"Grey… I'm soo tired… when can I sleep~?" Blue moaned and groaned as she began losing focus during her training. It had already been two days since Simon made it into Nascent Soul, motivating Blue to work even harder than she did before.

"..."

"Stop acting suggestive." Simon slapped a pillow at Blue, keeping an abnormally straight face.

"Grey!"

Simon walked off into the kitchen and drank some fine wine, totally disregarding Blue. After half a month of this, Simon had gotten used to Blue and the new world. Of course he missed having his cute little disciples and his family around, but he needed to complete this task as soon as possible.

A little wine won't hurt anyone, right?

Simon was just bored. He couldn't find anyone to fight just yet. Simon still needed to wait just a bit longer for Blue to reach Nascent Soul so they can both go to the Divine Tempest Sect. If everything went well and nothing happened to delay this, then Simon would be able to get some much needed combat experience and hone his skills on enemies that have similar strength to him.

Perhaps he would even breakthrough just from the enlightenment attained from experiencing a fierce battle.

Whatever the case, Simon just wanted to get stronger for now. If he could become an immortal sooner rather than later, he would be able to progress throughout this world with moderate ease and be able to protect his disciples and family from most threats that the world had to offer. Of course he would still need much more time spent training to be able to defeat an Immortal Warrior, but he trusted in his knowledge to be able to guide him through.

For now however, he had to pick out a new weapon art to replace the Wraith's Talons that had accompanied him for over 2 years. Although the technique could be considered his best, he had long since needed an upgrade. At his point, even his disciples had better weapon techniques than him. The Wraith's Talons had simply become obsolete over time.

The Blood Guardians also moved away from Simon's old techniques, opting for some newer ones designed by Simon in his free time. As such, they possessed better techniques than him. The only reason he was still stronger would be his immense energy reserve which he manipulated to create various 'spells' which manipulated nature and matter.

Now, Simon had to say goodbye to his oldest friend. A friend that had been more loyal than his parents in his life as an sickly author, a friend that had never once abandoned him. This is his final goodbye to the Wraith's Talons.

'Goodbye old friend. You have been more than useful throughout the years. It will never forget you.' Simon smiled as he reminisced on the times that he cut people down like butter.

'Now I must replace you.'

Simon quickly went through the encyclopaedia in his mind known as his vast knowledge of almost everything. Using some simple mechanics and other metaphysical ideas, Simon slowly started to formulate a blueprint for his next weapon art.

If one only needed to use a gun to shoot bullets, what use would it be for one to train their aim like a madman when they could just use their spiritual senses to track targets before shooting. In layman's terms, Simon was thinking about aimbot. Sure he could aim, but he would prefer for there to be a sense of automatism to the action. If he could just shoot and someone died, then it was good. If he could shoot every single enemy in a 60 metre radius without looking, that would also be good.

Good things happen when you think hard and consider your options. As such, Simon considered his options.

He had a one of a kind weapon of mass destruction, able destroy limbs just with the mass of the round alone. His gun had no imperfections and it was considered the best in the world. Now he just needed his new technique to also be the best in the world.

'What if my bullets did not have to dissipate after shooting through? What if they could pass through a target and curve back to hit another target? With my processing power, high stakes multitasking is nothing.' Simon thought it through with a serious look on his face.

So far he wanted two things from the new weapon art. He wanted aimbot and remote control projectiles. As for anything else, he did not know just yet.

For now, he would create the technique based on these parameters and then test them out in an actual battle before returning to the drawing board to attempt another try. Of course he hoped that this would be the flawless technique he was looking for, but he knew to be realistic is to be wise.

Knowing this, he entered a state of deep thought and began constructing complex algorithms and theoretical ideas in his mind. On paper, an art was just words to understand and copy, but when making an art, one must consider everything. Arts are not created easily, they must take into account all of the laws of the world, understanding truths and power. If one thing does not make sense then the entire art is a waste. Even less than the lowest of lows. That is how hard creating a technique is.

"Hey Grey… what are you doin over here…?" Blue stumbled upon Simon's technique creation session.

While in this state, Simon could not really understand what was happening around him. Every word spoken by Blue became jumbled as Simon's mind got to work with his mental calculations.

Every single detail needed to be perfected like a piece of ancient artwork.

"Hmmm… feel hungry, I hope Grey doesn't get mad if I take a few bites out of the fried octopus tentacles." Blue went over to the fridge and got out some leftover seafood from a day before.

"Yum… I still should have put it in the microwave before taking a bite, but ehhh. I can live with the cold taste." She continued crunching away at the snack.

'Cold Hungering Tentacles…'

'Leviathan Gun Art…'

"Hmmm… I wonder if Grey likes it when I act cute… he's such a hard nut to crack. If only I didn't lose him to Pink! Hmmmph! That b**ch."

'Envious Leviathan Gun Art'

Words continued streaming into Simon's head, slowly clouding it with things that he had no intention of adding into his technique. If he was conscious enough to see this, he would have remarked that this was a hotpot writing to explode.

"Stupid Baka!"

'Stupid… Baka…'

'...'

"Ahhh… it feels so good to let it all out every once in a while. Nothing that I should say in front of Grey when he's awake. This is such a golden opportunity… perhaps I should draw one of those moustaches on his face to scare him when he looks in the mirror? But then again, knowing him, he would shoot the mirror and blow a hole in the wall…"

'Destructive Envious Stupid Leviathan Gun Art.'

"Whew! Well I guess I will go back to bed. Enough of that midnight snacking for now. The fridge is always there should I ever need it. So convenient… I'm starting to love this place so much. Who said the cultivation world is dull and boring?" Blue decided to sit on the coach, procrastinating away from sleep.

"Maybe I should watch some of those ero-animated shows. They look so good in 32K ultra HD!"

'HD Convenient Destructive Envious Stupid Leviathan…'

'Inconsistency Gun Art.'

Simon's head flopped to the side and landed straight on Blue's lap. After creating the technique, Simon fell asleep just like that. All of this random jargon that his mind came up with had taken all of his energy. It was simply too exhausting for him to be awake any longer. Especially since Blue had created a wide array of variables for Simon to introduce into the technique, essentially destroying what he had attempted to create in favour of something totally different.

If Simon knew what had just happened, he may have severely injured someone at the very least. Killing would not be off the table.

But could he really do anything right now? He is asleep and unable to wake up until his body fully recovers. At which point, he will be waking up to find a bunch of information relating to a technique that he has no idea about. Much to his horror, he may discover that this technique is useless and a waste of energy. However, these are just guesses on what may happen next.

In a world where Simon forgot the value of noise cancelling headphones, this is all he could do. Bear with it.

He wasn't the most powerful person in the world anymore. There are things he cannot do. He might be able to figure out a gun, but he sure as hell can't construct noise cancelling headphones.
