Paisen had been running for a few minutes, but it seemed like an eternity to him.
He was running away from the devil!He was running away from the devil! He had only seen it a couple of times when it devoured his bodyguards.
Its sharp yellow eyes evoked a feeling of being watched by the incarnation of his inner demons.Its scales, as dark as the night made it impossible to see its form, only the light of its eyes was discernible in the darkened wood.
And the hissing that it produced while it moved was the song of death in Paisen's hearing.
He had never felt so much fear in his life, he was so focused on running that he didn't even notice the cuts in his body or the tiredness.
"Uugh!"
After crossing some bushes, Paisen stumbled upon a thing and fell to the ground.
*Splash*
Paisen fell into a puddle, splashing its entire contents in the surrounding area. The fluid was thicker than water at contact and it emitted an unpleasant metallic smell.
"...!"
At once, he knew that he had fallen into a puddle of blood!
"Wasn't I fleeing towards the clan? How can there be any blood on here?"
As he turned to find out what he had stumbled upon, Paisen felt how his stomach contents were rising up through his throat.
*Retch*
Paisen had run into a corpse!Looking closer, the body shone faintly under the moonlight because of its armor, which was the standard armor of his guards!
He had discovered the execution field for his subordinates.When he raised his sight, all he saw was blood and the remnants of corpses,it was a bloodbath.
That monster had killed them before going after his group and they hadn't heard anything!

It was there! The sound of the reaper!
When he turned around, what awaited Paisen were a pair of indifferent yellow eyes.

Ten minutes later.
"Good work Lerna."
Rainer approached step by step as he slid his hand over Lerna's squamous body. Rainer knew that Lerna loved the caresses at the base of her tail, so he gladly rewarded her for her effort.
Ssss!
Lerna showed her satisfaction at Rainer's caress.
No one could associate this playful creature with the bloodthirsty beast that murdered Paisen's whole squad.
"Mmm!"
A few drowned cries could be heard from Lerna's location.
"Well...what do we have here?"
Said Rainer as he laughed mockingly.
"Lerna, don't squeeze our guest too hard..."
After Rainer's words, Lerna released a bit her hold on Paisen.
"Hu..hu..hu..." Paisen tried to inhale as much air as he could, as if it were a very limited resource.
"Rainer, help me! This monster has killed all my guards and you will be the next one if you don't help me!"
Paisen felt as if he was hanging from a cliff and someone had thrown him a rope to climb.Rainer was his only way to escape from the jaws of this creature.
"You still haven't noticed?" Rainer looked at Paisen like he was stupid.
"Don't you dare to look at me that way! I used to threaten you and I'll keep doing it! You are nothing in my eyes!"
Paisen seemed to have lost all reason, his eyes were red, as if he were possessed by a demon.
"You don't seem to understand the situation you're in..."
"Lerna!"
After his order, Lerna's tail contracted, increasing the pressure on Paisen's body.
"Uugh!"
The pressure was such that Paisen's face turned purple and his body started to fracture.
"Sto-Stop it please!" The drool fell out of Paisen's mouth as he cried, he finally understood the situation he faced and that it would be Rainer who would decide his fate.
"What do you want from me? Please don't kill me! Anything but that!"Paisen was only able to say the first thought that came to his mind in this situation.
"What do I want from you? Shouldn't I be the one asking you that question? Why did you kidnap Alisha?"
"After the summoning ritual I decided to forget the past between us, but now you came and you do this to me! Don't think that I don't know what your purpose is, I already questioned your assistant and he gave me all the details."

Paisen remained silent, he knew that Rainer was prepared to kill him and anything he said would be useless, so he decided to menace him.
"You can do whatever you want to me, but the clan will found out about what you did to me and you will be killed as well as that little whore!But not before Yren tastes her!Who knows, he may even let you watch it, hahahahhaha!"
"I've heard enough....Lerna..."
Rainer gave his last order to Lerna as he went to the place where Alisha was resting.
"Aaaaaaarrrgggg!"
Behind him, Paisen's body began to be crushed as Lerna increased her pressure on him. Blood began to ooze from the openings of his body while his bones crackled exhibiting the strength applied by Lerna.

The screaming ended after a small explosion. After killing Paisen, Lerna followed Rainer and let all those nocturnal predators take care of the dead bodies.

In the distance, a slim figure witnessed all the events while hiding.
The figure was surprised at the rapid growth of both Rainer and his spiritual beast.Rumors indicated that Rainer had summoned a small, helpless snake, but after this evening those rumors disappeared from the figure's thoughts.It was a predator!

After pondering the events, the figure vanished into the woods' darkness.

Alisha woke up from what seemed to be a nightmare, she was in Rainer's room, on his bed.
Beside her, Rainer slept profoundly, indicating how exhausted he was.
"If I recall correctly... something grabbed me from the back and I fainted... After that, I remember some screams and blood..."
Alisha was trying to remember what had happened the previous evening.
"Mmm..."
Next to her, Rainer seemed to wake up due to her moves.
"Good morning,Alisha, how are you feeling?
Asked Rainer worriedly.
"I'm fine, thank you for asking, Young Master."
Alisha blushed when Rainer stared so closely at her and quickly stood up to do her assignments.
"Alisha, you'd better leave the room as little as possible until the clan tournament.From now on, you will sleep with me in my chamber."
Said Rainer without a hint of shame on his face.
"Wh-wh-what! Young master, you are gonna..."
Alisha's eyes began to spin in circles thinking about what was coming.
"It's not what you're thinking! After the kidnapping yesterday, I am afraid for your safety! Just that!"
Rainer quickly explained what happened to Alisha, omitting the part where he tortured and slaughtered his kidnappers.
