As a lion and a warrior walk into the area, the crowd goes wild. "Panthera! Panthera! Panthera!" The Knight looked out and saw hundreds and hundreds of beastmen in seats surrounding the arena. Then the knight looked down and saw five prisoners staring at him.
The first prisoner on the far left was the only feline variant. She wore a brown tunic with a rope belt over her orange colored fur body. The two middle beastmen were canine beastmen. They each wore a brown tunic also. Both of them had dark grey fur and had scars up and down their arms. The left middle guy was an inch taller and had sharper claws. The guy on the far right was a bear variant. He was a pudgy beastman with big palmed hands. He wore a grey tunic and sported long brown matted fur. The last prisoner in the back was canine variant twice the size and almost a head taller than the rest. He had a distinguished scar over his eye and looked to be the strongest beastman.
"This so-called Panthera Knight going to taste me Iron Reaper," said the left middle Prisoner licking his claw.
"I think I am going to eat his pet raw," laughed the bear beastman.
"Come here kitty kitty kitty." The female beastman taunted Preaza.
Ignoring the prisoners, Leo looked over at Preaza. She smiled a look that he understood. Kill or be killed. Leo looked at the men and knew he had to defeat them.
"Sir, there are four Mana Fighters warriors and one Core Building warrior."
"Preaza you take the big one in the back. I will handle the four in the front." The mama cat understood and just nodded.
"Now that my champions are ready. GET READY EVERYONE! BEGIN THE BATTLE!!!"
The five beastmen divided up. The first one to reach Leo was feline variant using Shadow Walk. Holding the metal ball in one hand and the mace in the other, Leo decided to take the battle to them.
"Rock Shot!" The feline prisoner had a large boulder fired at her, but she used a Shadow Strike to destroy it. Leo followed the rock, and while she was defending against it, he smashed his mace against her skull.
The beastman was flung into the wall bleeding from her head. She didn't get back up.
The other three Mana Fighters wasted no time and surrounded Leo. "Iron reaper!" two of them yelled. They lunged at Leo.
"Rock Stomp." Two rock was lifted from the ground and collided with the incoming claws. The stones shattered and dust covered the three of them.
Meanwhile, Preaza was using her Metal Claw to battle the Core Builder's own Steel Reaper. The two of them were about equal in strength.
The third prisoner battling Leo jumped into the cloud and used "Paw Strike." The hit didn't land, but the shockwave cleared the dust.
Leo jumped back and reassessed the situation. Luckily Sprite warned him of the incoming strike, or he would be a pancake right now.
Thinking about last night, Leo came up with an idea. He knelt and scooped pebbles into the shaft of his mace.
This was a battle, not a playground. Leo act angered the prisoners, so they charged and attacked him.
Leo threw the mace at the bear variants face. He wasn't expecting it, and it launched him backward. "Earth Control." Using Earth Control in a combination of the law of metals he touched upon last night. Leo recalled the mace to his hand in time to block an Iron Reaper.
The bracer blocked the other Iron Reaper. The beastman's nails tore through the shabby metal, and Leo was bleeding a bit.
"Rock Shot." From behind Leo he launched a rock at the beastman clawing into his forearm and nailed him in the head. The impact knocked the prisoner clean out.
The other canine beastman jumped back and regrouped with the bear variant.
"This cat knight knows earth law moves. I will use my paw strike to clear a path, but you need to finish him off." The other prisoner nodded. They ran at Leo in a single file.
Seeing this, Preaza bit the beastman's Steel Reaper. She took damage, but she tossed the prisoner into the other two. This caught the canine variant off guard in the back. The Core Builder hit him and tumbled. The bear variant just got out of the way.
Seeing the prisoners distracted, Leo ran up and clobbered the beastman. The bear variant went down after having its skull bashed.
The Core Building variant pushed the other off of him. A menacing glare came from the beastmen towards the Panthera Beast and Knight. "Beastman Art: Canine Release." Similar to the feline release it burns the life force and increases strength.
The beastman blasted forward will unbelievable speed. Even without a movement technique, he was way faster than the feline prisoner using Shadow Walk.
"Steel Reaper." The Core Builder lunged at the lion.
"Rock Shot." A boulder flew at him, and the beastman diverted his claw to block it.
Preaza didn't let this go by without striking. She used her Metal Claw to piece the beastman's gut. The beastman spun away from it, but his abdomen was ripped open.
Bleeding profusely and using one hand to hold his organs inside. The Core Builder stumbled forward. "I am a proud warrior. How can I die to a beast?"
The lion's intuition told her that she was being mocked. She emerged behind beastman and snapped off his head. Preaza spits the head onto the dirt. The headless corpse still moved forward for a second till it toppled over.
The final prisoner looked over in fear. These two just killed all four of his cellmates. Even a Core Builder died. The beastman ran backward and started banging on his gate.
"let me out. I don't want to die."
The Collector looked down and flicked his finger. Using the law of space, he grabbed the beastman's neck and snapped it. The beastman crumpled to the ground.
"My champions, Panthera Knight and Beast have won! Give them a round of applause." The Collector spoke out.
The gate that Leo entered opened once again. The guard standing there motioned him in. Once the human and lion walked into the hallway, the gates shut and the cheers from the crowd became muffled.
"You will return to your cage. Food will be brought shortly. Well fought Knight." The beastman escorted them to their cage and locked it.
Leo put down his mace and helped Preaza take her armor off. By the time he was taking his armor off, the guard had returned with a bucket of food and a bucket of water. He placed them in the room and then made his exit.
Leo ate some meat and gave the rest to Preaza. He shared the water then washed up. He cleaned his wound. The mama lion was worried and licked the wound clean for him. He then wrapped his arm and sat down to meditate.
Preaza laid down nearby to recover. Leo finally recovered and recharged his metal orb. Looking over at his mace, he started to train moving it with Earth Control.
Leo trained late into the knight to get the hang of it. Using rocks and dirt in the mace, made moving the metal weapon a lot easier.
Leo went to bed exhausted. He awoke the next morning by the guard banging on his cell. Get up knight your next battle will be in a few hours. Prepare yourself."
"WHy should I prepare myself?"
"You are fighting another champion, Ursus the White because the Collector wants to see how you will do against another beast. Smiling the guard walked away.
"Sir, I believe we will be fighting a bear beast today, and by the guard's voice patterns it must be strong."
"Doesn't matter Sprite. Preaza and I don't have a choice. We have to win to survive."
