A black shadow flashed along the treetops, jumping with lightning quick speed into the air before landing on a tank that was at the near the circle. While he was in the air an unknown amount of bullets pierced his body and blood spurted out like crazy. However, it was as if that silhouette could not feel the pain at all, and kneeling on top of the tank it savagely sent a punch downwards.

Those five fingers were like sharp knives, and were perhaps even sharper than knives, with a terrifying power and sharpness. They quickly pierced through the titanium roof of the car, and amidst an earth-shattering howl, the black shadow covered in blood tore through the tank’s roof, it’s sharp claws swiftly and violently catching a man in the car. And in an instant, blood arched through the air as the body it caught lost its human shape. At the same time concentrated gunfire reached the black shadow, directly tearing it to pieces.

Li Xin’s mouth widened as she looked at the images that had flashed past the screen, the hand holding the comm device trembling nonstop. That… what exactly was that thing? How cruel, how great their strength.

Qi Mo had a gloomy face, and seeing Li Xin trembling, couldn’t resist pressing her shoulders. He ordered, “Exterminate them all.”

After he gave that order, the gunfire got even fiercer. The gunpowder on the three aircrafts were made of iron, and even a small city would be flattened with nothing left, not to mention with that few people, at the end of the day no matter of perverse they were, they were still made of blood and flesh.

For a short moment all that could be seen was flames lighting up the sky, with the concentration of smaller firearms stopping as they let the big guns in. In an instant, a few shells boomed and the surrounding vegetation was completely destroyed. A greyish piece of land was directly blown up and turned into scorched earth; now nothing could hide itself anymore.

Seeing that Li Hu immediately let out a breath of relief. That scene just now was simply too shocking; the body figure was one of a human alright, however that terrifying ability to resist and that strength was just way too scary. What’s this really a human that had mutated  after getting contaminated by technetium? If this territory was theirs, then things would become complicated. That incredibly valiant ability was exactly like a wild beast’s, and wasn’t something an ordinary human could take on.

Qi Mo stared at the scene before him, commanding sternly, “Everybody get fully armed.”

“Overlord, our situation…” Black Falcon was talking halfway when communication was suddenly cut. Li Xin instantly cried ’not good’ in her heart as she shouted repeatedly, “Black Falcon, Black Falcon, reply, reply,” As her hands danced across the keyboard.

“Calm down.” The moment Qi Mo saw Li Xin’s hands trembling as they typed, he squeezed her shoulders.

Li Xin took a deep breath and didn’t answer Qi Mo, just repeatedly trying to contact Black Falcon. ‘Calm down’. It was easy to say, hard to do, however right now all she could do was to calm herself. She had to calm herself, and could only calm herself.

“No signal, the signal at Black Falcon’s side is completely cut.”  They couldn’t contact Black Falcon, and not even his subordinates could be contacted. Li Xin’s face turned ugly too as she quickly answered.

When Qi Mo heard, his face paled with rage as he growled, “Try again.”

She bit her lips, trying once again to contact Black Falcon, but all the communication device transmitted over was the sound of static. No signal, they couldn’t find Black Falcon’s signal. Tightly clenching her fists, Li Xin looked up at Qi Mo and shook her head. No signal, and  together with fierce battle just now, the hidden implication there did not need any words to be understood.

“Overlord, what happened to Black Falcon?” White Falcon who was constantly in contact with them had heard the commotion and couldn’t help asking while he dealt with his own situation.

“Do your own thing,” Qi Mo shouted, and White Falcon hurriedly agreed. As he pondered, an icy gleam flashed across Qi Mo’s eyes as he coldly said, “Withdrawal granted.”

Near him, the moment Li Hu heard Qi Mo give such an order, he surprisedly turned his head around, then silently turned back without saying anything. Withdraw was never one of the commands Qi Mo would give. Or rather, at least they never withdrew in this manner. There was only forward and never retreat. While it was true the places they went never could resist them, he never thought that today would be the day they had to withdraw.

“Okay.” White Falcon’s voice froze for a second, but still quickly answered.

Silence. After the fierce round of firing just now, the dark night was completely silent, with wind blowing past the only sound remaining, as well as earth that had been burnt black.

“Let’s go.” Qi Mo glanced at the scorched earth as he ordered darkly.

Li Xin hadn’t managed to realise what Qi Mo meant when she saw Li Hu pass a string of commands down, and then saw the three planes being surrounded in the center quickly open its holding space. The tanks rolled slowly and orderly inside, and the personnel all packed up as they moved the equipment back into the space.

Looking at the holding space opening, Li Xin didn’t need a reminder to realise what Qi Mo meant. She hit the steering wheel and slowly reversed the communication vehicle into the holding space.

It was quiet and orderly, while outside it was as if those mutated humans knew they had met their match and didn’t continue raiding. All the personnel quickly retreated into the cabins, and amidst deafening engine roars, the three planes lifted into the air and flew towards the east.

Li Xin got out of the communication vehicle, and seeing that the plane wasn’t flying towards Cape of Good Hope, instead towards the east, she asked Li Hu, “Are we going to find Black Falcon?”

He nodded, his face stern as he replied, “Hope we’re not too late.”

As the two places were not too far away(of course, this was if they were going by plane), in just a few minutes they reached the airspace above Black Falcon’s location.

Tofu – this ( ) is official text. not me being extra.

Through the plane’s window, Li Xin saw that the area below them had patches of fire everywhere, scorched trees visible even up in the air, overturned tanks, a communication vehicle basically smashed to pieces, as well as the skeletal remains of two planes. This sight made Qi Mo’s brows crease even more badly.

“Descend.” Looking at the plane just circling in the air, Qi Mo immediately ordered.

“Overlord, this area isn’t good for landing ah. The planes below are completely occupying the space and there’s no place for us to land.” The men piloting the plane earnestly said.

Li Xin glanced at the ground and saw that although this place wasn’t too far from their previous location, the environment was completely different. The trees all grew weirdly, and even the huge nose of the plane was half their size. It was as if the radiation didn’t harm them and instead nourished them. They were all so tall and thick that it was frightening.

Qi Mo’s face sank when he heard, and taking two steps forward, he lifted that pilot up, personally sitting down in that pilot seat. The plane immediately spun one round before descending down into the only open space left below.

Intrepid, one couldn’t not talk about Qi Mo’s intrepidness. The only little gap had been forced open wider by Qi Mo to allow for the plane to land. As there was no other space open for them, the other two planes could only continue circling in the air, their lights switching on and shining down on the dense forest below, lighting it up for Qi Mo.

Everyone was fully armed, and even Qi Mo was holding the latest weapon. Seeing him Li Xin gritted her teeth before taking the gun Li Hu had passed over. If even a plane could be torn to pieces like that, then waiting up here wouldn’t be safe either.

“Walk in front of me.” Qi Mo told her in a chilly tone. Li Xin didn’t dawdle when she heard either, and slowly opened the cabin doors before walking down. She understood that she was walking in front of him so that he could see her and protect. If she walked behind him, when danger came Qi Mo wouldn’t necessarily be able to see it, and with the opponent this time being so difficult to deal with, this would be fatal.

Alighting the plane, the smell that swarmed towards her made Li Xin frown slightly. There was blood and flickering flames everywhere she looked, and as she stared, fixated, looking at the bodies that had been torn apart, that could not be pieced whole ever again, and that land that had been died blood red, the horrific scene instantly made a shiver run through her body.

Following behind Li Xin, Qi Mo’s face had reached a never seen before height of ugliness. He stuck close to her, glowering, “Walk forwards.”

How could Li Xin have ever witnessed a scene like this before? Suddenly encountering such a situation, even if she had already prepared herself prior, her legs still couldn’t help but soften. When she heard Qi Mo’s voice, she gritted her teeth as she slowly walked forward, the warm breath coming from behind comforting her.

Silence, a silence that made one feel terrified. Tens of people on and below the plane all silently searched and created an air of suffocating solemnity. Looking at their former partners meet their ends here in such a manner where they didn’t even have a complete corpse, while sad, what they felt even stronger was a kind of unspeakable horror.

“What shocking destructive capabilities.” Qi Mo glanced at the thick tree trunks lying on the ground. The place it was cut had obvious claw marks that made his face even grimmer.

“Any traces?” Li Hu asked.

“None.”

“Nothing.”

Voice all replying negative came back. Li Hu had asked very vaguely, however everyone knew he was asking whether or not Black Falcon’s corpse had been found.

“En… en…” Suddenly, an extremely extremely soft voice floated over, however in sea of silence it sounded especially loud and clear, and Qi Mo and the others all immediately turned their heads around to look.

A black face that one couldn’t see the original appearance of appeared, their arm having been literally torn off and was bleeding nonstop. It was obvious that they were breathing out more air than they were taking in, and that this person was only left with a breathe of life.

“What direction did Black Falcon go in?” Qi Mo brought Li Xin with him as he took big strides over to the man, squatting down to question him.

That person used all his strength to open his eyes. The moment he saw Qi Mo, he hoarsely mumbled, “I don’t… know, here…”

“Is it a group of humanoid creatures who killed all of you? How many of them?” Seeing that the person before them couldn’t insist much longer, Li Hu didn’t waste time, just going straight to the point.

“Yes, a few… hundred… we… aren’t… their opponents… very… terrifying…”

The moment Qi Mo, Li Xin, Li Hu and the others heard, they all couldn’t help falling silent. On their side, only around twenty had appeared, and even under the conditions of there being no huge trees in their surroundings, they had only managed to destroy one person. It was already so hard to kill them then, while so many came here, no wonder they would be so completely destroyed.

“How long did you…”Qi Mo hadn’t finished asking when the man’s eyes closed, his last breath leaving him. When he saw that, Qi Mo stopped talking.

When the people who were following Qi Mo heard, their hearts grew cold. If it were them here instead, who knew if they would also become like that. Looking at the sad scene in front of them, everyone felt stifled.

“Anything?” Qi Mo suddenly shouted the moment he stood up.

“No.” No Black Falcon’s corpse.

“How many people?” Qi Mo’s eyes were full of bloodthirsty killing intent. Black Falcon was a person who had followed him for many years, a subordinate he had personally groomed. If Black Falcon really died here, then he would absolutely flatten this land.

“A total of 131 people. 17 people are still missing, including Black Falcon.” After a short moment of calculation, everyone quickly reported the numbers. Although the bodies weren’t wall hole, they still had their own way of getting the numbers .

Li Hu and Li Xin immediately raised their heads. When their eyes met, it revealed a thread of hope. As long as one could escape, who knew, perhaps they could be okay.

“The opposition has 175 people.” Immediately after the report came out, Qi Mo’s brows sank.

Li Xin looked over when she heard. Not too far from her was a corpse, and after the light shined over, she finally found out what they looked like.

It was a person completely peppered in bullet holes, and over 2 metres tall. Their chest was bare, dressed only in an animal skin that was wrapped around their waist. Their five fingers were akin to the claws of leopards and other vicious animals, long and blackened, glimmering sharply under the light of fires, while their feet were similar too, and though not as long as their hands’, were even sharper.

Those firm muscles looked ridiculously full of power, and were also scarily thick. Their entire body was covered in a layer of thick hair, and their five apertures were definitely ones of a human’s, except they were exaggerated, as if someone had photoshopped their features a size bigger.

Li Xin looked at the body that she didn’t know whether to call an aboriginal’s, or a mutated human’s. Just as she was about to look away, she saw a tiny communication device lying next to the body, and she instantly froze. If she wasn’t mistaken, that should be Black Falcon’s because it had a unique mark. Li Hu modified this type of communication device so that with it, not only could one communicate, one could also record. After the signal broke, the words that Black Falcon said were definitely recorded in it. Li Xin quickly stood up.

Looking at the people standing in a circle, then again at the communication device that was less than 2 steps away, Li Xin looked up, and when she saw se Qi Mo giving orders to the others, she quickly stepped forward. Under the protection of so many people, there definitely wouldn’t be any problems with such a short distance between her and the object. Li Xin herself was also alert and only took action after clearly checking out her surroundings. That was the way she did things.

Taking two steps forward, she bent her waist and was about to pick the communication device up when behind her Qi Mo seemed to sense her movement and turned around immediately, asking coldly, “What are you doings?” While reaching over to grab her.

She answered, “Black Falcon’s comm device.” When the people near her heard her words, they all immediately turned towards at her with hope glimmering in their eyes. With something that seemed like it could provide an explanation as to what happened previously, and the thing even belonging to Black Falcon at that, everyone’s expressions grew more alert.

Just as she stopped talking, beside her, the aboriginal peppered in bullet wounds suddenly moved. His eyes whooshed open, and the moment Li Xin saw that she cried ‘not good’ in her heart, instinctively retreating before she had the time to say anything. The moment she opened her mouth she wanted to scream.

In only a split second, before her body could react, the aboriginal suddenly acted, propping its upper body up as quick as lightning to grab Li Xin’s elbow. With a powerful toss he threw her in the opposite direction.

At this moment, Li Xin was finally able to spit out, “It’s alive.”

Just before everything happened, Qi Mo was originally about to pounce towards Li Xin as he was the closest to her. The moment things changed he didn’t have time to think and just reached his hand out to try grab her. All that was heard was a ‘ssss’ sound, and as a part of the thick anti-radiation suit Li Xin was wearing was torn off by Qi Mo, yet she was still flying over the heads of everybody and towards an unburnt part of the forest.

In mid air, Li Xin didn’t have time to think, just throwing the communication device she’d just grabbed over in the direction where Qi Mo and the rest were as she continued flying uncontrollably.

When Qi Mo saw that his quick grab actually didn’t manage to catch Li Xin and instead just experienced how powerful even a random toss with the claws of the aboriginal was, his feet instantly repositioned. With one hand pressing the shoulders of Li Hu, who was blocking his way, he borrowed the momentum to leap over the heads of everybody, chasing after Li Xin.

Everything happened in only a split second and Li Hu and the others all finally managed to reacted. Aiming their firearms at the half-dead aboriginal, who was laying on the ground unable to stand up, they all fired at the same time, and before he could even struggle further he was split into two by Li Hu.

At the same time, the subordinates who were originally supposed to be standing in a circle all ran in Qi Mo’s direction.

Li Xin, who was after all not an ordinary person, even if she couldn’t squeeze into Qi Mo’s inner circle and didn’t have as stable or as great of an ability to control her entire body, still knew when she absolutely had to stay calm. The moment she felt herself in the air, she was able to extremely calmly look below her at the ground. Quickly curling her body up , she prepared herself for the incoming impact were she to bump into either a branch or fall onto the ground.

Li Xin felt herself falling down and as the branches brushed past her body, she reflexively reach out to grab them. After bouncing off two branches she felt her body finally stop and instantly let it a breath of relief as she held on to the branch, hanging suspended in the air.

Before she could let out a breath of relief, a pair of green eyes on the forest floor glimmered, making Li Xin’s heart instantly grow cold. That was an aboriginal, that was an aboriginal .

“Qi Mo!” A shocked cry escaped her mouth. The moment her eyes met those shiny green ones, Li Xin immediately thought of shouting two words: Qi Mo. The aboriginal reached up at a branch, his body quickly bounding towards her and reached the branch in front of her eyes in an instant. Li Xin, at this moment, while feeling as if her heart was going to jump out, was still keeping eerily calm, and the moment she saw the aboriginal jumping over she loosened her grip, hoping to head in its opposite direction.

When the aboriginal saw Li Xin falling, he jumped, changing his direction and headed for Li Xin. When Qi Mo arrived and saw this sight, he aimed and fired a shot at the aboriginal as he stepped on the fallen tree trunk near him and jumped over, reaching out towards the falling Li Xin.

The shot sounded, and blood immediately spurted out from the aboriginal’s shoulders as an entire arm fell off. As Li Xin’s falling figure just happened to block the aboriginal’s critical point, in order to avoid harming her

Qi Mo could only adjust his aim slightly and shoot at his shoulder.

A cut off shoulder wasn’t able to stop aboriginal ’s savagery, and instead made him react even more viciously. In mid air  he grabbed Li Xin, who was about to land on the ground, and used his falling momentum to aim a kick at Qi Mo, who was below him.

“Ahh, Qi Mo, save me!” Her collar suddenly tightened, and when she felt that powerful strength lifting her up and looked at the figure behind her suddenly flying upwards, Li Xin couldn’t help shouting out in surprise.

At the same time the accessory on her ring finger shot towards the aboriginal; life or death only took an instant to happen, while when right before the gates of hell, Li Xin’s head was still unexpectedly clear.

However the aboriginal’s arms were long and his strength was great; the moment she turned, if it were an ordinary person they would’ve definitely been stabbed, but all Li Xin managed to stab was empty space. Li Xin had used all her might to stab forward, however it was all futile effort. Her collar was caught by the aboriginal and was pushed forwards, away from the aboriginal’s body.

When Qi Mo saw that he was a step too late and that that aboriginal’s feet were already kicking towards him as quick as lightning, he quickly moved, pushing on the tree next to him as he moved away from that powerful attack. The thick branch instantly started breaking into pieces.

The moment Qi Mo landed on the ground and heard Li Xin’s cries sounding from above him, his eyes darkened. When he saw the aboriginal patting a branch near him and instantly change his landing position, running deeper into the forest, his face grew scarily cold, and clenching his fists he didn’t say anything, continuing to pursue the two.

Finally arriving was Li Hu and the rest of his subordinates, but all the moment they saw Qi Mo’s figure faintly flicker before disappearing, as well as heard Li Xin’s sharp cries, which were getting farther and farther, their faces turned as white as paper.
