In a short time, the six of us became famous throughout the campus. It is not easy to make yourself hot. But the six of us suddenly turned into somebodies at this university overnight, though, the reason was negative.

Due to the horrible video sounds and the grunts, I fell asleep before dawn. But before I had time to enjoy it, I heard the sound of a whistle.
“Who’s that? Is he calling souls? With such a loud noise! I want my sleep!” Liu Yi was the first to wake up, so he complained first.
Pound!
With a great boom, our door was pushed open from the outside.
Then a man with a black face and dressed in a green military uniform entered. “That’s right! I am calling your soul! Ask your soul to return to your body immediately!”
His voice was serious, without any levity.
I tried to open my eyes wider to see him clearer.
Then I came to realize today was the first day of the military training.
By the time I realized this, it was too late.
We six became famous again.
The trainer didn’t give us time to put on our clothes. “Run to the training ground, now! Or the six of you will go home!”
We dared not argue with him; instead, we ran out immediately, dressed only in our underwear.
Soon, we saw all the freshmen on the ground. It was a dark cloud.
So, we were really hot this time.
Before today’s incident, I had thought that I was thick-skinned enough. But now I would rather call the Liu bothers “master.”
While four of us were standing awkwardly on the ground, those two were keeping their chests straight and look up with pride, as if they were being awarded.
Now, due to their weird posture, more people turned their eyes toward us.
How I wanted to find some crack in the ground to hide myself in.
“Liu Yi, Liu Xun, Meng Haoran, Yang Xin, Xu Fei, Liu Ming!”
Our trainer didn’t care about our shameful status; he called our names loudly.
“Yes, sir!”
“You six made the whole class the last one. Did you have any idea about this?” he asked harshly.
We looked at each other, not knowing what to say. We had no idea what he wanted from us.
“You six made the whole class lose honor. So each of you, go run ten laps.” He himself soon gave out the answer.
Ten laps?
I was stunned by this punishment. Now Liu Yi began to bargain with him, saying, “Trainer, ten laps is too many. Besides, we aren’t dressed yet, and it is so hot today. . . ”
“Eleven!”
The trainer didn’t give us more time to struggle; he was leaving with the other students.
Liu Yi, however, turned anxious. “Trainer, it really would be tiring. How about we have a discussion?”
“Fifteen!” The trainer added more, his fingers pointing at the track again.
I didn’t expect Liu Yi had such an IQ before he called out loudly, “Master, you should be more thoughtful! We could die under this sun in only ten laps. Let alone fifteen. . . ”
When we all felt desperate because of his stupid action, the trainer walked toward us slowly. For a minute, I had some illusion that he looked kind and he might be merciful after hearing Liu Yi call after him.
“Twenty, or go home!”
Without any hesitation, six men wearing only underwear ran to the track.
“Do you think the trainer is sick?” Liu Xun complained to Liu Yi, who was behind him.
Liu Yi’s face was already red just from this short while of running. “Gosh! He must be brain-damaged! He doesn’t even understand the language of human beings!”
“Be careful, Fat Liu. He must be watching us still.” Yang Xin pushed his glasses up while running.
Bingo!
“The three who just talked, five more laps! No lunch until you finish running!” The trainer suddenly appeared at the Liu brothers’ back.
Yang Xin, the poor one, was also entangled.
Xu Fei, Meng Haoran, and I wanted to laugh, but we dared not. So our faces reddened instead.
“Trainer, those three took pleasure in our misfortune. Why don’t you punish them?” Yang Xin tried to drag us down with him.
