A brigade of ships was flying towards Mexico City. These aircrafts were made of red metal and built like large triangles. They just destroyed a small fortress made a few miles south of the city. This is where the Snakes were stationed.

The draconians were angry. Their base in what was called Brazil, they sent a Core Builder to round up some humans on the border of beastmen's and draconian's land. That draconian they sent never returned.

The draconians sent spies that easily infiltrated the base and returned with info that the humans could not kill a Core Builder. The leaders chalked it up to maybe the beastmen killed him.

The brigade came today to attack and wipe these rats off the face of the earth. Leading this charge was a slim blue draconian female named

Thrae. She had two small horns on her head, and she had a wisp of elemental wind about her.

"Draconians, we attack when we arrive at the city!"

-----------------------

El Chapo II waited for the other two to arrive at the tomb. Both parties eventually showed up with a bunch of people. "You ready, we don't have much time."

El Grande and El Piedra nodded. Then everyone entered the tomb. A man in a big fur coat followed them in.

-----------------------

Maria finally came to a while ago. "Maria pack some things. I'm getting you and Pedro out of here."

Pedro looked at Johnny. This man he joked with all the time was earnest with him. Pedro went behind the bar and packed some food in a pack and grabbed some water.

"Pedro, what are you doing?"

"El Ama, I asked him to grab some things," Johnny said. "I'm not going to let Maria or Pedro go through that ever again."

El Ama looked at the boy in front of her. He finally became a man. "Johnny take them somewhere safe."

Johnny felt relieved she gave them her blessing. "Of course." He gathered Pedro and Maria up, and they left. He decided to head south, someone in the Snakes owed him a favor.

After walking a mile, the three of them saw a brigade of draconians ships.

"Johnny, are those draconians?"

"Yes. Yes, they are..." Johnny's heart dropped. He just dragged the two of them straight into a battlefield.

The draconians opened fire on the city. Each draconian ship blasted the city. The exterior buildings were destroyed. Johnny had the three of them lay on the ground.

Laser beams destroyed everything they hit. "Halt fire. Let us see how they retaliate."

Smoke flew up from the tomb, and a figure flew out into the air. A skeleton with an Aztecan dog mask was floating with a robe. "I, Xolotl, am here to vanquish the enemy to my people." The voice echoed across the sky.

Everyone heard the booming voice. The humans across the city rejoiced. Their god arrived to save them.

Pedro opened his eyes wide. This powerful being and even El Diablo, he wanted to be like these men. Unyielding and powerful.

"May death be quick." Xotolt released a lightning strike from his palm that danced between every aircraft. In seconds, the entire brigade was wiped out.

Thrae jumped out before her ship was destroyed. In minutes all her soldiers were killed. "Demon, I shall slay you."

Xolotl swooped down towards Thrae. She threw several attacks of wind at him, but it didn't even sway him. Xolotl grabbed throat.

The skeleton whispered, "you are going to make us a lot of medicine." Xolotl knocked her out and stabbed her chest. Picking up the draconian the god flew into the sky.

Flying back to the city, Xolotl looked down and saw three people trying to run away.

"The draconians were killed. Let's use this chance to escape." Johnny picked up Maria and Pedro, and they started to run.

"Johnny, I can't run anymore." Pedro was still hurt from the night before.

"Johnny, we don't have to run. No one is chasing us." Maria said to Johnny as she stopped in place.

"If we stop, the cartels will chase us down." Johnny was worried this place would pull them back. He looked at Pedro and knew they had to stop. He couldn't push the boy too much.

Then they heard the booming voice again but above them this time. "Where are you going?"

The three looked up to see the death god. Johnny and Maria were taken over with fear. They were afraid. This being just killed many draconians with one attack. Pedro, on the other hand, looked at Xolotl like a hero.

"I asked you a question." Sparks of lighting started to dance around him.

"We...uh...we are leaving to start our own life," Johnny said shaking. Maria grabbed his hand, and he looked at her. She nodded her head to comfort him.

The god just stared at them for a second. "Is there no way to change your mind?"

This time Maria spoke up. "We just want to live how we want to." She tried to sound brave. She looked over to Pedro, and he looked back confused. He seemed to deduce this conversation disappointed his new hero.

"And you Niño? This city still needs you. Will you turn back?"

Pedro looked at Johnny and then back at Xolotl. Then he looked back at Johnny. "Johnny...take care of Maria. When I get strong, I'm going to find her and take her from you." Pedro winked at Johnny.

Looking at the boy, Johnny knew this was goodbye. "Alright, I will care for her until you come to find us."

Maria looked at this boy that she raised. She loved and cared for her very much. "Pedro, I love you. Take care of yourself."

Xolotl stopped his lightning and said to the boy, "good decision boy. The city needs you. Now run back."

"You two. I don't agree with your decision, but it is yours to make." Xolotl flew into the sky, and the three couldn't see them anymore.

Pedro hugged both goodbyes and started to head back. He had a new mission in life. That was to get stronger and protect this city like Xolotl.

Maria and Johnny didn't want Pedro to go back, but they weren't going to stop him. Outside the city was a vast unknown and they knew they couldn't protect him. Maria grabbed Johnny's hand and started to walk away.

Johnny looked at the beautiful woman pulling him forward. Even though she was raped and beaten, she was ten times stronger than he would ever be.

"Maria, I love you..."

A lightning bolt shot down from the sky and hit Johnny. The two were flung forward. Johnny was killed, but Maria was burnt, but still alive.

Like the angel of death, Xolotl floated down. "You thought you could leave our city whenever you wanted, puta." Xolotl stabbed Maria's heart with his hand. She died feeling trapped in a life of misery.

Xolotl pulled out his hand and flew back into sky holding the draconian.
