Chapter 19: The Stars Appear In the Palm of the Hand (1)

That night, in the Punishment Battalion Camp, Lu Yin sent Xu San away. Thereafter, he once again sat on the tree outside the tent and looked up at the sky.

As time passed, the noise nearby gradually disappeared. The others stars that he could see in his pupils could no longer be seen. Only the moon was left, emitting bright rays of light. This light illuminated the night sky, and it also illuminated Lu Yin, making it so that there was nothing else in his eyes.

The energy was being absorbed into his body as if it was visible to the naked eye. In his palm, there was a faint star shining. It was the moon revolving around his palm and producing stars in the air. This was the Heavenly Star Palm.

At this moment, he could sense how terrifying the power of this star was. Although there was no comparison, Lu Yin still had the feeling that this strike of his might be able to cause even Zhou Shan to stand upright in shock.

This was the energy that he absorbed. It was not restricted by the energy crystals. It could be absorbed at any time. Furthermore, the rate at which he absorbed this energy had doubled. This was the Heavenly Star Art.

The moment Lu Yin dispersed the stars in the palm of his hand, Zhou Shan suddenly opened his eyes. In that instant, he felt a tinge of fear, but immediately after, he felt nothing.

“Looks like today’s battle was too tiring,” He said.

The next day, Lu Yin received an order from the Punishment Saint to  support the northern front lines.

Zhou Shan had always wanted to connect Jinling and the capital city, then connect it with the other six cities where the saints resided at. Together, they would all join hands to take back China. The idea was not wrong, but it was too difficult. Paving the way for a single path, it had taken the evolved men several months. Not even a tenth of the road towards the capital city was paved. The communication line had long since been cut off.

The front lines were essential to Zhou Shan. No matter how difficult it was, his focus was always on the front lines. Half of the Punishment Battalion were on the front lines, demonstrating Zhou Shan’s determination to connect Jinling to the capital

And the ones heading to the front lines this time were Lu Yin, Kang Dafeng, and Luo Yun. Luo Yun was that charming captain who always had a curious look donned on whenever she glanced at Lu Yin.

Leading ten thousand troops, Lu Yin and the other captains left Jingling and headed north.

“Rather than saying that it’s to support the front, it should be more accurate to say that it’s to fix the route,” Luo Yun said tiredly.

The ten thousand soldiers had already marched for a day. They hadn’t rested much. It was no wonder that Luo Yun would complain.

The road was bumpy, and they had to repair the vehicles from time to time.

In another armored vehicle, Lu Yin rested with his eyes closed, occasionally raising his head to look at the sky, and watching the dazzling sunlight. He didn’t know if he could simulate the movement of the sun, but once he succeeded, his speed of absorbing the star energy would increase in two folds.

However, it was not easy to simulate the sun.

Simulating the operation of the stars was a way to adapt to the operation of the universe.

Lu Yin had to keep trying.

As they passed a city, both sides of the road were covered in flames. Zombies roamed the streets, occasionally attacking the vehicles and being swept up by the soldier’s guns.

“Keep it down. There are only a few bullets!” Kang Dafeng shouted.

Suddenly, the frequency bullets ringing out decreased bit by bit.

Inside the armored vehicle, Xu San sneered. “The longer the apocalypse, the lower the use of firearms. Do we even need to use them? In a short period of time, these firearms won’t even compare to a scrap metal.”

Lu Yin looked out of the window and saw more and more zombies gathering around. He frowned dismally. “Order the men to speed up and not get surrounded by the tide of zombies. It’s a waste of time and resources.”

“Okay, Boss,” Xu San responded before walking out of the armored vehicle.

Soon, the vehicles sped up.

Lu Yin had defeated Zhao Yu. He held a very high position amongst the captains. Kang Dafeng and Luo Yun did not dare to refute him.

Speaking of Zhao Yu, Lu Yin truly admired her. She actually dared to cross the dangerous region by herself and even arrived at Jinling safely. Not everyone had this kind of courage.

Not long after, the vehicles stopped. The road in front of them had been destroyed. The troops were rushing to repair it.

Lu Yin closed his eyes. His fingers drummed in the air, rotating from time to time, and imitating the trajectory of the stars.
