"We have more people asking to be rescued now," Jinpok commented as he saw smoke rising from far across the land. Hectos replied as he stood next to Jinpok.
"We have survivors who are sharing their testimonies of being rescued. That must give them more reassurance that we are safe."
Joonbum smiled.
"We also eradicated those monsters in front of their eyes. Of course they will trust us."
"Your Majesty. Shall we start the attack?"
A soldier came to ask and Joonbum nodded. Soon, heavy artillery rained down upon the forest and monsters began pouring out to attack in retaliation. However, the heavy gunfire easily eradicated those monsters.
With the continued excavations, Khalodian uncovered many of Earth's old civilization goods that could be sold at high prices in the auction house.
"There are Amon!"
"What is that?!"
Amon, or monkey-like monsters, came out of the forest to attack, and with them were other monsters that looked very different.
"That's a werewolf!"
"Is that a gnoll?"
"That one's a bird!"
There were also monsters that looked like half-bird and half-human. The army, however, fired without any mercy against any monsters.
"Hold your fire!"
And soon the monsters were all wiped out.
"Don't forget to check to see if they are all dead! Remember to be careful!"
"Yes, sir!"
The soldiers then began sweeping through the monster corpses, cautiously firing their guns at each corpse's head. Suddenly, a certain monster jumped up from feigning death and attacked.
"Be careful!"
The monster bellowed as it charged at the soldiers, but suddenly a giant axe flew at it from somewhere else and cleaved the monster into two. Everyone was shocked as they jumped back and turned to the giant man who threw it.
"C-commander Jinpok!"
"Commander!"
And soon, the officer-in-charge quickly ran up to Jinpok.
"Commander. You can't do that here!"
"Huh?"
Jinpok frowned but the officer quickly explained, "I'm sorry to say this, but you are getting in the way of our team."
"What?!"
Jinpok grimaced and the air turned cold.
"Hey, you are giving them a hard time. Just come back."
"I know you want to have some fun, but let's not put our soldiers in danger because of it, alright?"
"Ugh."
Joonbum and Doral came up to Jinpok to berate him as he sighed. It was a common sight that the soldiers were now very used to. And this was also one of the reasons why Khalodian was the strongest of all.
With the Emperor and Commander on the battlefield, there was no fear in the army. And when it was needed, even the highest ranking commander would step back for the greater good of the army.
"Check the bodies and bring in the merchants to process them!"
Some men then began working on the bodies of the dead monsters. Given the appropiate treatment, monsters were a good source of meat and leather.
