"Winged human join up with me to kill the other three." Unit 4002 asked the human.
"As long as you let me fight the primitive human. I want to see what a wingless human can do."
"That is fine. I will fight the orange lizard woman and the fish man."
The winged human started channeling mana. His sword began to glow. "Light Cube."
A thin light box formed around Leo. "Sir, you have been locked in place by the law of light."
Leo concentrated his mana into his fist and punched the wall. It didn't even budge.
"Ha, is this all you have primitive ape?"
Leo smiled at him. If that winged idiot thinks this would stop him, he is dead wrong. "Earth Control." Outside of the of the prism, three large stones shot towards the angel-man.
"Adam's Sword Art: Holy Strike." Light mana was released from the sword in a waved arch destroying the three rocks headed towards him. The wave continued and struck the ground causing dust to fly up. The winged man flew up to escape the dirty cloud.
"Silver Fur!" The fur on Unit 4002 started to shiny and fur all over his body solidified into metal. "Mana Claws!" Striking the air with his claw, two blasts of mana raced towards Itmen and the merman.
The mermanian activated a water art barrier and blocked the attack. While Itmen used a movement technique to dodge the attack, she closed the distance between her and the beastman.
The draconian felt that it was beneath her to team up with another creature, but being forced into this situation, she would take advantage of it. "Dragon Art: Salamander's Flame." A small jetstream of fire was shot out at the beastman.
Unit 4002 crossed his arms and withstood the flames with his steel fur defense. Then a barrage of Mermanian Art Icicles crashed into the Beastman's back. The attack pushed the beastman forward making him land on all four.
The embarrassment of a prince being forced to bow to these prisoners angered him. "Beastman Art: Werebeast Transformation." This move was given to promising beastmen that would lead in the future. It taps into the beastman's animal DNA and increases it with mana. It transforms the beastman into a creature more beast than man.
Unit 4002's jaw became more elongated, and his teeth grew larger. His muscles and bones increased in size. At this moment he looked like the mythical werewolf known on earth. "GRRrrrrr," snarled the beastman.
Bending down the beastman launched towards the mermanian. He used a steel reaper and broke through the mermarian's barrier and slashed off the creature's arm. He tried to follow up, but was met will an ice wall deterring him following up with a second steel reaper.
The mermanian activated a water sphere at his shoulder to heal his wound. If looks could kill, then the stare he was giving the beastman would have killed him ten times over. The wound healed up leaving a tiny stump there.
"Ascending Sun." Leo shattered the prism and jumped up. He flew up through the dust and appeared above the winged man. Channeling mana into the mace, he activated a Descending Moon. The man blocked it with his sword but was forced to the ground.
"I am Zophielo, a true son of Adam. I will not let a monkey like you disgrace me any further." A bright light started to gather around Zophielo and his sword. "Holy feathers!" A torrent of feathers flew at Leo. The mana covered feathers shredded Leo and his armor. Many areas on Leo's body where the armor wasn't located, wounds started to appear and bleeding profusely.
Leo landed on the ground breathing heavily and bleeding. Looking around, he realized he lost track of the Zophielo.
The winged man came directly above and slashed at Leo. "Sir, the man is above you." Leo punched the ground causing Rock Shards to shoot out around him. The attack made Zophielo retreat back into the sky.
"Dragon Art: Salamander's Embrace." A pillar of flames encircled Unit 4002 and trapped him.
The beastman used a mana strike and destroyed the flames. Unit 4002 growled and used his boosted muscles to lunge at the draconian quickly. Itmen dodged the lunging claw attack.
"Dragon Art: Dragon Scales." Firery red aura scales covered her body. Using mana produced scales, she was able to block the beastman's Steel Reapers with her defense.
"Not bad draconian." Unit 4002 started to pull in mana. He wasn't going to let either of his opponents catch him off guard again. Seeing the mermanian sneak behind him, the beastman launched a mana claw forward at Itmen and then back flipped behind the mermanian.
The mermanian couldn't defend himself in time, and a claw plunged into his chest. The mermanian couldn't even showcase its real ability being on land, and it was the weakest of the five. The feeling of having his heart crushed was the last thing he felt before collapsing over.
"Oh, our first participant has died." The Collector announced to all and the crowd cheered. "It is no surprise. Unit 4002 got the first kill. He is, after all, a beastman. Can we get a cheer for our fearless brethren."
"4002! 4002! 4002!" The crowd kept celebrating.
Meanwhile, the participants were still fighting. Leo looked at the flying man and knew he had to get the human in close to take him down. Leo then figured to get the man to engage in close combat he would have to provoke him.
"Hey bird-man, you are waste of a human and bring disgrace to Adam." Leo didn't know who Adam was, but by Zophielo's speak he knew he was proud to be his son or whatever.
"How dare you speak to me that way! Holy Strike!" Zophielo energized mana into his sword and dove at Leo.
"Sir, that attack will kill you if it connects." Thinking quickly, Leo launched a few Rock Shots at the diving angel. Zophielo used most of his mana to destroy the rocks. Even with his sword's mana diminished, he kept diving at Leo.
"Rock Shots!" Leo kept firing rocks, this tactic barely slowed Zophielo down, but slowly it was weakening his attack. The sword was two meters from Leo when he blinded the winged man. "Solar Flare!"
Even though he was blinded, he felt his sword still plunged into flesh. Regaining his sight, he was staring at the primitive human face-to-face. "How was the human still standing?" He looked down and saw the sword through the palm of the human's hand. Usually, a human would be in excruciating pain, but all he saw the evilest smile he had ever seen.
"Got you bird-man. Descending Moon!" Now the sword was out of the way, Leo bashed his mace into the man's skull. Surprise and shock were written on the man's face as he fell to the ground releasing his grip on the sword.
Leo pulled the sword out of his hand and stared down at the man he just killed. Then he heard, "another participant has fallen. Panthera Knight, the human of earth, brutally slain the human of Planet Adam." The crowd booed and threw trash into the arena. They have entirely forsaken the honor and cheers they once gave him.
Itmen saw the angel was slain and ran over. "Good kill human. I normally don't ask for help, but this beastman is stronger than the average Mana Fighter."
"Don't worry, I was planning on it."
Leo and Itmen looked over at the beastman. "We have three participants left. Who will be the next to fall?" The Collector announced to the crowd.
