- Central Hostpital, Ribekia -

Sia continuously blinked at the guy in front of her, but to no avail.

"Mr. greatest teacher in the world?"

No response.

"Master Octopus ?"

Looking at the rage in his eyes, Sia immediately knew that she was not on the right track...

"Big brother? "

"Just big brother?" the man asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Bestest big brother?" Sia probed with uncertainty.

"Does that mean I am better than that guy?", at the new address Kalix immediately asked back while pointing at the man standing at the doorframe of the room.

At his question Sia couldn't help but choke on her own saliva. Kalix has started ignoring her the moment she called Alex big brother in front of him. What was she supposed to say when she could clearly feel the burning gaze from Alex? Why were those men so childish?

"You two are my two bestest brothers," Sia said with a silly giggle while blinking her doe eyes.

However, none of the men were satisfied with her answer: how could there be two bestest brothers? Now even Alex was blatantly seeking for answers from her with his eyes.

Sia finally couldn't take it and snapped, "Can you guys stop putting me on the spot and instead move so that we are not too late for our visit? I promised to visit at 10! We move right now, otherwise forget about me calling any of you brother, let alone the best at that."

Both Alex and Kalix were actually quite familiar with her antics, and knew better that she could truly stop calling them brother, so they both decided to take a step back. More precisely, it was Kalix who decided to take a step back. Anyways he was going to protect her from the shadows, and would never show his face when he was with her. And as Alex was going to be with her, he couldn't be bothered to put a skin mask just to visit an old lady.

"Can I wait in the car while you visit Mrs. Lucy?", Alex asked carefully.

Sia vigorously shook her head and rolled her eyes at him.

'Huh young man, why do you think I am so eager to go there tonight in the first place?' she was starting to have doubts about her big brother's brain power. She only hoped he was not beyond salvation.

"Sia, I really don't want to meet that crazy girl! I know you promised, but can you please go alone at another time?" He paused for a moment and asked as emotionally as he could, "You know I am leaving tomorrow, so isn't it better if we spend more time together, only the two of us?"

His implication was clear, he didn't want another 'big brother' being with them.

Kalix would want more than anyone else to actually take his precious little student, no actually his precious little sister around, but he wasn't as lucky as the platinum haired bastard. If others noticed him near Sia, that would be the same as telling the world that Sia had something to do with the Dragon. However, was he an idiot to tell him all this?

"Huh, as if I would let you be with her alone if you were not blood related to her," he clicked his tongue with displeasure. "You are lucky I have some matters to attend to today."

Alex felt a sense of relief after he heard his words, but this gesture of his actually made Sia to feel more worried about him. How could her big brother not realise what Kalix's presence could mean when even he knew that he was one of Cain's trusted subordinates?

Feeling defeated at the bantering of the two grown up children, Sia didn't bother to waste any more energy and walked out of the room, with no space for further arguments.

- Southern Hospital, Ribekia -

Mrs. Lucy was already awake after her anaesthesia wore off. She was a bit tired, but it didn't hold her back from observing the surrounding people. The girl, Siana, was a really positive person, and with her granddaughter they haven't stopped chatting and laughing since the very start of her visit. Her years of experience made it easy for her to see the kindness the girl carried in her. She hoped from her heart that her granddaughter, who was quite guarded towards others, could find a friend in her.

Looking at those two, she then shifted her gaze to the two quiet men sitting on the other side of the ward meant for the other patient. She could actually see the young man flinching every time her granddaughter looking at him with sparkles in her eyes, which she found nothing but amusing.

She was initially shocked learning about Siana, but then she was even more shocked learning that Siana's cousin was the designer her granddaughter had been idolising all those years.

She was deep in thought, when she heard Siana calling her,

"Grandma Lucy, I am glad everything is fine now. We will have to leave now as Alex has to catch a flight tomorrow morning. I will be in touch with Olivia and will come visit you as soon as I can."

Mrs. Lucy smiled at her thoughtfulness: she knew the girl was a surgeon and a very busy one at that? but she actually found the time to visit her not once but twice. How could she not like the girl?

"Of course my dear. Go do your job, but don't forget to take care of you. You are young, so don't overexert yourself otherwise it will have bad consequences in the future."

Siana nodded happily at her while warmth filled her heart. She then bid her farewells but the twins insisted on walking them to the parking lot.

As they reached the parking lot, Olivia couldn't help but feel sad at the thought of her idol leaving.

"Umm... Mr. Illes, when will you come back?"

Alex wanted to ignore her, but Sia's strong pinching didn't leave him with a choice but to answer her:

"I don't know."

At his dismissive answer Olivia felt even more saddened and dejected. Was her idol made of an ice?

However, who was Siana? Her mellow voice, and her neither fast nor slow words soon caused ripples in all of the present people's minds.

"Brother, I already promised Olivia that you will help her with her assignment. Please give her your contact details so that you can be in touch." She was standing next to him, so lowering her voice she whispered to Alex, "You won't go back on my promise right?"

Olivia was frozen at het spot, her breathing becoming erratic: when did Sia promise her such a thing?

On the other hand, Alex would have cursed at Sia if she was not his sister. Why was it HIM who should uphold HER promise? Where was her LOGIC?

He was thinking of ways to refute but the pinching of his arm didn't stop, on the contrary, it became so strong he flinched from the pain.

Looking at the source of the pain he met Sia's warning glare, which sent him many danger signs. He knew that he couldn't refuse her or else he was going to pay. As such, with overwhelming reluctance and unwillingness, he took out a personal business card and handed it to the crazy girl without any words.

Olivia first froze at his gesture, then looked at the card, then looked at the man and looked back at the card card again. It seemed that reasilation finally hit her and the next moment her screams filled the parking lot:

"AHHHH, I can't believe this! I have Alex Illes' card! I have his F*CKIN PERSONAL CONTACT DETAILS!!!!"

Not knowing how to contain her happiness, she continuously jumped up and down and the next moment she gave a bear hug to Sia and Alex, taking them both unprepared.

Oliver, who was the only rational person at the scene coughed heavily, and tugged at his sister's arm. He smiled apologetically at the frozen statue of a man in front of him and the girl with twinkling eyes, and bidding the two cousins goodbye, pulled his sister out of the parking lot.

"Mission complete!" Smiled the standing girl proudly, "shall we go back now?"
