From what David could see with his soul perception, the explosion had leveled the area surrounding the demigod's home. The nearby homes and buildings were torn apart with debris scattered throughout the town.

"Misery, I killed a Demigod and a fucking crazy explosion happened. Tell everyone to start the plan immediately. There will be no surprise, but everyone should still stick to the original plan. I'll see them all in an hour," David told the woman through their mental link.

"I will tell them right way," Misery responded.

David stood up. He removed his bag of goodies and placed them under Mr. Harver's desk next to the little green orb he used to protect his surroundings. He would come back to get them later.

After he situated his stuff, he ran to the building's supply room. He had noticed a few things he needed in the room by using his soul perception. Upon entering, he removed two daggers and a tunic from the supply rack. The daggers looked a little decorative with a few jewels embedded into the handle, but David could tell that the craftsmanship was good. The daggers came with a belt that held two sheaths. Inspecting the high quality, he guessed that he should be able to use these to fight against another demigod.

Not long after David finished preparing himself, he began to hear movement from the building below.

He shifted his soul perception to see what was happening.

The men were starting to come out of the mines. Also, the residents and guards in the town were starting to go crazy. The town was in complete chaos. They didn't know what was happening but assumed it was a demon attack...even though they weren't as worried anymore...they still hadn't forgotten the past events.

All of a sudden, three men came bursting into the supply room. It was the young man, Nathan, and his two friends.

"This supply room has some good stuff. It should have enough weapons for the men. Pack them up and get back to the mines," David instructed.

"Thanks, Mr. Night," Nathan said as he went for the big sacks on one of the racks and began loading items.

"If you can manage, pick up some other supplies too. Bedding, toiletries...or other random stuff that can be helpful. Bag it up In some of these extra bags and bring it to the main chamber...no one should head down that tunnel in retreat without some supplies," David said before turning and walking out of the room.

Since he was now ready to go, David circulated his energy...and blended into the shadows and dropped his life signs. Then he began moving.

He had a few locations he wanted to investigate...these were mostly the areas that his soul sense couldn't see through. He only had 55 minutes left and he still needed to try to deal with the two remaining Demigods.

Moving down a street, it only took David a few seconds before he found one of the locations. This location was in a building that was frequented throughout the day by several important men. Hoping he had found the bank, David appeared at the building's entrance. There were several guards at the entrance protecting the facility.

David moved behind one of them and plunged his knives into the man's neck and chest. In knife skills, hitting two vital areas at the same time was always beneficial.

Using actual knives again, David couldn't help but think about Mr. Lester and Karine Carmine. It had only been a little over 5 months since he came to The Other as a slave....now he was leading a small town rebellion.

With a grin on his face, he pulled the knives free and rammed one into the chest of a guard that just turned around. His two attacks were done in under a second.

All of a sudden, David heard a swishing sound coming from above.

Thinking that one of the other two Demigods had already found him and launched an surprise attack, David dropped back and brought his knives up in a guard.

With a boom, the two remaining guards were annihilated. One guard was smashed into the ground with blood and guts squishing out onto the ground. The other guard had his body severed into two pieces by a sword.

David instantly heard a sweet sounding laughter of a woman.

Looking up he saw a winged Misery killing herself laughing in front of him. The blood that flowed out of the bodies was flowing towards her feet like it had a mind of its own.

"Damn, Misery," David said, "You already killed enough people to form wings? How many people have you killed already?"

Not answering the questions, Misery just held her stomach and laughed, "You looked so scared for a second there...ha ha ha.."

David just stared at her kind of pissed off.

Misery must have noticed the look because she quickly changed the subject and asked, "What's inside the building?"

"Don't know. Let's find out," David said as he kicked the door open to relieve some of his anger from being laughed at by Misery. Almost immediately after kicking the door open, David felt something hit him hard in the shoulder.

"Fuck," David said as he realized that he was just impaled by an arrow. That's what happens when he angrily kicks a door open to somewhere he can't use soul perception to look inside.

'Idiot,' David thought about himself as he heard another swoosh as Misery flew through the door toward the threat.

Not shying away, David spun around and went into the room right behind Misery. He had an arrow sticking out of his shoulder, but the injury wasn't that bad.

Entering the room, David saw Misery pulling her sword out of a fat man's neck. Blood spraying everywhere. There was even a small crossbow still clenched in the man's hands. Two of its arrows were lodged in Misery's chest.

"Misery, you alright?," David asked with concern in his voice.

"Sure, why wouldn't I be?," Misery responded as the blood from the man's neck swam towards her.

"Oh....," she said looking at the arrows sticking out her body before reaching down and pulling them both free. The two holes in her body closed in as the fresh blood was absorbed from the ground.

Looking around, David realized the kind of place that he was in.....a brothel. The blocking of soul sense must be used to keep people from spying on what goes inside the brothel.

Somewhat disappointed that this building wasn't the treasure room of a bank.....David looked around to see about 20 slave women dressed in skimpy clothes coming out of the side rooms.

A few of the women were followed by half dressed men. Upon seeing the lust filled men come out behind the slave women, Misery quickly darted over and butchered them all. She seemed to really enjoy those kills too...and relished in absorbing the blood.

The Ker technique had said that the violence of a Ker is influenced by the trauma they had when alive....Misery was a slave woman that had been raped by her captors....she would show her most violent side during situations like this brothel.

Trying to keep the slave women from panicking after witnessing Misery's savagery, David decided to yell out some information quickly.

"This is a slave revolt. I can remove your collars! If you want to escape with the others, you can leave now and head toward the mines...my friend Misery will lead the way for you to get to safety," David said at the top of his lungs...Misery looked scary as hell...so David emphasized the word 'friend' hard.

"Let me take off your collars," he followed ip with again while stepping forward....he was trying to calm the women down.

"Sir, you have an arrow in your shoulder," one of the women said as he got near her.

"Oh.....Misery, help me get this out...push it through for me," David said as he looked at the arrow sticking out of his body.

Misery walked over and grabbed a hold of the arrow. With a push, the arrow popped out of David's back and he let out a moan. Misery broke the ends of the arrow and pulled it out.

David focused in for a second on his Body of Recovery and the wound began to close up and heal. David pulled a nourishment stone out of his pocket and started absorbing. His Body of Recovery was working in full force to heal the wound. After a few seconds, the stone crumbled and David was completely healed.

David also began to realize that he needed to take better care of himself....especially when entering unknown locations.

"Okay....who's ready to get their collar off?," David said while looking at the waiting women.

After about 10 minutes, the group of women had their collars removed. David told them to gather whatever possessions and supplies they could....he actually said that pillows and blankets wouldn't be bad to carry along....these women weren't used to carrying heavy things or sleeping on the hard floors of the tunnels....they had 15 minutes to get ready and leave...After they were done, Misery was going to lead them to the mine chamber to escape. They were hesitant about following Misery at first, but quickly lost their concern....when Misery caringly began to ask the women if they were alright and help them gather their things.

Once the group of women had started working on their tasks, David reached out with his soul perception. He needed to see how things were moving along in the oasis town.

The situation actually looked like everything was going decently. It had only been a little over 15 minutes since the demigod exploded.

Wanting to get a good update, David actually spent a few minutes observing the town with his soul perception. Slaves were getting set free everywhere. Some slaves and guards were dead. Looting was going really good. The three Greenland brothers had completely dismembered Mr. Gravel's body and were currently deactivating slave disks like crazy. Groups were gathering food and supplies all over. Everything seemed to be on track.

When he had scanned the entire town, he had noticed one of the Demigods. Only one....the other one didn't seem to be present. The one he had observed was by himself so it would be much easier. The smaller sized man was also busy inspecting the wreckage from the explosion of the other demigod. David thought this was a perfect opportunity to sneak attack the man. He blended back into the shadows and started moving toward the location on the other side of town..

"Misery, I am heading across town to engage in battle with the a demigod. The other Demigod is missing. Tell Omar that if I am not in the chamber when the hour is up....destroy the tunnel and proceed forward with the rest of the plan. Once you are done telling him, come back to give me a hand," David instructed.....he had completely forgotten about the communication stone he had given the other guys....his was in the bag under the desk in Mr. Harver's office...David was too frantic to remember to take the stone along.

What should have been a few seconds travel, turned into about ten minutes travel. David had to stop on the way to help a group of food gatherers that were being attacked by a leftover guard. David made short work of the guard before sending the three men back along their way. However, the whole ordeal delayed his path towards the Demigod.

After a few more minutes of moving, David arrived near the Demigod. The devastation near the epicenter of the explosion was intense. The Demigod appeared to be frantically looking around for the other demigod that David killed. For some reason, the man thought the other Demigod was still alive and buried under the wreckage of the building.....he didn't seem to know that the guy was dead.

Seeing that the Demigod was distracted, David crept up behind the man. David was focusing all his effort to stay deep in the shadows with all his life signed hidden.

The rubble filled area was flickering with flame. David couldn't keep himself from remembering an explosion scene he had once witnessed. A flash of anger went through him and he suddenly moved forward to attack.

Both of David's knives penetrated the back of the Demigod that was standing in the rubble.
