The Queen of the island and Hiro were in a heated battle. Both of them were using lightning attacks. The difference was Hiro also used wind, and the Queen used water.

Hiro was standing there surrounded by carnage. His naval uniform was torn and ragged, but still gave him an air of prestige. Lightning and Wind whipped around him. Hiro's katana was unsheathed and was held by Hiro perpendicular to the ground.

"It has been a while since I let loose like this. "Kaze Raiken!" A sword strike infused with the laws of wind and lighting struck out towards the Queen.

The Queen didn't move. She stood as still as a mountain. The sun danced on her aquamarine battle armor and her golden trident. All royal mermanians battled with tridents. "Ice Barrier." The mana and air instantly froze creating a high barrier in front of the Queen.

The Kaze Raiken smashed into the barrier and mist went everywhere. The ice broke apart, and the Queen took a few steps back.

Some of the mermanians yelled, "Queen, Incoming!" Large plasma launched from the beach bombard the Queen's location. Lucky for her, the mermanians erected a barrier for her. Their combined effort saved her life.

"Hiro if you are receiving this message go to the beach. We have the ship." A voice rang in Hiro's head. That must be Leo, and somehow he is sending me a remote message through mana. That is amazing he thought to himself.

"No time to think about that," Hiro mumbled and took off running to the beach. When he ran up, he saw a large shiny metal ship waiting on him. The door opened, and he entered.

"Why is our new boat attacking us," the Queen asked herself. "Don't let them get away with our new boat."

The mermanians were upset. How dare these humans attack them in broad daylight and steal their new ship from them. All the mermanians used water arts and blasters, but the attacks did nothing to the boat.

"Hope take us to these coordinates." Leo read off the numbers, and the ship zoomed off to that location.

Hiro saw Lucy in the hallway. He picked her up and walked around till he came to the bridge was Leo was located. Upon walking in the room carrying Lucy, Hiro saw blood and wounds all over Leo. It looked like he was doing everything possible to stand there at the helm.

Seeing Hiro walk in with Lucy, Leo finally relaxed. "Hope this man here is Hiro. Listen to all of his commands until we meet up with the fleet." When Leo finished those last words, he fell and fell asleep. He needed a very long rest to recover.

"What am I going to do with these two. One is mana exhausted, and the other is half dead."

"Human named Hiro. I suggest taking Master, and the Human named Lucy to the infirmary. I will pilot the ship to the coordinates my Master gave."

Hiro was surprised. This ship was an Artificial Intelligence machine. He also felt mana flowing through the boat. This was a first for him. It felt like this machine was like a real being. This goes to show that the other races are way more advanced in the technology than us humans are.

----------------------------------------

Hiro and Hope finally rendezvous with the fleet. A few doctors came over from the Bloodstone to nurse Lucy and Leo. The technology was more advanced in Hope's infirmary, so they left them there to recover.

Hiro soon realized that the boat quit listening to any commands as soon as they got to the fleet. This meant until Leo woke up the ship wasn't going to move. She did listen to basic commands especially if they were for her Master's benefit.

The entire science division in the Renegades boarded the ship to study it. The thing that surprised them most was the whole ship ran off of mana. It also absorbed its mana. Meaning that is would never run out as long as it was allowed to charge.

In the infirmary, Hope was instructing the doctors on the equipment. Lucy was hooked up to ship, and Hope was supplying her with pure mana. Slowly Lucy was recovering her body and mana.

Leo was in a more dangerous state. He lost a lot of blood and was mana exhausted. The doctors mostly took care of him and monitored him around the clock. The Fleet Admiral told the doctors that they must do everything possible to save him.

----------------------------------------

Leo spent a week being intensively cared for twenty-four seven. Once his vitals and skin color turned back to a normal tone, the doctors finally relaxed. They just let him rest.

Lucy awoke a few days ago and visited Leo every day. She usually just sat in a chair channeling her mana to heal up. About a half a week later, Leo finally opened his eyes.

"Nice to see you finally awake," Lucy said with a smile. Her long blonde hair nicely put up in a bun. Her smile made Leo feel like he was being looked after by an angel.

Leo smiled at her. He was mostly glad she was okay. Last time he saw her was, Hiro, carrying her into the bridge. He was happy he didn't lose someone again.

Then he remembered the boat, Hope. "Master, my systems told me you woke up."

"The ship has also been worried about you," Lucy said while she laughed.

"I still don't know how I became its master though."

"Just like with artifacts probably through a blood pact."

"A blood pact? What is that?"

"Its when you claim an artifact as your own with mana and blood. An artifact is something that uses mana."

"Oh, that means Sprite was an artifact," thought to himself. "How do you so much about this stuff, Lucy?"

"That is a long story, Leo."

Leo looked around the room and all the machines he was connected to. "I'm not going anywhere anytime soon."

Lucy laughed at that. "That is true." She paused for a few seconds then said, "I was born with the memories of my great ancestor Lilith."

Leo looked at her weird. Who was this Lilith?
