The group had met early for breakfast before continuing their journey, as Rainer wanted to investigate that ancient secret base, he had to convince the others to go in and have a look.
"You mean that myth about the beast confined in the mountain? Nothing but stories to scare children....humph!"
Said Liann with disdain.
"..."
Rainer didn't know much about Urius Mountain, he just wanted to convince them to visit it, but he didn't imagine there would really be a myth about it.
"In my tribe there was also a myth about that mountain..." Murmured Alisha while a sad expression covered her face.
"According to legend, a sacred beast was sealed in the mountain to protect the world from a very dangerous evil being , the beast' roars can be heard from the bottom of the mountain, or so the people who went there say."Alisha related the Urius mountain myth.
"A sacred beast sealed for the sake of the world... Do not tell me..."Whispered Rainer before noticing a great resemblance to Jehako's story!
"If the story about heroes being used as sacrifices is true, this 'sacred beast' must be the beastmen Hero!" Rainer thought while looking for a method to convince both girls to head to the mountain, after all, Xarcas would always agree with him.

When Rainer was about to speak, Alisha said something that surprised Rainer.
"Can we visit the mountain?" Asked Alisha.
"Yes, I also want to visit it!"Rainer would not miss this chance, he began to show his support for Alisha's idea.
"It's just a mountain..."

After numerous insistences, Liann ended up giving into Rainer and Alisha's request, so the group left towards the Urius mountain.
"Why do you want to go to the mountain, Alisha?" Asked Rainer, she was the first who wanted to visit the Urius mountain.
"When I was a child, my parents brought me once to receive the sacred beast's blessing... it was then when I heard a voice... a voice begging for help... " Murmured Alisha before going forward.
"A voice...that confirms my guesses even more..." He said.

An hour later, the group was at the bottom of the mountain, Rainer was surprised to see such a huge mountain!
"I thought it would only be a small hill...but this is..."
Half of the mountain was surrounded by a thick mass of clouds that made it impossible to see its summit.
"It must be higher than the Everest!" Rainer thought as they went up the path.

Jehako was right, the path had changed so a lot after so many years, Rainer was unable to locate the clues which indicated that he was near to the secret mountain entrance.
Sigh...
"There's nothing... "Rainer sighed.
"What did you expect to happen here? It's just a..!"Liann couldn't finish talking when an earthquake shook the whole mountain!
"Why now?!"
Rooooaar!!

A beast's roar sounded all over the mountain, whatever was there, it was not happy!
Crunch!
"Not again...!"Shouted Rainer as the ground cracked.
The group fell into the abyss,but before they fell, Alisha clung to Rainer.
"Aaaaaaaagghh!"

As they fell, Rainer clung to Alisha and used Scale of Doom to halt their falling speed.
Xiiiiii!
Sparks flew from the friction between the sword and the wall, but their speed did not seem to decrease!
When Rainer was able to see the ground, Lerna emerged from his Astral Gate and landed on the ground before jumping to catch Rainer and Alisha.
"Uuugh..."
Although Lerna had saved the couple, the shock was still hard enough to break some of Rainer's bones.
"Are you fine Rainer?" Alisha asked worried.
"I've been better..." He replied.

"What is this place?"
When they recovered from the fright, Alisha, who had been looking curiously at the cave, asked.
"I don't know...but nothing good, I assure you..." Said Rainer while applying a healing salve, the fall had damaged his back and broken one of his arms.
"Aren't you scared?" He asked.
"No...it's been a long time since we were alone... after we left the clan..." Said Alisha as she turned her back to Rainer.

Although this was Rainer's second life, he had never been in a love relationship since he died at a very young age, so he was not very skillful with these themes....
"I can kill someone without blinking but I can't respond to a girl's hints, I'm pathetic... "Rainer thought.
"We should look for Liann and Xarcas, or at least a way out... " Said Rainer as he inspected the cave.

Liann was unable to react when the ground split and swallowed Rainer and Alisha, when she wanted to respond, she fell next to Xarcas.
It was impossible for Liann to fly yet, and the fall had damaged her head, so she could only summon Akto to bring her back to the surface.

Liann was surprised, she was unable to summon Akto!
"I feel a very powerful spirit in this cave, nor at my best moment would I be able to defeat that creature..." Murmured Xarcas as he hid behind Liann.
"Tsk, you damned ape..." Snorted Liann after seeing Xarcas' cowardice.
"We have to find the kids first before that creature..."Said Liann as she leaned on the wall and went through the darkness.

Behind her, Xarcas closed his eyes and tried to feel his bond to Irkalia's Bracelet.
"As I supposed, there is a barrier that prevents any kind of communication, this place is sealed... "Said the ape before following Liann.
