In the Aztec tomb, three leaders were surrounded by several dead bodies and blood everywhere. A purple mist filled the air and blue light lit up on the ground around the alter the three were standing around.

Leo heard the whole thing go down. The three cartel leaders led the people in the tomb and slit all their throats letting their blood fall onto the ground. The alter let off a large mana signature, and a figure exited a coffin inside.

This skeleton gave off the same feeling as the spirits Lankani and his master. "This must be an artifact formation Master told me about," Leo whispered to himself when he felt the whole thing happen.

He then heard El Grande say everything and Xolotl repeat it in the skies. This Xolotl was just this man's puppet. To use this artifact, it must need huge sacrifices to work.

After Xolotl killed the draconian ships and the couple who ran, it returned with the draconian. The puppet was done and had to return to its coffin. The men let go of the alter sweating profusely. Using the dead god, cost a significant number of sacrifices and a lot of mental strain on the user.

El Grande, El Piedra, and El Chapo II stumbled out of the tomb. El Chapo II grabbed the draconian and started walking away. The sun was setting, and the devil appeared.

"Where are you going?" asked a man in a giant fur coat.

The three tired old men looked over and knew this must be the demon. "You're... El Diablo," said El Piedra stuttering.

El Grande looked back at the tomb. He knew they would have to kill more people to reawake Xolotl again. How could he get them here quickly?

Even though Leo hadn't used it in a while, he focused his mana on the metal dagger at El Grande's waist and had it fly over to him.

"Don't even think of killing people for your selfish reasons."

With one thought from Leo, the dagger flew like a bullet and stabbed El Chapo II in the back. When he saw El Diablo appear, he tried to drag the draconian away in a hurry.

"El Piedra, we need to attack him together," El Grande said full of fear. Even though El Piedra was scared he nodded. "Attack!" yelled El Grande. He took a step forward, and El Piedra ran towards the hooded figure. Seeing El Piedra take the bait, El Grande tried to run away with that fat body of his.

Seeing the man charge him, Leo recalled the dagger and stabbed El Piedra in the back of the head. El Piedra died and fell to the floor.

Leo walked after El Grande. The man didn't make it far before he was already panting for breath. A blade flew through the air and stabbed the man in the leg. He fell over in excruciating pain.

"You thought you could kill others to save yourself."

"No...no...no. It was for the city. We did it to save everyone."

"Then what were those people dead on the floor for. You didn't save them." Leo pulled the knife out with mana and stabbed it into his other leg.

"Arghh, damn you. You are the demon. Killing men while hiding your true face."

"You want to see my face." Leo slowly lowered the hood with his stubbed right arm to show a man with a scar across his face and gross looking eyes. Leo tried to heal his eyes, but he didn't know any arts to treat wounds. The result was his eyes reforming, but with solid white eyeballs forming with no pupil or iris.

"You...you are a demon." El Grande was scared out of his wits. His body wouldn't stop shaking. Even his neck fat was scared.

"I didn't just kill a couple because they decided to leave town." Controlling the knife, he stabbed El Grande in his wrist.

"You couldn't help yourself. If only you stayed your hand. I don't think you need one anymore." With a thought, the knife sliced off his hand.

A flashback to when Leo had his hands cut off came to him.

~~~~~~"If I remember correctly, you didn't stay this hand when you were told too. So, I don't think you need it. Wind Blade!" An edge of air sliced off Leo's left hand. ~~~~~~
Leo started to shake was he becoming the thing that he despised. He shook his head no. He was punishing evil he told himself.
He stabbed the knife into El Grande other wrist and cut it off too. "Arghhh. Damn you. Damn you to hell demon."
"I don't think you need to speak anymore." The blade flew up and rose to his throat.
"STOOOOP!"
Pedro ran over and screaming. He stood in front of El Grande like he did Maria the night before with tears in his eyes.
"El Diablo, please don't kill him."
"Boy, he's a bad man."
"No, he does what he has too. We all do. Xolotl wouldn't want this."
Seeing this kid blindly accept this man's lie pain Leo's heart. The boy doesn't even know this man just killed the couple he was with.
Pedro grabbed the knife and tugged on it to pull it away. Leo released his grasp on the blade. Pedro grabbed hold of the dagger with both hands and pointed it at Leo.
"If you want to kill El Grande, you will have to kill me first."
Seeing this kid reminded Leo of how powerless he was. Even though Leo could easily take this knife from him and kill El Grande, He didn't have the drive to do it anymore. These weren't his people to protect.
"Boy, I hope for your sake you learn the truth about that man and your people."
Leo turned around and began walking away. He was done with this town. Thinking back to the moment just then, that boy actually saved him from becoming a monster like that beastman.
Pedro watched as El Diablo walk away. He dropped the knife to his side and conflicted. What did he mean by learning the truth? He turned around to see El Grande missing both hands, pants soaked with piss, and a face expressing he looked the devil in the eyes and survived.
