigure looked at Akihiro and announced.

"Then my thanks shall wait until the end of battle, king Shigure," Akihiro replied shaking Shigure's hand.

After they left.

"Have you agreed your highness?" Gato asked upon seeing his king coming out.

"I have at the same time I haven't. We'll wait until the war ends. But their three captains shall be joining us."

"Why would they be helping us? Is that their way to make as accept their alliance, your highness?"

"Yes and no, sir Gato," Shigure replied with his voice being distant.

"I understand your highness," Gato realizing that Shigure won't impart to him what happened during the meeting could only accept defeat.

*****

"Did you really heard their war from the people?" Akihiro asked after they left.

Eureka faced him but didn't reply. But her face says that Akihiro already know why she knows.

"I see, then what happened to their kingdom in that future?"

Akihiro asked just as they were out in the courtyard where the whole place was covered in white.

"This whole place was tainted with red. Covering everything," Eureka replied as if seeing the whole place.

Yukimura and Akihiro couldn't help but shiver. A place as white as this, to be covered with blood, just how many people died?

"Then what are you really planning? How sure are you that you will win the gamble?" Yukimura then asked.

"In a game of chess, the game will end once you checkmate the king," Eureka replied.

"But the king is also heavily guarded," Akihiro understanding what she meant replied.

"I didn't say that we will play a fair game of chess, your highness," Eureka answered respectfully.

This further confused Akihiro and Yukimura.

"You'll understand once the war ends," Eureka feeling their confusion said afterwards.

Akihiro couldn't help but pat her head, "Your current age is old enough to others but for me, you and the other five are still young. You've seen and experienced too much, I hope that you'll allow yourself to relax and be happy even for a bit."

Eureka didn't move or say anything, soon after Akihiro allowed her to leave.

<I wonder how her family feels once they found out that she's here but has nothing on her mind other than her mission. If I were her father, I don't think I would be able to carry the thought of my daughter who was suddenly sent to the future in order to experience what will happen if nothing is to be done on her own timeline.> Akihiro thought as he watch her retreating back.
