Walking over to the ship, it looked like it had no entrance. The entire exterior was smooth. Lucy looked around and said, "I don't know how we are going to get in this thing."

All of a sudden a door magically opens a few meters from them, and two mermanians walked out speaking in their language. Lucy reacted before Leo realized what was going on. She dropped down on both of them and knocked them both out with one hit.

"Lucy I didn't even see you react..."

"Leo get over here and help me move the bodies."

Two mermanians entered the hanger. They were here to switch off with the two laying on the ground. "Intruders." The two guards pulled out their blasters and started firing at Leo and Lucy.

"Lucy, leave those two and get the boat running. I will handle the guards." Leo sent this message using mana. Lucy shot him a look of surprise. This technique was something she saw herself doing it in a memory flash. Until now she didn't know you could do it in real life.

Using the knowledge from her flashback, she surprised herself and sent a message back. "Ok." The shock was plastered on Leo's face. Someone besides him knew how to send mana messages. She snapped himself out of the surprise and prepared himself to attack the two guards coming towards them.

"Metal Control." Leo threw out the three daggers, and they went right and flew behind the ship. Leo ran towards the mermanians shooting at Lucy. "Ascending Sun!" Leo channeled what little mana he had into an explosive uppercut and launched the guy on the left into the air.

The three daggers whipped around and stabbed the man in the back. The mermanian tried to shoot Leo point blank. Luckily the mermanian was only a Tempered warrior, and his movements were slow compared to Leo.

Leo kicked the blaster out of his hand. He followed up with a punch to the face. Without any mana, Leo just used brute strength and blew the guy off his feet. The mermanian flew back and hit his head. The man was clubbed unconscious.

Leo pulled the daggers out of the dead mermanian. He looked at him and wondered if he should have used less lethal means. He wasn't in the arena anymore and had no ill will towards the man. Leo decided to think about this later and switched focus back to the mission at hand.

Leo walked into the boat entrance and looked for Lucy.

Lucy searched for the engine room to make sure the engine would start. She looked around till she found it in the stern of the boat. The room had machinery running and a large tube with some kind of sphere of mana floating in it. Looking at she deduced they created this boat based on how a Core Builder revolves mana. This boat was something like a living machine.

Leo stumbled his way through the boat until he was in the at the bridge of the ship. He looked around and saw so many computers. In the middle of the room was a podium with a crystal orb built into it. Leo touched it, but nothing happened.

Outside four mermanians came to check on why the two who were relieved didn't return. The four men were in pearl white uniforms. The tight-fitting clothes showed off the mermanian's physique. The leader had a fierce look and bluish skin. He was what mermanians called pureblood.

Their base was on high alert, and all Mana Fighters were dealing with an intruder on the other side of the island. The intruder had killed hundreds of their men, and now men had gone missing over here.

The four saw the unconscious mermanian and the dead one when they entered the hanger. Looking over at the boat, the group saw two more unconscious by the entrance of the ship.

"Us three will get in there and find out what is going on. Chuchu will wake this one and find out what happened."

The three of them entered the boat and spread out. A mermanian walked into the bridge and saw Leo fiddling with the helm. The Merman fired his blaster and nailed Leo in the right shoulder.

"Damn it. Where did he come from? Metal Control!" He threw out the dagger, and it stabbed through the guard's neck killing him instantly.

"Zemzoda, did you find anything?" A voice came out of the mermanians communication device. "Zemzoda report."

The mermanian on the other line ran to the bridge. "Thias meet me at the bridge." The two mermanians ran to the bridge and found their comrade dead.

"Azuel, I can't heal him with water arts." The mermanian told Azuel shaking his head.

"Metal Control!" Two daggers flew at the mermanian. Azuel blocked it with quickly with an Ice Barrier. Thias wasn't so lucky, and he was stabbed in the gut by the knife.

"Damn you. Ice Prison!" Azuel touched his hand to the hallway and froze the walls, ceiling, and roof. The exit behind Leo was frozen shut. The mermanian ran at him and tried to stab him with a spear. Leo dodged to his left and slipped on the ice.

The tip of the spear slashed Leo's left bicep. Gripping the 3rd blade, Leo plunged it into the Mermanian thigh. "Ahh," screamed Azuel. He flipped the spear around and drove the spear towards Leo skull.

Leo was truly frightened. He now realized he relied on Sprite too much. This is what it felt like to fight someone at the same strength level as yourself. Leo used both hands to grab the spear before it stabbed him. The two of them were in a struggle of strength.

"Metal Control." Pulling the dagger, Azuel blocked ever flew and stabbed the mermanian in the back. The mermanian loosened up on the shaft of the spear. "Ascending Sun." Pushing off the floor, Leo uppercut Azuel into the ceiling.

Landing back down, Azuel used Water Blast to push Leo away so he couldn't deal a final blow. A sphere of water created using mana blasted Leo away. He slid all the way down the hall past the bleeding mermanian. Leo slammed into the door at the other end of the corridor.

Thias crawled into the bridge to get out of the way. Azuel looked rough. His uniform was torn and covered in blood down his leg and back. His blueish skin and black eyes were furious. Since becoming a Mana Fighter, he was never hurt this bad. He excelled in arts and never lost to someone at the same level.

"Water Blasts!" Azuel shot out three blasts of water. "Ice Shards." The spheres turned into several daggers of ice.

Leo turned around and allowed the pieces of ice to stab him in the back. "Agh..." The pain was almost unbearable. Leo couldn't pull in enough mana to control the ship's structure made of metal to defend himself. He couldn't come up with any ideas, and he honestly felt scared for his life.

Azuel limped toward the human. He formed a spear of ice in his hand. He wanted to kill this intruder himself. "This is for killing my brethren." He lifted the ice spear and went to stab Leo.

"Metal Control!" The mermanian spear flew towards Azuel. Seeing the spear flying at his comrade, Thias jumped in front of the metal polearm, and it pierced through his chest.

Stopping midway in his stabbing of Leo, he yelled "Thias!" Looking back, he saw the human kill another comrade of his. "I'm going to make you suffer." He lifted the ice spear again and stabbed Leo.

Leo's blood splattered the ice-coated wall.
