Chapter 59: The Invasion Begins

I responded, smiling. But it isn’t good to be called a monster by a demon. They are technically monsters themselves.

When I left the hole I saw that, thanks to summoning the ice snakes, the enemies that had been surrounding the hole had either run off or were killed when the snakes burst out of the hole.
“What’s next?”
I asked Greed when I got out.
“This is……We should be in Mandrake Forest. From the information that intelligence had gathered, the center of the enemy army should be near here. In other words, we need to walk back a bit to reach the rear of the nearby army. Our target should be there, the person who took your body.”
Greed said, pointing towards some grass nearby.
“Hurry and hide in the grass, others should be coming soon.”
“Understood.”
I tapped the air, and the ice snakes completely disappeared. Our group hid in the brush and slowly made our way across the forest.
“We came out early, and we were suppose to be further back, so there should be no problem for us to go this way.”
“Well that’s good.”
Giving it some thought, I decided to completely lift the ice magic. After all, if they were allowed to melt naturally then ten days wouldn’t be enough time.
Now that the ice has lifted, perhaps some of the spiders didn’t die and can surprise the enemy.
Continuing forward, we could hear the voices of people on the main path. It seems that the enemy has sent over reinforcements. I hope they have a pleasant battle with the spiders.
As we continued forward, there was a noise and a system prompt came out.

“Well, the enemy’s barracks should be laid out symmetrically, and the enemy’s commander should be in the back of the center. We’ll take advantage of their movements to find out where they are before we decide what to do.”
“Then who’ll go?”

She looked at Oyado.
“I’ll go with this little sister.”
“No, I’ll go with elder sister!”

Seeing their pained look, I shrugged, and showing that there wasn’t anything I could do.
But looking at Greed’s helpless expression, I sighed and said.
“All right, how about this. I’ll go scout with Oyado. You can use that time to start some disturbances in the enemy camp. It’ll help us focus some of the enemy’s attention.”

“Bai Yueguang, wait here until you hear from us.”
I said with a smile.
“Maybe we’ll just go over and kill them.”
“Hey, don’t mess around. That’s a military encampment.”
“I know, I know.”
I said, looking at the encampment.
“While I never really played stealth games, but I still know about Solid Snake.”
“Who’s Solid Snake?”
Greed asked from the side.
“He’s……a very famous master of stealth.”
